All products are manufactured on Italian equipment from sheets of Sanitary Acrylic/ABS multilayer polymeric material of the Austrian company "Senoplast" on Italian vacuum forming equipment. Bathtubs and shower cabins of the famous world brands "Jacuzzi", "Teuco", "Albatros", "Villeroy&Boch" are made of the same material.

In Europe and other Western countries, BAS has long earned the trust of the consumer. Cast iron and steel baths are a thing of the past because they are inferior in many ways. Acrylic bathtubs are more resistant to mechanical damage, are much easier to clean and do not lose their color over the years. In addition, they are very pleasant to use, retain heat well while taking a bath.
BAS acrylic bathtubs come in a variety of colors to help you choose the one that best suits your bathroom design.

If you want more than just a bath, BAS hot tubs are available. By purchasing a hot tub, you will have a personal medical office. Hydromassage relaxes, improves blood circulation, and even improves immunity. It is used for both medicinal and cosmetic purposes. The BAS hot tub is not only useful, but also brings a lot of pleasure.

So, you have decided to purchase an acrylic bathtub. Perfect solution! In this article, we will give you 5 of the most important tips to help you make the right choice so that your bath gives you only pleasure and benefit for many years to come.

When choosing an acrylic bath, it all depends on your desires and financial capabilities. In order not to get lost in all the variety of baths that currently exist, it is worth understanding a few key points that will make your further search easier.

Tip 1: Prices vary
Like any product, acrylic bathtubs vary in price. Now on the Russian market there are a large number of manufacturers of acrylic baths, offering from the cheapest to the most expensive models. The price of a bathtub is influenced by the quality, the size of the bathtub, and its design. The lower price limit for an acrylic bath is now about 8 thousand rubles. The top has practically no limit.

Tip 2: Realize your design dreams
One of the main advantages of acrylic bathtubs is the wide variety of designs. Your acrylic bathtub can be of almost any shape, from the classic rectangular to the unusual asymmetrical. This variability allows the buyer to install a bath even in the smallest room, as well as to implement any design ideas. If you are dreaming of a refined and stylish acrylic bathtub, pay attention to the design of bathtubs from Italian manufacturers.

When choosing an acrylic bath, decide what place it will take in your bathroom, the size of the bath depends on it. For a small space, an ergonomic 120×70 bath is suitable, and for a larger space, you can choose a more impressive size, such as 190×120.

Tip 3: Focus on quality
When choosing a bathtub, the first thing to do is to check the availability of all certificates, and also find out what polymer the bathtub you like is made of. There are two types of polymers that are used to make acrylic bathtubs.
The first - ABS / PMMA - is a combination of two types of polymers - acrylonitrile butadiene styrene and polymethyl methacrylate, connected by coextrusion, that is, the connection of materials with different properties. The thickness of the acrylic layer in such baths is only 5-10%, everything else is an ABS polymer, which has a number of disadvantages - a relatively low density, a tendency to absorb moisture, roughness and porosity of the structure. Such baths are usually cheaper, but be prepared for the imminent appearance of microcracks, chips, loss of appearance. The service life of such bathtubs is only 3 years.

The second type of material is 100% cast homogeneous acrylic, that is, polymethyl methacrylate. Bathtubs made of such a polymer have all the qualities necessary for a bathtub - wear resistance, high strength, good appearance, maintainability. The service life of bathtubs made of homogeneous cast acrylic can be 10 years.

How can I tell the difference between a 100% molded solid acrylic bathtub and an ABS/PMMA bathtub? Look at the side of the bathtub. If the bathtub is made of homogeneous acrylic, there should be only two layers - acrylic and resin. Bathtubs made of ABS/PMMA have three layers - a thin layer of acrylic, a large layer of ABS plastic and a third layer of reinforcement. So if the bathtub has a cut thickness of more than 8 mm, and the seller tells you that acrylic is 6-8 mm thick here, then it is most likely that he is disingenuous. Acrylic as such is 1 mm here, followed by a layer of plastic - ABS.

The quality characteristics of an acrylic bathtub, which you should pay attention to, also include its rigidity and shape stability. These qualities are given to the acrylic bathtub by the reinforcement procedure that the bathtub is subjected to during manufacture. The reinforcing layer consists of fiberglass and epoxy resin. And the process of reinforcement, respectively, is the application of such a layer to the bath. The more layers, the stronger the bath. The number of layers with which the bath was strengthened at the factory is easy to determine by carefully examining the edge of the side. The layers are clearly visible, like annual rings on wood. Therefore, the walls of the bath should not sag, this must be checked when choosing a bath.

Obviously, the better the quality, the higher the price. Compromise allows you to find bathtubs from Polish manufacturers that offer a very reasonable price-quality ratio.

Tip 4: Tuning for your bath
For an acrylic bathtub, you can purchase additional equipment. It includes faucets, a hydromassage system, decorative panels, end / front curtains, headrests, handles, rugs, etc.

Of all the above, the necessary equipment, which will definitely need to be purchased along with the bathroom, includes a mixer. And here is another advantage of an acrylic bathtub - the faucet can be placed on the side of the bathtub in any place where it will be more convenient for you. And you can even make several mixers. Acrylic bathtub allows you to realize all your ideas.
Faucets, like all plumbing fixtures, vary in price and quality. Choosing, for example, Italian manufacturers, you can be sure that the money paid is not in vain. Take it cheaper, made in China - it's up to you, but don't expect a long service life.

