Operating instructions for kitchen mixers. Installing a new one, or replacing an old mixer: expert advice, rules and operating technologies, secrets of selection and installation Instructions for use of the bathroom mixer

LLC "CranTrakService" recommends carefully studying the operating manual of the crane manipulator before operating the CMU. When studying and operating the CMU, it is necessary to additionally use PB 10-257-98 "Rules for the construction and safe operation of lifting cranes-manipulators .
Correct operation ensures uninterrupted and trouble-free operation of crane manipulators.
Inattentiveness during adjustment (check) operations can lead to malfunctions of the manipulator crane and emergency situations. Do not install and re-equipment of the CMU yourself.
The crane-manipulator is designed for the production of loading and unloading and construction and installation works. An example of a general view of the CMU is shown in Fig. 1.

When operating a manipulator crane, it is prohibited:

  1. The use of oils that do not correspond to those specified in the manual for the CMU.
  2. The use of oils, the quality of which is not confirmed by a certificate.
  3. Operation in the presence of oil leaks from the hydraulic system.
  4. Working with loads and speeds exceeding those specified in the operating manual of the crane manipulator.
  5. Working with unregulated safety equipment.
  6. Work without outriggers.
  7. Admission to work at the CMU of an uncertified operator.

1. Safety regulations when working with a crane manipulator.

1.1. When extending the boom, increase the length of the cable with the hook.
1.2. When lifting a load close to the maximum weight for a given reach, the operator must check the stability of the loader crane and the correct slinging of the load by lifting it to a height of 0.1-0.2 m.When the load is lifted off the ground, stop lifting for a while, to ensure that the load is kept horizontally, the vehicle remains stable and the load suspended from the rope is properly positioned. Only then start lifting the load. When lowering the load, before contacting the ground, it is necessary to reduce the speed of lowering the load.
1.3. When turning the KMU column, do not use high speeds to avoid dynamic loads and increase the working radius.
1.4. Do not stand between the boom and the vehicle platform, and do not place your hands or lean on the moving parts of the loader crane.
1.5. When lowering the hook below ground level, the speed is slower, and you must make sure that there are more than 3 turns (turns) of the rope on the drum.
1.6. The rope should not be etched unnecessarily in order to avoid uneven winding of the rope around the drum. The winding of the first layer of rope around the drum must be secure and tight.
1.7. Do not touch the hydraulic system oil tank when the hydraulic control unit is operating, because the tank is heating up.
1.8. When the temperature of the hydraulic oil reaches 80 degrees C, stop the operation of the CMU. An increase in hydraulic oil temperature can damage the high pressure line and seals.

The work of the CMU is prohibited:
- With a faulty sound signal and safety devices.
- With weights when the boom equipment is positioned above the cab of the base vehicle.
- On a site with a slope of more than 3 degrees C, with the maximum load for a given departure.
- In closed, unventilated rooms (due to air pollution).
- When the wind speed is over 10 m / s, during a thunderstorm and squall wind.
- At night and in the evening without electric lighting.
- If the air temperature is below -25 and above +40 degrees.

While working on the hydraulic manipulator it is prohibited:
- Lift a load that exceeds the rated weight for the given boom reach.
- Lift a load of unknown mass.
- Sharply slow down the load when performing work operations.
- Tear off the cargo covered with soil or other objects by means of the CMU, as well as frozen cargo.
- It is strictly forbidden to pull up the load.
- Is on a load to be lifted or is attached to a hook.
- Stand under the load being lifted.
- Self-conduct crane manipulator repair and adjustment.
- Retract outriggers when the load is raised or the boom is extended.
- Leave the place of work when the load is lifted.
- Allow unauthorized persons to sling the cargo.

2. Operating modes of the manipulator crane

2.1. Installation of the CMU behind the car cab.
The operating instructions contain a description of the installation design behind the cabin... When mounting in the middle position, in which the crane manipulator is mounted in the middle of the car body, and when mounting the CMU behindWhen the crane system is mounted at the rear of the vehicle body, the capabilities of each loader crane differ from those described in this manual.
2.2. Raise load with boom pointing forward.
The work of the CMU in the area near the cabin is schematically shown by lines leading from the center of rotation of the crane installation to the center of both supports (outriggers), as shown in the diagram.

