The first stage is preparatory. In order for the design of such an original decoration to be successful, you must have everything you need at hand. The main material from which the tree will be made is green and brown plastic bottles. We will use green bottles to create the leaves of the evergreen, brown ones for the trunk. The amount of plastic containers determines the size of your tree, i.e. the more bottles, the taller and more lush the tree, you will get the most lush leaves using a 2-liter container. Before proceeding to mastery, all bottles must be cleaned of paper stickers and labels.
As an auxiliary tool for mastery, you need to prepare:
- stationery knife
- sharp scissors
- wide adhesive tape
- a metal base with rods, which will later play the role of a trunk
- a rope with which you will tie the base of the leaves on a palm tree.
The next step is the manufacture of the product itself.
Remember that in order for the tree to look aesthetically pleasing and beautiful, all bottles must be the same size and diameter. In the manufacture, we will use two colors - brown and green, so if your green bottles are “various in size”, then a smaller container can be attached to the base of the crown, but as for brown ones, vessels of the same size are needed here.
The production of an exotic tree involves three main stages:
Creation of leaves;
Barrel assembly;
Gathering all the parts and shaping the tree itself.
With a sharp clerical knife, the bottle is cut into two parts, where the upper half will play the role of foliage, and we do not need the lower half. In the upward direction to the neck, with scissors or a knife, the bottle is cut into small longitudinal strips, and this is done with each green bottle. Then such a kind of foliage from half bottles is strung on top of each other, connecting them with a strong tourniquet or rope. A cork is screwed on the last and first bottle, through which a tourniquet is threaded and tied into a knot so that the container fits snugly together. The top of the palm tree should consist of 5-6-7 leaves, therefore, depending on the amount of containers available, you create your tree, controlling the size and splendor.
After the foliage is ready in full, we move on to the trunk. The barrel, as mentioned earlier, is made from brown bottles of a similar diameter, cut off the lower base with a knife, after which wide longitudinal cuts are made towards the neck, there should be 6 such longitudinal fragments. After a similar action has been done with each brown bottle, they are fixed to each other, like green vessels, only the plastic barrel must now be put on a metal rod in an upright position.
At the upper base of the trunk, the foliage is fixed, evenly distributing it on all sides. With the help of adhesive tape and a tourniquet, the leaves are attached to the trunk. Our tree is ready, it remains only to find a place for it in your garden.
Let's move on to the installation. Ideally, this is a welded metal platform, in the absence of this, immersion in the ground by 40-50 cm. For the durability of your skill, it would be good to compact the tree installation site with soil or concrete.

We need bottles of different sizes, those that are larger to use at the base, and smaller ones, at the top of the trunk. Bottle caps must be removed. You will need both the top of the bottle and the bottom.
Then, the edges of the blanks are cut out in the form of petals, about 6 “petals” should be obtained.

In the future, they will fold into each other. Since there is no hole for the wire at the bottom of the bottle, it must be made using a hot nail, a knife, or it can also be drilled. Having folded the blanks, you get a rather fluffy trunk of a palm tree.

Bottles can be used in different shades of green. You can also experiment with the volume of containers, for example, use two-liter containers at the base, and arrange smaller ones at the top. To do this, on green bottles you need to cut off the neck and bottom.
Then, cut the bottle into three pieces.
If you want wider leaves, you can cut it only into two parts. You will get such a preparation.
After, the strips need to be straightened in different directions.
This will give some splendor to the crown!
Now, the simplest and final stage in creating a palm tree from plastic containers remains!
After all the details are ready, you need to securely install the frame of wire or other suitable material in the desired location on the site. And then, string on the frame all the received parts of the palm tree.
Using a large cork from a five-liter bottle, make a retainer on top to securely fasten the leaves. To do this, in the center of the cork, you need to make a hole, a slightly smaller diameter than the frame.

To create a palm tree we need the following materials:
- Plastic bottles in different sizes and colors
- Scissors
- Scotch

1) In order to make a palm tree trunk, you need to take brown bottles of 1.5 liters 2 and 2.5. First you need to cut the bottle from the side of the neck by about a third. You will need the upper part, but do not rush to throw away the lower part - you can also make a trunk out of it by analogy.
2) Cut the bottom of each bottle with a heated knife. We will attach the frame of our palm tree to this cut.

2) Cut off the edge of the neck and the base of the bottle. We cut the resulting blank from the bottom of the bottle towards the narrow part into 3 approximately equal parts, but not completely. Approximately 3 cm should remain until the end of the bottle. We give the edges of each part the shape of a narrowed semicircular petal. we begin to gently bend these petals outward in the same way as we did the trunk of a palm tree. Get something remotely resembling a three-blade fan. Now we cut each resulting sheet from the edge to the middle. In the middle, you need to leave a little uncut space - about 2 cm. It turns out like a fringe. The narrower the strips in width you make, the more magnificent the fringe will turn out, and hence the foliage of our palm tree.
3) Now the fringe strips need to be bent in different directions. 1-bend up, 2- leave as is, 3 - down. So the sheet becomes voluminous.
4) There are 2 ways to decorate the leaves. In the first case, we leave our blanks as they are, and in the second, the blanks need to be strung on a flexible wire to make long voluminous branches. In the second case, more bottles will be needed, but the palm tree will also acquire a luxurious crown.
We take a bottle of dark brown color and cut it like a blank into leaves - from top to bottom into thin strips. We collect the segments and wrap them inside.

3) Install the crown - glue the workpiece to the edge of the frame with the neck down.
4) We tie artificial bananas to palm branches
To fix our palm tree, we stick a metal pin about 30 cm deeper into the ground for stability (if desired, you can fill it with concrete), but so that at least 40 cm sticks out of the ground - to string the trunk and put our palm tree on top.
Now our plastic bottle palm tree is ready.