Tip 5: Buy a bath without leaving home
Now there are many places where you can buy an acrylic bath: plumbing stores and salons, construction markets, specialized shopping centers. But all this requires a lot of time, effort and nerves. Recently, it has become possible to purchase acrylic bathtubs on the Internet. It is much more convenient and profitable. You can choose the option that suits you in terms of price and design, which will be delivered to you directly at the specified address.

BATH CARE

Use a liquid cleaner and a soft cloth to clean your bathtub daily. To maintain the shine of the bath, you can wipe with a cloth with a polishing agent. Stubborn stains in the bath can be removed with the usual products used in everyday life for washing smooth surfaces. To wash the bath, use only soft cloth napkins.

Scale deposits on the surface are removed with a soft cloth moistened with lemon juice or wine vinegar.

Surface scratches or burn marks from cigarettes can be removed by lightly sanding fine sandpaper (No. 1000/2000) with water. You can restore the shine of the surface with a liquid polishing agent.
CLEANING THE BATH HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

This type of cleaning is carried out using hard water (over 15 salt deposits per cubic meter of water). It is recommended to clean the bath water system twice a year as follows:
Fill the tub with hot water (40 C).
Pour in liquid detergent at the rate of 2 g per 1 liter of water and run the whirlpool for about 5 minutes.
After that, turn off the electric pump and drain the water from the bath.
Fill the bath with cold water again and turn on the hydromassage for 2 minutes.
Drain and clean the tub (see "Washing the tub").

IMPORTANT NOTE

WARNING: Never use metal brushes or tools, solvents or detergents with abrasive additives to remove dirt from the surface of the hot tub. Also avoid getting ammonia or chlorine on the brass and chrome parts of the tub.

HOW TO USE THE WHITE BATH

Never turn on the hot tub until the water reaches a level 5-6 cm above the opening of the jets. Never use the bathroom after taking alcohol or medicine. Hydromassage for medicinal purposes can only be carried out on the advice of a doctor who will select the appropriate duration of sessions and water temperature for you.

Taking a cold bath improves your health. A warm or slightly hot bath relieves tension. To relax muscles and relieve pain, take a bath (up to 40 C). The first hydromassage session, which should be carried out only in warm water, should last no more than 10 minutes. The effect of water jet massage is directly proportional to the temperature of the water and the duration of the session. After taking a bath for too long, you may feel tired. TRANSPORTATION OF BATHTUBS

The bath must only be transported in a horizontal position. When transporting and installing the bath, care must be taken not to damage the piping systems and electrical equipment. Bath should be moved only for the body or frame. It is necessary to avoid mechanical damage to the body of the bath, the panel, and also to exclude the possibility of exposure to chemically active reagents on the surface of the product. During transportation in the cold season, before installation, the bath must be kept at room temperature for at least 6 hours.

ATTENTION! It is strictly forbidden to move the bath by pipelines, nozzles, handles and other equipment! Inspect the goods for compliance with the order, the absence of mechanical damage, completeness, the availability of accompanying and warranty documentation.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE BATH

The room in which the bath is installed must meet the following requirements:

Tiling and finishing work to be completed;

The possibility of easy access to the components and assemblies of the bath for its preventive warranty maintenance and repair should be provided;

The presence of a power line with the required parameters and a socket with a connected ground contact. The power supply to the connection point of the bath must be provided by a double-insulated electrical cable with a cross section of at least 2.5 mm2 and in accordance with the norms and standards of the EU;

Availability of water supply and sewerage. The sewer pipe of the bathroom must not rise above the floor at the point of connection by more than 10 cm. If this is not possible, then a podium must be provided under the bath;

BATH INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

The installation of the bathtub must be carried out only by qualified specialists, in compliance with the following requirements:

Installation of a bathtub without a frame, as well as with a modified frame, is not allowed. Legs are used to level the bathtub and to adjust the gap between the bathtub panel and the floor. The bath must rest on all points of support in order to exclude uneven distribution of the load and, as a result, the appearance of microcracks in the bath body;

The bathtub must not be walled up in tiles, panels or hard mortars. To prevent moisture from getting under the bathtub or on the hydromassage equipment, the seams between the bathtub and the wall must be sealed with sanitary silicone.

Avoid getting dirt and building dust on the surface of the bath. This can cause clogging and failure of the whirlpool equipment or lead to scratches on the surface of the tub, during subsequent unprofessional cleaning.

When performing work on the withdrawal of water supply and sewage pipes, it is necessary to take into account the linear dimensions of the bath. Otherwise, the connection may be difficult, since the pipe outlets may abut against the stiffeners, aggregates and fittings of the bath, and the bath cannot be installed close to the walls. Structural changes in the arrangement of equipment and pipelines of the bath, cutting of mounting clamps, and so on are strictly prohibited.

The wiring of the room must have an individual differential switch 30mA, a magnetothermo 2.4-4A or another common connection (CEI-64-8) and installed in the common switchboard of the room. It is strictly forbidden to install the specified knife switch under the bathtub!

ATTENTION! Failure or incomplete fulfillment of the above requirements does not provide for the preservation of the warranty conditions for service or repair for such a bath.