2.3. Lifting the load by a crane with a manipulator with the boom pointing to the side - the work of the crane, directed by the boom to the side, is schematically shown by lines leading from the center of the crane installation to the center of both rear wheels of the vehicle, as shown in the diagram.
2.4. Lifting the load by the manipulator with the boom pointing back - the work of the CMU, directed towards the body, is limited by lines drawn from the center of rotation of the CMU to the centers of the rear wheels of the vehicle, as shown in the diagram.
2.5. Nominal weight of the crane installation - this is the weight that can be lifted by the pulling force of the KMU winch.
2.6. Lifting capacity of the hydraulic manipulator - the maximum weight of the lifted load, including the weight of the hook and sling, which can be lifted (in accordance with the boom angle and boom length) by the force of the crane installation.
- distance in the horizontal plane from the center of rotation of the CMU to the point of projection of the hook on the horizontal plane.
2.8. Boom length of crane manipulator - distance from the boom lift axis to the pulley axis in the boom head.
2.9. Lift angle of the loader crane - the angle of inclination of the boom of the manipulator crane to the horizon.
2.10. Load lifting height by manipulator is the vertical distance between the bottom of the hook and the ground.

2.11. Installation of outriggers (outriggers) of the manipulator crane - outriggers allow holding the crane-manipulator in a stable position during the work of the CMU. They can be pushed into three positions: minimum, average, maximum. Outriggers consist of two parts, horizontal and vertical.
2.12. Boom sections KMU - a description of each boom section is shown in the figure. For simultaneous telescoping of the boom, the marks indicate the intermediate boom sections, showing the capabilities of the crane system with each extended boom section to its full length.

Point A refers to the boom angle. Point B refers to the lift of the boom above the ground.
The work area does not include shear, movement that occurs as a result of the deflection of the boom.
The actual working radius when lifting a load will increase as a result of the deflection of the boom.

3. Control devices of the manipulator crane

3.1. Appointment of control levers of the CMU.
Typical arrangement of the manipulator crane control levers is shown in the figure, using the UNIC loader crane as an example:

3.2. Manipulator crane lifting capacity scale (with tilt angle indicator).
The scale shows the relationship between boom reach, boom angle and allowable lifting capacity. The lifting capacity scale shows the load, which is more calculated for the capabilities of the crane installation than for its stability. The graduation on the load indicator scale changes according to the number of boom sections and the vehicle load.
For safety, when the boom is fully extended, use the scale reading for full boom extension.
- When the second section is pulled out of the first section, use the readings for 1 + 2 sections.
- When the 3rd section is pulled out of the second, use the readings for 1 + 2 + 3 sections.
- When the mark appears on the side of the 3rd section extended from the second section, use the readings for 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 sections.
The working radius increases as a result of deflection, deflection of the boom, when the load begins to rise, set the boom angle so that the hook is as close as possible to the inside of the boom.

3.3. Manipulator crane lifting capacity indicator.
The indicator shows the weight of the lifted load only when the load is taken off. Since the dial of the indicator rotates around its axis, turning it, it is possible to ensure the reading of indications from the set position.

The dial of the indicator has a scale of correspondence between positions A and B of the capacity indicator for the cable system of suspension of the hydraulic manipulator hook:
- "B" scale for the suspension system on one cable;
- "A" scale for the suspension system on four cables.
Follow the guidelines below to measure the weight to be lifted.
Compare the readings on the indicator with the readings on the capacity scale located on the boom. The scale has two arrows. Read the weight of the load on each arrow: scale "A" for the red arrow and scale "B" for the white arrow.

