The modern market is downright saturated with heating equipment from different manufacturers. This also applies to heat generators using natural gas. Even if you know all the necessary parameters well, it will not be easy to choose among the many brands. Types of gas boilers

For a general understanding, we first present a brief classification of heat generators. They are divided into different types according to several criteria:

according to the method of fuel combustion and flue gas removal: these are units with an open (atmospheric) and closed (supercharged) combustion chamber;

Yes, and the reviews of homeowners sound very eloquent: if you take a floor unit, then BUDERUS or VIESSMANN, and if you take a wall unit, then VAILLANT or BOSCH is better. But they all have the following characteristics in common:

Unfortunately, leading the rating in terms of quality, German boilers firmly hold the lead in terms of cost. Having just appeared on our market, the ARISTON and BERETTA brands showed good performance at a reasonable price. Years later, the rating of double-circuit gas boilers of these brands fell, a lot of negative reviews appeared regarding the reliability of work, the quality of components and materials. At this time, products, despite the reasonable cost, are not in great demand. Wall-mounted gas boilers and columns from these manufacturers are well known, floor models were bought much less frequently.

From the group of “everyone else”, the brand stands out sharply, firmly settled in the middle price category and gaining popularity in our market at an accelerated pace. This is the Slovenian brand PROTHERM, which has already gained a reputation for its reliable thermal technology. Wall and floor boilers offered by the Slovenian manufacturer may not be as stuffed with the latest achievements in the field of heat engineering as the "Germans", but they are affordable, reliable and adapted to the realities of the CIS countries.

Positive feedback about PROTHERM boilers is heard not only from users, but also from the masters who install them. This suggests that the maintenance of equipment is also relatively inexpensive.

Asian manufacturers

From Asian boilers for heating, 2 well-known brands and a whole group of products from the Middle Kingdom can be distinguished, which are quite difficult to list, and not necessary. People have long had their own opinion about Chinese technology, in confirmation of this, we will add that buying a Chinese boiler is a lottery, no matter how attractive the price is. We will not consider them, nor recommend them, the decision to purchase these products is made by everyone for himself.

One of the world famous South Korean manufacturers of wall and floor gas boilers is KITURAMI. We must pay tribute to the products of this brand: they are very reliable and high-tech, have all the same functions as the "Germans" and are just as well automated. The problem is that KITURAMI also "bites" on the price and then the eminence of the trademark begins to play a role, and here the European brands win.

As for the reviews, they are mostly positive, that is, this "Korean" is on the same level as the BAXI and BOSCH boilers. Also, the design of the unit is adapted to low gas pressure and other delights of the Russian hinterland. Definitely recommended for use.

Another, already budget version of a gas boiler for the home, is the Korean unit of the NAVIEN trademark. Appeared on our market relatively recently and has since taken root well. Known for its wall-mounted heat generators, which have the full range of necessary functions and a good degree of automation. Despite the obvious budget, received a lot of positive feedback. Breakdowns happen, but they are fixed quickly and inexpensively. NAVIEN is a technique that is talked about - the optimal price-quality ratio.

As you can see, it is not easy to choose a gas boiler even among manufacturers. If funds allow, you should not fall below the average price category, where the "Chinese" and the boilers of the CIS countries are located. We did not talk about the latter, since they do not lead any ratings. By and large, such boilers are a body made by us, equipped with imported automation, sometimes again Chinese.