BATH INSTALLATION

Install the bathtub on legs (Fig. 1) The manufacturer allows the legs to be equipped with an M12 bolt instead of the corresponding threaded studs. Equipment legs BUT(fig. 1) (2 pcs.) - are installed on the front (front) side of the bath, along the edges, on the left and right (for the bath " RIVIERA"- 4 pieces, all in front). Equipment legs B(Fig. 1) - other remaining front and rear legs. The legs are attached to the frame with the upper pair of M12 nuts, which also serve to adjust the height of the bathtub.

Install a drain-overflow device (Fig. 2), a siphon (may not be included in the kit) on the bathtub, and adjust the height of the bathtub. The distance from the floor level to the lowest point of the siphon must be at least 15 mm. Make sure the bathtub is adjusted and rests on all points of support.

Install the panel onto the bathtub by snapping it onto the top fixings (fig. 6 and 7). On some models of symmetrical and asymmetric bathtubs "BAS" it is possible to cut the panels along the length (no more than 2 cm per side). In addition, if you plan to install a side panel on your bathtub, then first install under it the top fasteners that come with the side panel in the kit. Adjust the verticality of the panel. The bottom of the panel should be adjacent to the plane of the corner, installed on the extreme legs. Depth of landing of a corner is regulated by the bottom pair of nuts M12. The corners must be equally adjusted to each other in height, and be symmetrical with respect to the panel.

Using a drill with a diameter of 3.5 mm (the size is indicated for a self-tapping screw 4.2x25 mm), drill through holes in the lower corners and the panel (Fig. 4 and 5).

Remove the panel from the bath and connect it to the sewerage and water supply systems (see Connecting the bath to the water supply and sewerage network), as well as to the 220 V electrical network (see Connecting the bath to the electrical network). After that, carefully push the bath firmly against the wall, and once again make sure that it is stable on all points of support, and all connections are made correctly.

6. Install the panel on the bath and fix its bottom into the drilled holes with a self-tapping screw with a press washer (Fig. 8).

7. Close the head of the self-tapping screw with a decorative cap (Fig. 9).

ATTENTION! TO AVOID MOISTURE GETTING OUT OF THE BATH, PRODUCE MANDATORY PROCESSING OF THE SEAMS WITH SANITARY SILICONE AROUND THE ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE BATH!

CONNECTING THE BATH TO THE WATER SUPPLY AND SEWER NETWORK

The connection of the bath to the water supply and sewerage network must be carried out by a qualified plumber.

The bath kit includes a semi-automatic drain device, which, after its installation on the bath, is connected to the sewer network permanently, through a flexible corrugated or rigid PVC pipe (not included in the kit). A sewer drain with a diameter of 40-50 mm is removed at the site of installation of the bath into the floor or wall, taking into account the linear dimensions of the bath. When the drain pipe drain is located in the wall, the optimal height is considered to be a distance of no more than 2 cm from the floor level to the lower edge of the pipe.

Connecting the bath to the water supply network if it is equipped with a mortise mixer. The pressure in the network should be 3-5 atm. At pressures above 5 atm., pressure reducers should be installed and adjusted to the specified standards.

Places for connection to the water supply system should be placed taking into account the linear dimensions of the bath and its units and equipped with taps that are disconnected from the main line. Connection to the system is carried out through a flexible plumbing connection (water hoses). The length of the hoses must allow the bathtub to be moved away from the walls, and the distance must not be less than 0.5 m. Recommended use of water filters. The absence of filters can lead to clogging of the whirlpool jets and the ingress of metal scale into the ceramic cartridge of the mixer, which will lead to their failure.

ATTENTION! Mortise mixers are completed with a set of flexible eyeliners of a standard sample. If the length of the flexible hose is not enough to connect to the system or connect between the elements of the mixer, then it is purchased separately, taking into account your dimensions for connection. The bathtub manufacturer is not responsible for the nature of the set of in-line faucets, for damage to the elements of the hydromassage system caused by their contamination when using unfiltered water containing rust, sand, chemically active impurities, as well as for breakdowns or incorrect operation of the bath equipment connected to the system. water supply with non-standard pressure in it.

Leave the tub unattended while filling it with water. Overfilling the bathtub with water can lead to failure of the air massage system, without preserving the warranty conditions for the operation of the product.

Rotate the drain-overflow cover around its axis or with a load on the bath plug.

CONNECTING THE BATH TO THE ELECTRIC NETWORK

The electrical equipment of the bath is powered from a single-phase alternating current network, in accordance with the table below.

Function Voltage, V Frequency, Hz Power, kWt*
Hydromassage 220/240 50 0,9-1,5
Air massage 220/240 50 0,7-0,9

*power is indicated depending on the bathtub model

The connection of the bath to the electrical network must be carried out by a qualified specialist with the 3rd and higher tolerance group. How to connect hot tubs to the network:

Yellow-green wire - "ground";

Brown wire - "phase";

Blue wire - "zero";

The bath must only be connected to a separate residual current circuit breaker (RCD) with a rating of 30 mA and located outside the bathroom.

It is allowed to connect the bathtub to a 220 V network. In this case, they are purchased separately and installed independently. Each unit of equipment intended for connection to the network must have an individual connection to the electrical network.