Recommendations for safe work.
- If the CMU is loaded so that the readings on the indicator reach the rated load, the crane installation may be damaged or overturned. In this case, move the vehicle towards the load to be lifted to decrease the working address.
- When the indicator shows a value less than that indicated in the rated load diagram, the load can be lifted safely.

3.4. Automatic accelerator.
The KMU is equipped with an automatic accelerator for regulating the speed of boom lifting, reeling in / out of the hook cable, telescoping of the boom and turning the column. The working speed can be freely changed from slow to high and adjusted by separate levers.
Throttle Lever:

Before starting and at the end of working operations, switch the accelerator lever to the low (low) speed position, this will avoid jerks during the operation of the CMU.

4. Operation of the manipulator crane.

4.1. Preparation of the loader crane before starting work.
Before starting work on the crane manipulator, check:
- oil level in the hydraulic system (according to the level indicator on the oil tank). The amount of oil is checked with the transport position of the CMU. The oil level should be between the lower and upper edges of the oil gauge window;
- carefully check the condition of the hook, rope, lifting devices and their fastening.
Before starting work, carry out the following preparatory operations:
and). Spend shift maintenance of the CMU (EO) before leaving the park.
b). Make sure the platform is level, slopes less than 3 degrees, and the surface of the platform will withstand the pressure of the outriggers and vehicle wheels during operation. If not, prepare the necessary pads.
in). Perform operations related to fixing the vehicle (in the case of installing the CMU on the vehicle chassis: make sure that the tire pressure is correct, put the parking brake on the vehicle).
d). Start the engine, adjust the rpm, disengage the clutch, engage the power take-off (PTO), engage the clutch. ATTENTION! it is not allowed to engage the power take-off without squeezing the clutch.
e). Extend the outriggers and by moving the appropriate hydraulic valve levers, install the outriggers until the foot pads touch the supporting surface. If necessary (loose, soft soil), be sure to use pads.
Note:
Before starting work, it is necessary to perform several manipulations of the CMU without load at low speeds of working movements (lifting and lowering the boom, turning, telescoping), in order to check the operability and warm up the working fluid to the optimal temperature. The oil temperature should be + 45 ° C - + 55 ° C. When the oil temperature drops, the speed of the CMU working movements decreases due to the increase in the oil viscosity. In the winter season, heating the oil is especially important for the normal operation of the hydraulic system:
- at temperatures below -10 ° С after turning on the hydraulic pump, warm up the working fluid in the system at idle speed for 5 - 10 minutes;
- turn on the mechanisms of the crane-manipulator alternately in both directions without load for 3-5 minutes;
- warming up can be accelerated by turning on a function. For example, move the boom section telescoping handle to retract and hold it for 2-3 minutes to allow fluid to flow into the tank through the relief valve.
Note:
The viscosity of the oil in the hydraulic system of the KMU increases in winter or at low ambient temperatures. Under such operating conditions of the CMU, the hook winding or boom pulling functions may not ensure the normal stop of moving parts. When the oil is cold, there is little movement after the limit switch is triggered. This is not a problem. The automatic system starts to work normally when the oil temperature in the hydraulic system reaches the required value.
4.2. The order of work and basic operations when working on the hydraulic manipulator.
Installation procedure for KMU outriggers:
1). Release the locking lever (stopper).
2). Keep the extend arm depressed while extending the outriggers.
3). The position of the first stop will be indicated by the first mark. When the legs are fully extended, a second mark appears on each side of the horizontal part of the outrigger.

4). Check the extension of the supports.
five). Move the outrigger control levers to the Extend position to extend the vertical legs.
6). Move the outrigger control levers to the “Retract” position to retract the vertical legs.
7). Return the lever to the neutral Stop position to stop the legs extending or retracting.

Note:
The outriggers should be installed according to the following rules:
- Stability during operation is determined by the degree of extension of the horizontal beams of the outriggers: with incomplete extension, stability decreases due to a decrease in the support contour.
- Carefully adjust the horizontal position according to the roll indicator.
- Make sure that the wheels of the vehicle chassis do not come off the ground, taking on part of the load - when fully suspended on the supports, an uneven dynamic load on the hydraulic cylinders of the supports is not excluded, which can lead to their failure.
Attention! Extend the outriggers to their maximum length when operating the manipulator crane.

