For the World of Tanks project, a unique font, Wargaming Helios Condensed, or WarHeliosCond for short, has been created. It is a straightforward, austere typeface from the Helvetica family, which is associated with both historical "military" and modern computer fonts. The outlines of the project name (Wordmark) and the corporate font are as close as possible. As a result, the use of a corporate font is mandatory for all project materials. The branded typeface consists only of straight variants of the typefaces. The use of italic variations is prohibited.

The choice of text effects plays an important role in the positioning of the corporate identity, since the font reflects the character of the brand, conveys the mood and tone of its communications. The list of possible changes to the World of Tanks interface would not be complete without a mod for changing fonts. Text is the second most important way of transmitting information in the game, which is an important part of the interface and therefore must be changed to suit your taste and convenience.
You can change the text size and font of World of Tanks just for beauty, if, for example, you are a designer and are used to paying great attention to the appearance of the text. In this case, you can choose the most appropriate font for each lettering class to make the game look like a carefully edited picture book.
This mod will be especially useful for visually impaired players, which is not uncommon in our time among all age groups - many hours of online in front of monitors bear fruit. The mod for changing the World of Tanks fonts will save you from the need to use glasses during the game or strain your eyes to look at too small inscriptions. Resize the text by editing the appropriate parameters in the mod's configuration file and you will forget about the inconvenience associated with reading.
Also, by trial and error, you can try to choose the most pleasing to the eye font among those installed on your gaming computer.
Setting up fonts using this mod is intuitive. You need to open the fontconfig.xml file in any text editor. There you will see 8 groups of parameters, some of which the mod author has provided with comments. The scaleFactor parameter sets the font size relative to the "default" value. The runtime parameter is responsible for the font used to display the text of this group. Here you can register any font installed on your system. Make sure the font you choose supports Russian letters, otherwise the text will become unreadable.
With this mod, you can customize individual sizes and fonts for the following groups of labels:
- The main buttons are "To battle," Achievements, "Shop", etc.
- Descriptions of the skills of the crew, modules and equipment of tanks.
- Fonts in chats
- Tank names in hangar and in battle
- Player nicknames
Please note: the mod affects only the "native" inscriptions of World of Tanks. Sizes and fonts used by other mods to display text must be configured separately by editing the configuration of the corresponding mods.
Installation is performed as follows:
- Unpack the archive with the mod
- Move the files to the res_mods folder for your version of the game
- Modify your fontconfig.xml file
- Run the game and evaluate the changes made

The first thing we need to do is open the archive with the mod or the scope and copy the font file (has the extension .ttf) to any folder you created on the disk C: \\, in the manual it will be named as "Font installation folder"
Then click the Start button in the lower left corner of the screen and select the Control Panel item
After opening a window will appear with many shortcuts, we need a shortcut Fonts
In the window that appears in the upper left corner, click on File
And select the menu item "Install fonts"
A window for installing fonts will appear and in it we see, in the lower left column, item c: \\ do a double click on it
Then we select the folder with fonts we need and click on the Ok button
The name of your font or fonts will appear in the upper left column, if there are a lot of them in the folder, select one or more fonts and click OK