Connect the units together, in one plug, etc.

Use a bathtub with a socket or plug without a good grounding contact.

Ground the bath through heating, plumbing and sewer equipment.

Operating the bath with a damaged power cord, or with a faulty or unconnected ground.

Carry out technical work with the bath connected to the network.

HOW TO USE THE WHITE BATH

ATTENTION! Never turn on the hot tub until the water reaches a level 5-6 cm above the opening of the main whirlpool jets. Avoid high thermal impact (above 65 degrees Celsius) on the surface of the product - this can lead to its damage! It is forbidden to turn on the hydromassage function with closed jet nozzles. Before turning on the hydromassage system, make sure that the jet nozzles are not directed upwards and that the balance tap is not in the back massage (Shiatsu massage) position. During the operation of the hydromassage, it is forbidden to block the grate of the water intake valve, preventing the flow of water into it. After using the bath and draining the water, it is recommended to blow the air massage jets by turning on the air massage function for 1 minute.

Never use the bathroom after taking alcohol or medicine. Hydromassage for medicinal purposes can only be carried out on the advice of a doctor who will select the appropriate duration of sessions and water temperature for you.

Taking a cold bath strengthens your health, a warm or slightly hot bath relieves stress. To relax muscles and relieve pain, take a bath up to 40 degrees Celsius. The first hydromassage session, which should be carried out only in warm water, should last no more than 10 minutes.

The effect of water jet massage is directly proportional to the temperature of the water and the duration of the session. After taking a bath for too long, you may feel tired. And, if you feel sleepy while taking a bath, turn off the hydromassage device for a while and cool the water.

Overweight people are contraindicated in hot tubs with water temperatures exceeding 38 degrees Celsius.

BATH CARE

For daily bathing, use a liquid detergent that is harmless to acrylic and plastic surfaces (see cleaning agent instructions) and a soft cloth. The manufacturing company offers you a specialized cleaning agent "TIM-PROFI" adapted to our products. To maintain the shine of the bath, you can wipe it with a cloth with a polishing agent. To wash the bath, use only soft cloth napkins.

Deposits on the surface in the form of scale are removed with a soft cloth moistened with lemon juice or wine vinegar.

Surface scratches or burn marks from cigarettes can be removed by lightly sanding with fine sandpaper (#1000/2000) and water. You can restore the shine of the surface with a liquid polishing agent.

ATTENTION! Never use metal brushes or tools, solvents or detergents with abrasive additives to remove dirt from the surface of the hot tub. Also avoid contact with ammonia or chlorine on brass and chrome parts.

CLEANING THE BATH HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

This type of cleaning when using hard water (over 15 salt deposits per 1 cubic meter of water). In addition, it is recommended to clean the bath hydraulic system. Twice a year in the following way:

Fill the tub with hot water (40 degrees Celsius).

Pour in liquid detergent at the rate of 2 g per 1 liter of water and run the hydromassage system for about 5 minutes.

After that, turn off the hydraulic pump and drain the water from the bath.

Fill the tub again with cold water and turn on the hydromassage for 2 minutes.

Drain and wash the bath (see "Care of the bath").

SIMPLE FAULTS, CAUSES AND WAYS TO ELIMINATE THEM

Fault occurring Possible reason Remedy
Hydraulic pump does not turn on No voltage in the power circuit (mains 220 V) Call a specialist (electrician)
The hydromassage button (aeromassage, backlight, chromotherapy) does not turn on The plastic tube connecting the button and the electro-pneumatic valve jumped off the function enable button Attach the plastic tube to the base of the button and restart the system
Jet nozzles closed Turn counterclockwise to open the nozzles
Hydraulic pump works but no water comes out of jets The formation of an "air lock" in the hydromassage system Disconnect the bathtub from the 220V network, fill it with water and loosen (no more than 1 turn!) the upper nut of the hydraulic pump tee to bleed air from the system. After that, tighten the nut tightly and restart the system.
Increased vibration in the operation of the hydraulic pump Loose fastening of the engine to the metal frame of the bath Tighten the engine mounting bolts.

In the past few years, acrylic bathtubs have gained immense popularity among consumers, as their technical characteristics and appearance far exceed those of analogues from other materials. Their advantages include low weight, the ability to retain heat, ease of care, reasonable cost and much more. But the choice of acrylic baths is still a difficult task for most buyers, since such products are on the market in a huge range.

The rating of foreign and domestic manufacturers, as well as instructions for choosing quality products, will help you understand the features and parameters of bathtubs.

To choose the right acrylic sanitary ware, you need to know several important criteria that affect the quality and durability of the product.

Production material

Acrylic is a polymer composition that consists of several compounds (methacryls, polyesters). For the manufacture of sanitary ware, two of its varieties are used: ABS and PMMA. The first type is a two-component polymer, which is essentially an elastic plastic, and the second type is close to organic glass in its characteristics.

ABS is usually used to make the base of products, which is covered with a layer of PMMA on top. The result is a bathtub with a fairly thin layer of acrylic that can withstand about 5 years of operation. In addition, ABS has a high porosity and the ability to absorb water, due to which the baths quickly collapse.

PMMA is a more durable material with good technical characteristics. It is durable and aesthetically pleasing, but products made from 100% PMMA are more expensive than others.