The procedure for working with the boom of the manipulator crane.
The working cycle of the CMU includes the following working operations:
- lifting and lowering the boom;
- extension-retraction of the telescoping section (s);
- lifting and lowering the load using a winch;
- rotation of the column.
Each of these operations is carried out by moving the corresponding control handle of the hydraulic valve to one side or the other from the neutral position. The control levers are made with self-return: when the impact is stopped, they return to their original position, the movement of the actuator stops. The lever deflection angle determines the speed of the actuator movement.
The movement of the mechanism stops when the control handle returns to the neutral position.
Areas of work with certain weights for boom equipment are limited by curves cargo-altitude characteristics of CMUgiven at the CMU. It is allowed to move any element of the boom equipment in the indicated zones. The speed of working operations is regulated by the stroke of the distributor control handles. Work with the maximum load for a given departure should be carried out at a minimum speed.
Lifting and lowering the boom of the manipulator crane.
Note:

A sharp jerk during a lifting operation causes an increased dynamic load on the CMU, which can damage the manipulator crane. Move the control levers slowly and smoothly. The boom, extended a long distance, raises and lowers the load during operation at a higher speed than when folded. Therefore, move the control levers slowly. When lowering the boom with a load, the working radius increases and the lifting capacity decreases according to capacity table... Read the load cell reading to confirm safe operation before lowering the boom.
Boom lift KMU: Move the lever towards “RISE” to raise the boom.
Lowering the boom KMU: Move the lever towards “LOWER” to lower the boom.
Boom stop KMU: Return the lever to neutral to stop boom operation.

Lifting and lowering the crane hook of the manipulator.
Check that the hook is not overloaded. Make sure that the hook lift limit buzzer is on. Hook striking the upper boom pulley may damage the cable and the block in the boom head and may cause the load to fall.
Lifting the crane hook:move the lever towards "UP" to raise the hook.
Lowering the crane hook:move the lever towards “DOWN” to lower the hook.
To stop the crane hook:return the lever to neutral to stop the hook.
Note:
Lowering the hook without load or with a load to the ground weakens the rope winding, which can result in uneven winding and can shorten the rope life.
Do not unwind the rope completely, for example when lowering it below ground level, make sure that there are always at least 3 turns of the rope on the drum.
If the first layer of cable is not wound evenly, the cable wound on top of this layer may get caught between the turns of the first layer, which will lead to uneven winding and cable jerks during operation.
When the rope is unrolled to the first layer or wound on the first layer, slowly wind / unwind the rope so that the first layer lies evenly and tightly - loop to loop.

Extension / retraction (retracting, telescoping) of the KMU boom.
When extending a boom with a hook close to the boom head, the hook may hit the top of the boom, which could damage the cable and reel in the boom head and cause the load to fall.

KMU boom extension: Move the lever to the right to extend the boom.
Retracting (retracting) the boom of the manipulator crane: Move the lever to the left to retract (retract) the boom of the manipulator crane.
Stop boom movement: Return the lever to the neutral position to stop the telescoping of the crane arm.
Note:
The hook rises to the boom head when the boom extends and lowers when the boom retracts (retracts). When using the boom to extend / retract, carefully monitor the position of the hook.
The procedure for extending / retracting boom sections, depending on their number.
Boom extension sequence.
Boom extension starts at the section with the largest cross section.
The sequence of retraction (retraction) of the boom sections of the KMU.
The retraction of the boom starts from the last section, the smallest cross-section.
The diagrams below indicate the order of extension / retraction of the boom sections of the KMU, depending on their number.