It is possible to determine which type of material was used in the manufacture of the bathtub by its appearance.

Attention: a broken bath bowl made of low-quality acrylic can lead to serious consequences in the form of a flood among neighbors, therefore, special attention should be paid to assessing the quality of the material.

Reinforcement

Acrylic itself does not have sufficient strength, therefore, a reinforcing layer is applied to products that will be subjected to mechanical stress. For this, epoxy resins, fiberglass and polyurethane foam are used, which cover the bathtubs in layers from the outside (the more layers were applied to the surface, the greater the load the structure can withstand).

Reinforcing sanitary ware with polyurethane resins with the addition of fiberglass is cheaper, but a violation of the technology can cause the bath to emit a sharp chemical smell. Bathtubs reinforced with polyurethane foam are more expensive, but they are absolutely environmentally friendly and safe for humans.

Important: some manufacturers apply the reinforcing composition exclusively on the ends of the product - where the buyer can see them, while neglecting the processing of the rest of the surface.

Wall thickness and coating

The thickness of the walls of the bath is another characteristic on which the reliability and durability of the product depends. Good plumbing has a wall thickness in the range of 2 to 6.5 mm with a coating of at least 0.5-0.6 cm. In order to save money, you can purchase a product with thinner walls, but do not forget that their service life can be significantly reduced.

When pressing on the walls and bottom of the bowl, they should not spring or bend. Most sellers claim that a too thin layer of material is compensated by the reliability of the frame, but the durability and wear resistance of such products is highly questionable.

Dimensions and shape

The dimensions and shape of the products do not affect the quality, but the ease of use of plumbing depends on these criteria. From the point of view of ergonomics, the main parameters of the bath should look like this.

As for the shape, acrylic bathtubs can be either classic, rectangular, or angular, oval, etc. It should be noted that when buying non-standard products, special attention should be paid to quality, since the risk of deformation and mechanical damage in this case increases.

Overview of manufacturers of acrylic bathtubs

On the modern market, acrylic bathtubs are presented in a large assortment for every taste and budget, but it is better to give preference to manufacturers who have already gained a good reputation among consumers.

Foreign companies

If we talk about foreign manufacturers of plumbing, then the most popular are companies from the Czech Republic, Poland, Spain and Italy. They meet European quality standards, so they are durable and reliable, but they are more expensive than domestic counterparts.

Ravak

The products of the Czech company Ravak are considered the most popular in Europe. Bathtubs are made of high quality material using modern equipment and technologies. Products have a thick layer of acrylic, reinforced with fiberglass and covered with polyurethane, which significantly increases their reliability and durability. The company's product range includes bathtubs of different sizes and shapes, and some models are equipped with additional features: hydromassage, lighting, etc.

The disadvantages of Ravak plumbing include a rather large weight (about 20% heavier than products from other manufacturers), as well as the difficulty in selecting components and fasteners.

Vagnerplast

Another brand from the Czech Republic, which was the first in Europe to start producing acrylic sanitary ware. Today, many companies are guided by Vagnerplast products, as they meet all quality standards. Products have an ergonomic shape, special supports for legs and head and adjustable legs. The company produces both classic bathtubs and exclusive models equipped with a massage system and other options.

Roca

Roca bathtubs are made in Spain and are among the top three in terms of quality and durability. Products are made by injection molding using the extrusion method from high-quality acrylic. The thickness of their walls is 4-5 mm, which is slightly less than that of other European counterparts, but thanks to high-quality reinforcement and a rigid frame, they are practically not subject to wear and chipping. Buyers claim that immediately after installation, some models creak a little, but after a while the sound disappears.

Cersanit

Cersanit bathtubs are among the best in terms of price and quality. They are made in Poland from sheet acrylic 4 mm thick. Products have good technical and decorative characteristics (double reinforced bottom, rigid frame, smooth surface), and the company's range is constantly updated, so that any customer can easily choose a bath to his liking. The disadvantages of Cersanit products include the fact that thinner antibacterial acrylic is used for their manufacture, so the installation of a hydromassage system is excluded in this case.

Kolo

The Polish concern Kolo is another leader in the production of acrylic bathtubs in Europe. For the manufacture of sanitary ware, sheets of English acrylic with a thickness of 3-5 mm are used, which have high reliability and durability. The technology of forming products involves the addition of a special pigment to the material, so that the bathtubs can be polished and cleaned without fear of damage or scratches. The Kolo product range includes both classic rectangular and angular and asymmetric models. As is the case with Cersanit products, Kolo bathtubs are made of thin acrylic, so it is not possible to install hydromassage systems in them.

Riho

Riho is a Dutch company that offers a wide range of products including corner, round and even hexagonal bathtubs. The thickness of acrylic sheets that are used for the production of bathtubs is 6-8 mm, thanks to which the brand's sanitary ware is durable and wear-resistant. Particular attention in the manufacture of products is paid to their environmental friendliness and safety, so they have an antibacterial coating and a non-slip bottom. The most significant drawback of Riho bathtubs is the high cost, especially when it comes to non-standard products.

domestic producers

The cost of plumbing fixtures of domestic manufacturers is much lower than the price of their European counterparts, but this does not affect their quality at all. Modern products of Russian companies are made of high quality acrylic using innovative technologies and equipment, so they can be a good alternative to more expensive bathtubs.

aquanet

Acrylic bathtub Aquanet Fregate 120×120

Aquanet is a leading manufacturer of sanitary ware, which manufactures products according to recognized standards using equipment from Italy. Among domestic companies, the products of this brand are considered the most expensive, as they have quality certificates and provide a guarantee for all models. Aquanet bathtubs are made from 5 mm thick acrylic sheets, but thanks to a special reinforcement technology, the products are durable and reliable. The disadvantages of the brand include the use of a composite in the production process, which is why the first time after installation, the bath may emit a sharp chemical smell.

Bas

For the production of sanitary ware, the Bas brand also uses European equipment and materials, and in the process, the material is treated with infrared rays, which allows it to be given any shape. Reinforcement is made both with fiberglass with the addition of polymers, and with safer and more environmentally friendly polyurethane. Bas's product range includes a large number of models of different designs, including bathtubs equipped with air and hydromassage systems. The manufacturer provides a ten-year warranty for all products.

Aquatek

Aquatek bathtubs are made from 5mm acrylic sheets without any impurities and reinforced with fiberglass with polyester resin. In addition, they have a durable aluminum frame, which increases the reliability and durability of products. The advantages of the brand's products also include an attractive appearance and a pleasant to the touch surface, which makes hygiene procedures as comfortable as possible. The surface of the baths is easy to clean and is not subject to mechanical damage during operation. The weight of products is from 15 to 25 kg, which greatly facilitates the transportation and installation of plumbing.

Radomir

Radomir is one of the first companies to start producing acrylic bathtubs in Russia. The company's product range includes bathtubs of various shapes and sizes, including products designed for people with disabilities. The main attention in the production of sanitary ware is given to its safety and environmental friendliness, so Radomir products can be found in hospitals and sanatoriums. Bathtubs have a special coating that prevents the growth of bacteria, as well as the formation of fungus and mold on the surface of the material. Additionally, brand products can be equipped with hydromassage, lighting, touch screen and other options.

The 1Marka company has been operating in the domestic market for 15 years, the main production line is located in Kazan. The manufacturer specializes not only in acrylic bathtubs, but also in other sanitary ware. If desired, any consumer can order plumbing according to their own original sketches.

Triton

Bathtubs of the domestic brand Triton are made from Dutch and Austrian materials using advanced technologies and reinforced with high-strength fiberglass. To give products additional strength, special-shaped inserts are used, and plumbing is coated on top with a composition that protects it from bacteria and mechanical damage during operation. The Triton product range includes rectangular and corner baths, models with hydromassage, lighting and chromotherapy lamps.

BellRado

Bathtubs under the BellRado brand are manufactured in the Chelyabinsk region and have already gained popularity not only in Russia, but also in neighboring countries. The company's plumbing belongs to the economy class, but the quality is not inferior to well-known European products. It is developed taking into account consumer requirements and features of the domestic market. The company offers about 30 different models of bathtubs, including rectangular and asymmetric products, as well as bathtubs equipped with a hydromassage system.

The well-known company Bas has gained wide popularity due to the use of two modern technologies for reinforcing the surfaces of bathtubs. The first option is based on reinforcing the bass tub with polyester resin and special glass fiber. The second technology involves the use of absolutely safe, environmentally friendly high-density two-component polyurethane foam.

Modern bathtubs

Currently, the company's full lineup is represented by:

bass acrylic tubs;

curtains for them;

shower cubicles;

special shower enclosures.

30 modern models of Bas baths have classic rectangular, asymmetric and symmetrical forms of whitewashing from the ceiling. All products are manufactured in strict accordance with advanced Italian and American technologies using original equipment.

Any Bass bath is molded using special vacuum forming machines manufactured by the well-known Italian company SELF. During the operation of such equipment, infrared heating of certain zones is used. This method allows you to bend the base sheet into any desired shape.

Popular Bass Models

To date, the bass acrylic bathtub is the best option in terms of price-durability for many citizens of our country. The most famous models are considered to be all corner baths, frilly curved shapes that save space and ennoble the appearance of the room.

How to choose an acrylic bath? Let's dwell on three unique models that will satisfy any requirements of the most fastidious users:

Bass bath Laguna - the maximum volume of water up to the protective drain at the top is 295 liters. The depth of the side asymmetric model in the center is 44 cm, and the height of the screen itself is 55 cm. The electrical characteristics of this bath are V - 220/240. Electrical wiring for powering electronic components is made using an RCD. The standard package includes:

convenient removable legs for installation of a bathtub and a drain device.

In addition, this model is equipped with: a cascade, safety handles, special jets for a relaxing massage of the back and legs, a headrest, lighting and a pillow for the switch button.

Bass corner bathtub model

Bath Bas Alegra - this model has a smaller volume. Only 220 liters. But it fits perfectly into small bathrooms in "Khrushchev". The maximum center depth is 45 cm and the screen height is 56 cm. Please note: the power supply to all models is carried out through the RCD, so it is imperative to ground this device. Otherwise, the use of such a bath will be unsafe for humans.

Advantages of acrylic types of bathtubs

Recently Bass baths are gaining more and more popularity, but what are the main advantages of such devices?

Users and installers of plumbing accessories note a number of advantages of such baths.