Note:
If boom telescoping speed is reduced due to high oil viscosity at low ambient temperatures, preheat the hydraulic oil.
Manipulator crane boom rotations.
Perform boom swing work at low vehicle engine rpm.
When starting and ending boom swing operations, reduce the column swing speed.
Sudden movement of the lever with a raised load can lead to swinging and collision of the load with nearby objects. Swinging of the lifted load increases the working radius of the CMU, which can lead to overloading.
With a large boom reach and a small boom angle of the manipulator, the working radius of the CMU increases and the lifted load moves faster.
Make turns slowly. Boom turns with a raised load over the vehicle from the front or rear of the machine, from the rear to the side, or from the front or rear side makes the vehicle unstable. In such cases, keep the load as close to the ground as possible when swinging the boom.

KMU boom rotation clockwise: Move the lever to the “clockwise” position to turn the boom clockwise.
KMU boom rotation counterclockwise: Move the lever to the counterclockwise position to turn the boom counterclockwise.
Stopping the swing of the boom: Return the lever to its normal position to stop the boom swing. To turn clockwise - the position is "right" and counterclockwise, respectively - "left".
Installation of the crane outriggers in the transport position.
Note:
The outriggers can only be removed after the boom of the manipulator crane has been removed.
If the outrigger is handled carelessly, there is a risk that your fingers could be pinched, so hold the lever with one hand and push the outrigger with the other.
Be sure to squeeze the outrigger extension lever and slowly retract the outrigger.
Lock the fully retracted (retracted) outrigger with the locking lever.
- move the control lever of the outrigger to the “right” position to retract the vertical parts of the outrigger.
- keep the extension lever depressed to retract the horizontal outrigger sections on each side, after the vertical outrigger sections are fully retracted.
- after all outriggers are completely retracted, check the horizontal parts of the outriggers (outriggers) are firmly fixed so that they do not slide out to the sides of the vehicle.
- turn the locking lever - to block the outriggers.

Bringing the crane to the transport position.
Note:
Make sure boom, outriggers and hook are secured and secured.
Make sure the outrigger parts are fully retracted and secured.
Make sure the outrigger parts are secured with the locking lever.
The movement of the loader crane with an insufficiently secured boom, outriggers, hook can lead to an accident, damage to parts of the loader or an impact on an oncoming vehicle.
Instructions for bringing the manipulator crane to transport position.
To bring the manipulator into the transport position, you must:
1). Retract (retract) the boom.
2). Move the boom forward or backward. Stop boom retraction to a position where both yellow markings match.

3). Lower the boom to the limit. Make sure that the hook does not hit the driver's cab when it is in front or on the loader crane body when it is in the back.
4). Anchor the hook at the appropriate attachment point.
five). Pull the hook until the boom is tensioned. Attention! Do not overtighten the link when the hook is attached to the front of the loader crane. This can cause the vehicle frame to bend or damage the bumper.
6). Remove the vertical and horizontal parts of the outrigger on both sides of the transport and fix them.
7). Make sure the throttle lever is in the lowest speed position.

8). Turn off the buzzer of the crane hook lift limiter.

Nikolay (Irkutsk)
I had heard for a long time that mixers were produced in Irkutsk, but did not believe until I visited the plant on the warm lakes. They periodically arrange excursions, I signed up at the store, which is located near my house. I was shocked that there is still production in Russia, and even set to such a level, they have established a full cycle of production and assembly of mixers, I recommend everyone to see it with their own eyes. By the way, in the same store, I previously bought myself a sink mixer from the Costa series. There I also found out that there is an online store, after visiting the factory, I updated the bathroom, threw out the old Chinese faucets that had exhausted their resource in a year (I decided to save money at that time, it did not work) and bought a bath mixer and sink from the same Costa series. For three months of operation, there is not a single comment, the quality is pleasing, I hope that the promised 5 years will last.

P.s. I placed the order directly from the phone without leaving the store and took them there, tk. were in the store on the balance, the price is lower than retail.

Good day! Long doubted whether to order a mixer or not to order. It is a little scary to buy something that, in principle, I have not seen alive, and even from an unfamiliar site. I took a chance. I myself am from St. Petersburg, a store in Irkutsk! Thanks to the managers - the order was sent from Moscow, managed to reach it on time, free delivery (as indicated in the promotion)! Checks were sent to the post office in electronic form. I am very pleased with the product, however, as well as with the operational work of the store employees. Thank!