Unlike steel and cast iron counterparts, Bass acrylic bathtubs are lightweight and have very high strength, which has been inaccessible to non-metal products for a long time.

Even unfilled with boiling water, they have a temperature that is pleasant for a person and does not allow the collected water to cool for a long time. This property is available through the use of acrylic, which has a very low thermal conductivity. On average, in 30 minutes the water will cool down by only one degree Celsius.

All such models of baths have ergonomic shapes, specially created close to the curves of the human body.

The acrylic surface is highly resistant to various mechanical damages: chips, deformations and scratches.

Acrylic is able to retain its original luster for many years and does not turn yellow, as happens with enamel counterparts. In addition, they practically do not slip, which makes their use safer for children and the elderly.

The surface of such baths is covered with a special antibacterial layer that prevents the development of various diseases and fungal deposits.

The water is collected quite quietly, which allows you to take a bath even at night, without fear of disturbing your family and neighbors.

Rectangular bath model

Tip: if you want to install a bathtub model with a hydromassage function, then first consider where the additional equipment is most optimally placed.

Conclusion

High environmental friendliness and ergonomics of all models allows you to install and use these devices for comfortable bathing of babies and young children. They are easy to fit into any interior, thanks to the variety of shapes and convenient installation method. The only thing you should not forget about is the mandatory grounding of such baths. Do not be lazy and risk your health, relying on luck.

Installation instructions for asymmetric bathtub bass allegro

Modern bathtubs are sophisticated plumbing fixtures to relax and unwind, decorate the bathroom and cheer up with just the look. The Russian company BAS manufactures its products using modern Italian equipment from imported acrylic sheets, with mixers, nozzles, shower pipes of well-known European brands.

It turns out that BAS acrylic bathtubs are completely made of imported components, but they are shaped at a factory in Russia.

The central office of BAS is located in the capital; there are also representative offices and warehouses in Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk. The company manufactures acrylic whirlpool bathtubs, shower enclosures and corners, bathtub headrests, and other bathroom accessories. These products are represented by dozens of dealers in various CIS countries and beyond.

Most often, BAS acrylic bathtubs are installed not on the basis of meeting any requirements for functionality or appearance, but based on the available space in the room. For the convenience of size selection, more than two dozen models have been developed: rectangular, corner baths with a semicircular or flat front panel.

The corner semicircular bath "Alegra" has dimensions of 150x90 cm and a height of 52 cm. It is installed on a metal frame, equipped with 6 hydromassage jets. Somewhat smaller in size, but the same area of the bathing bowl itself, the bathtub "Verona" manual milling machine for wood video. In size (150x70 cm), it fits perfectly into the place of old cast-iron baths, which have already served their purpose. This model is also equipped with a drain-overflow system, has a bottom design that dampens noise and vibration from water falling on it.

The bathtub "Imperial" can accommodate 2 people, despite the fact that it has dimensions of only 150x150 cm and a standard depth of 47 cm. The model is also equipped with 6 hydromassage jets. They are located in such a way that a person, leaning on any of the three protrusions for the back, receives a pleasant hydromassage with jets of water and air. The angular model "Iris" has a similar design, only it is equipped with 9 nozzles, which increases the possibilities and intensity of hydromassage. Bath "Laguna" also has 9 nozzles, but it is designed for installation dimensions of 170x110 cm. There is a clearly marked seating area if you are not taking a bath, but simply taking a shower.

To avoid splashing water throughout the room, BAS bath screens are installed, which are plastic enclosing dampers. They can be moved and closed if necessary. On the front arc of almost all models, a ledge is provided for mounting such curtains.

Corner models, such as Vectra, Sagra, Florida, are made both in left and right versions, so as not to interfere with the owners' plans for decorating the rest of the bathroom. Hydromassage in rectangular baths, like "Jamaica", "Malta" or "Atlanta", relaxes no less, but have a simpler design.

On a stand in a plumbing store or in a photo in an online store, an acrylic bathtub, as a rule, appears assembled. Meanwhile, products manufactured by Aquanet arrive in the regions in a disassembled state, and chain stores often supply them in the form of a kind of “Assemble it yourself” constructor. As a result, the question arises of how an acrylic bathtub is installed. .

Task one. How to assemble an acrylic bath frame

Acrylic bathtubs ordered in the Aquanet online store are delivered to the customer with an assembled frame. It remains to install it, if necessary, fix it against the wall using fasteners. Isolate the junction of the bathtub with the wall using a special self-adhesive plinth or a plastic corner, which is attached to sanitary silicone. If the faucet is already installed, you can immediately use the bathroom. To help those to whom the bath came in a disassembled state, that is, the bowl is separate from the frame, instructions are given. And here you already need to apply your abilities as a home master.

To facilitate the task of assembling the frame, the most win-win way to quickly and efficiently install an acrylic bathtub is to contact the service department. At Aquanet, this also automatically doubles the equipment warranty. By the way, service specialists can also help if the bath has arrived at its destination with an already assembled frame. In this case, the craftsmen will level the product, connect the overflow, install, if necessary, the front panel, and seal the joints. That is, they will prepare a turnkey bath, taking into account all the nuances, since they perfectly know the specifics of each model. The operation of an acrylic bath in this case is possible immediately after the departure of the service masters.

If you decide to assemble the frame yourself, then you should keep in mind that the frames are individual for different models of acrylic bathtubs. Moreover, the frame designs are different not only for asymmetric or angular products with an individual shape, but also for rectangular ones. Therefore, for the installation of each model of acrylic bath, a guide has been developed that will help you understand the intricacies of the assembly. It is included with every product purchased from Aquanet.

However, there is a general procedure, unified for all models. For example, let's take a look at step by step how to assemble the frame of a corner acrylic bathtub .

Step 1. Turn the tub upside down and place it on a flat surface that will not damage or scratch the tub. At the corners of the tub, measure a distance of 40 mm from each side to determine the position of the center of the upright.

Step 2 Screw the racks into the MDF mortgages located in the corners of the bathtub, using two 3.5 * 16 self-tapping screws in each rack.

Step 3 Place the frame on the bottom of the bath so that it does not protrude beyond the dimensions of the bath, and connect it to three vertical posts with a bolt and M10 nut through holes with a diameter of 13 mm.

Step 4 Screw the frame with self-tapping screws 3.5x40 to the mortgage on the bottom of the bath in five places.

Step 5 In mortgages from MDF, which are located along the perimeter on the front side, screw the corners to stop the front panel.

Step 6 Insert supports (flags) for fixing the front panel into holes with a diameter of 13 mm on the uprights and fix with M10 lock nuts.

Step 7 Insert plastic plugs 25x25 into the open parts of the profile pipe.

Step 8 Install the legs into the holes on the frame with a diameter of 13 mm and fix them with nuts. Adjust the legs using a level. The leg height must be 640 mm.

Step 9 Install the front panel between the corners and the edge of the bathtub so that there is a 90 degree angle between the panel and the bathtub. At the same distance from the side of the bath, it is required to drill holes in the panel with a diameter of 8 mm opposite the flags.

Step 10 Screw the panel with self-tapping screws 3.5x40, then screw the decorative part of the plug.

Attention! According to SNiP (Building Norms and Rules), the height of the acrylic bathtub from the floor to the top of the bathtub should be 60 centimeters. If the bathroom is used by children, the disabled and the elderly, then this figure is less - 50 cm.

Task two. How to install an acrylic bathtub with legs

Budget models of baths, as a rule, are installed on the so-called eco-legs, and not on the frame. They come with a bathroom. You need to install them yourself. Instructions are included with each model. But let's take a look at all the nuances of installing a bath on legs together:

Step 1. On the M12 studs L = 200 mm, screw M12 nuts (locknuts) on both sides at a distance of 3-4 cm. Then, on one side, screw the M12 legs of black plastic and fix them with locknuts.

Step 2 Lay the tub upside down on a clean, flat surface. Measure the protruding part of the bathtub and mark the middle.

Step 3 Place the first load-bearing profile of the frame at the bottom of the bath, stepping back from the edge of the mortgage 50 mm. Connect the middle of the carrier profile with the middle of the mortgage and fasten it in four places with self-tapping screws 4.0 * 20, as in rice. one.

Step 4 On the drain side, measure 10 mm and install the second carrier profile

Connect the middle of the profile with the middle of the mortgage and fasten in four places with self-tapping screws 4.0 * 20.

Step 5 Install the legs into the holes with a diameter of 13 mm of the carrier profile. From the side where the front panel will be installed, install the fastening box with an M12 washer and an M12 nut. On the other hand, install the legs and fix with an M12 nut, as in rice. 2.

Step 6 Adjust the legs for height. The recommended leg height is 160 mm from the frame.

Attention! When installing the bath, the front panel, if already installed, must be removed. It must be attached to the product last.

Task three. How to fix an acrylic bath

Perhaps the easiest of the tasks. With a reliable frame for installing a bath, it is usually not attached to the wall. But for inner peace, and especially if you put the bath on eco-legs, it is better to provide a secure mount. To do this, you need to take a number of actions.

Step 1. Measure the height from the floor to the edge of the edge of the bathtub and mark the places where the corners are attached (see fig. rice. 3).

Step 2 With a drill with a diameter of 6 mm, make holes in the marked places and install the dowels where the fastening corners should be screwed.

Attention! The bath should not hang on the corners of the fixture. To prevent this, you can adjust the height of the bath with legs.

Task four. How to install the front panel

If you do not sheathe the bath with drywall and do not plan to mount it in the podium, then it is best to close the front with a front panel.

Step 1. For the upper fastening of the front panel (if it is provided), screw the mounting brackets (4 pieces) with 4 * 16 self-tapping screws into the inserts located along the perimeter from the front side of the bath. When installing the mounting bracket, provide a distance to the edge of the bath, which is equal to the thickness of the front panel.

Step 2 Screw the M10 nut onto the front panel fastening flags (M10 stud with a welded perforated plate). Insert into the holes of the corners of the frame and fix so that when installing the panel there is an angle of 90 degrees between the panel and the edge of the bath.

Step 3 Position the front panel between the mounting brackets and the front of the bath rim. Align panel. Drill two 8 mm holes at the level of the flags and at the same distance from the edge of the front panel. Screw the front panel with 4 * 16 self-tapping screws with the threaded part of the plug to the fastening flags and screw on the decorative part of the plug.

Attention! If you ordered a model with hydromassage equipment, then you need to take care to make acrylic bath grounding.