Anastasia (Krasnodar) Good day! My husband and I stumbled upon this site by accident. Having studied customer reviews, we also decided to take a chance and ordered three mixers of the "Quadro" series at once. The managers placed the order very quickly and on the same day our mixers were sent for shipment to the transport company. I was impressed by the speed of work, attentiveness and courtesy of the employees of the online store. After 3 days we received our order in Krasnodar. Everything is neatly packed, installation instructions, and we were delighted with the quality of the mixers. I can't wait to finish the renovations in the bathroom as soon as possible to try them out. We will definitely recommend this store to our friends. Very satisfied. Thank you so much.

Mixer operating instructions

If you did not use the services of a master and decided to start installing the mixer on your own, do it according to the installation instructions specified in the product passport from the manufacturer:

  • Before a test run of water, unscrew the aerator from the spout so that dirt and scale that have exfoliated during installation are flushed out of the mixer. After the water has passed, put the aerator back on the spout. It is recommended to do the same during water shutdowns, maintenance work, etc. If solid particles of dirt or scale get on the working surfaces of the ceramic plates in the valve heads, during the opening or closing of water, they may be damaged.
  • Do not use too much force to close the mixer, in order to avoid breaking the ceramic plates of the valve heads. Replacement of broken ceramic plates is not covered by the warranty. The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the design of this mixer that do not affect its technical characteristics;
  • Use only those agents for cleaning that meet the requirements for the care of a particular product. Do not use abrasive products - abrasive powder, abrasive paste;
  • It is necessary to clearly define the dosage of the cleaning agent and be guided by the exposure time indicated on the package. Do not leave the product for a longer time;
  • Any cleaning agent must first be applied to a sponge or cloth before cleaning the kitchen or shower faucets. After using the products, rinse the faucets with clean water and wipe with a dry soft cloth;
  • Use soap and water to clean and maintain the chrome faucet surfaces, then polish with a soft dry cloth. If calcified deposits form on the surface, clean the mixers in these areas with grape vinegar;
  • As it gets dirty, clean the faucet aerator, replace the shower head with a new one.

Plumbing, namely mixers, apparently, like everything in our life, is fashionable and out of fashion. Even if everything is in order with your old tap, you will still want to change it to a newer and more modern one after a certain time, especially if you are planning a small cosmetic repair. Fortunately for you in specialized stores, plumbing is presented in a huge assortment and the price of faucets can vary greatly. The more expensive a faucet you buy, the longer it will serve you, expensive products are usually provided with a long-term or even lifetime warranty, do not forget about this when you go to purchase plumbing.

Well, now let's move on to the direct description of the procedure for changing the mixer.

We shoot
The first thing to do is, of course, remove the old mixer, to do this, first turn off the water, either by shutting off the main valve, if you have a separate connection, or by turning off the valves on the pipes directly in front of the mixer. Next, turn on the tap on the mixer to relieve pressure in the system and allow water to drain.

Now we take an adjustable wrench and disconnect the mixer from the hot and cold water pipes. If you are going to change not only the mixer, but also the hoses, then disconnect the hoses from the supply pipes, if only the mixer, then it is easier to disconnect the hoses from it.

Now is the time to remove the mixer itself. Faucets are usually attached in two standard ways. Wide base mixers; it is necessary to start disassembling from the crane handles. You need to remove the handles and gaskets under them to get to the nuts holding the mixer. Once you get to the nuts, unscrew them.

Faucets on a narrow base; unfortunately they are attached to the underside of the sink. And in order to remove them, you have to crawl under the sink, space plays an important role here. If you are lucky and you have roomy under the tulip "\u003e the sink is spacious, then for work you only need pliers to unscrew the nuts. However, if rigid pipes fit and do not block access, then you will have to tinker with a special rack wrench (a key specially designed for work in narrow spaces).

Once you unscrew the nuts securing the faucet, you just have to pull the faucet out of the sink. If there is some kind of gasket between the base of the mixer and the sink, then it should be carefully removed from the sink, for which you can use a knife. You need to remove all old seals and dirt such as limescale around the mixer. To do this, you can use special household chemicals, or vinegar diluted in water.

Installing a new mixer
If you are installing a mixer with a wide base, then first you need to install it in place, put in gaskets and tighten the nuts by hand. Next, you need to align the mixer and tighten the nuts with a wrench. Coat the base with silicone or a special sealant, then install the cover and mixer handles.

with another version of the mixer, you will have to do the same as above, but with a couple of small changes. The base sealant should be applied before installing the mixer in the sink. Since you need to work under the sink, it will be more convenient if someone can help you upstairs to hold and level the faucet while you tighten the nuts.

Once you have completely installed the faucet on the sink, you should connect the water supply and open the valve to check for possible leaks. Before using a new faucet, remove any excess sealant around the base.

And finally, before starting operation, open the water for a couple of minutes, this will wash out all possible industrial dirt from the mixer, and you can safely use it.

That is, in general, all that needed to be done, and now you have a brand new mixer.

The very installation of the mixer begins with the fact that pipes with hot and cold water are screwed to it. When you screw the pipes, it is necessary to wind flax or tow on the thread, so that these pipes do not leak especially at the joints. It is necessary to very firmly and reliably connect the taps so that they do not dangle and are "tightly" screwed on. Be careful, however, as the threads may break. Then we fix the mixer itself by tightening the nuts, this also needs to be done carefully and carefully. After all, you need to check that the mixer is level, does not stagger, and at the same time you can freely turn on and off the water.

How to disassemble a single lever mixer?

Single-lever mixers are the most common due to their low price and relative convenience.

They allow you to adjust the pressure and control the temperature of the water flow with the movement of one hand. Single-lever mixers can be cartridge, or disc, and ball. Both types of mixers are simple enough and easy to disassemble and assemble independently. Below we will discuss how to disassemble each type of single lever mixer.

Cartridge mixers are based on the operation of a shutter consisting of a pair of discs of a specific shape, which, when the control rod is turned, are displaced relative to each other, changing the opening of the hole, and thereby regulating the flow force and fluid temperature.
All malfunctions that occur are most often associated with clogging of the mechanism, which leads to mixer leaks. Therefore, to fix the problem, you must disassemble the mixer and replace the faulty cartridge with a new part.
In order to disassemble the disc mixer, you must perform the following steps:
1) Using a screwdriver or a knife, remove the plug with red and blue marks. It is in the front, under the handle.
2) Next, you need to unscrew the screw that connects the stem to the lever. Depending on the manufacturer, you need a 3mm hexagon.
3) The mixer lever is removed.
4) The old cartridge is replaced with a new one. An old part is often faulty.
5) The following is the assembly of the mixer in the reverse order.
It is best to take the old cartridge with you in order to find a new part of the correct size. In this case, you should pay attention to the material from which the control rod is made, it should not be plastic, but brass.

Ball mixers are a little more complicated, but more convenient to use. Their work is based on a core with a hollow ball, in which three holes are imprinted for supplying and mixing water. The ball is fixed by a ball sleeve on special seats made of dense rubber, and is driven by a rod.

Most often, a breakdown of such a mechanism involves a complete replacement of the entire mixer, its normal service life is up to five years. Failures that can be manually repaired are most likely related to a decrease in the outlet pressure. This flaw usually occurs when the faucet aerator is clogged.

If this happens to the mixer, the following is done:
1) Unscrew the nut from the aerator (tap spout).
2) The mesh is taken out, washed and blown in the direction opposite to the water flows.
3) Insert the washed mesh and screw the nut into place.
To increase the service life of one-hand mixers, it is necessary to install high-quality filters on the pipes. With prolonged downtime, the parts of the mechanism coke, which leads to breakdowns and premature failure, so use them regularly. Processed
