If you decide to adorn the most protruding part of your face with a beautiful gold or silver earring, then before getting a nose piercing, learn about the necessary preparation, wound care, treatment and other issues associated with a piercing. The procedure should be taken seriously in order to avoid unsuccessful attempts and not harm your body with such an intervention.

How to pierce the nose

The tradition of decorating the nose with earrings in our country appeared not too long ago. The rebellious youth was the first to undertake such an experiment with their appearance. Today, this type of piercing is actively used by girls and guys. If you decide to decorate the most protruding part of your face with an earring, then it remains to decide on its type and the place where the nose will be pierced. There are several ways to pierce the nose: in the wing, septum, on the bridge of the nose.

Nose wing piercing

One of the most common ways to decorate your face is to pierce the wing of your nose. It is considered safe and can be performed on the left, right, or both nostrils. Healing with proper treatment takes from 4 to 6 weeks. Sometimes a hole is made on the side at the highest point of the wing. This option is painful and poorly healing. For decoration with such a puncture, you can use only a small earring, for example, a carnation.

Septum piercing

When a puncture is made in the nasal septum, the piercing is called a septum. It is often carried out through the tissues under the cartilage or through the cartilage itself. Pain may only last for a moment, so a septum piercing does not require the use of pain medication. With proper wound care, it heals in 6-8 weeks. The decoration of the septum are rings, rods and half rings.

Septril

When the septum is pierced vertically downwards, the puncture is called a septril. The procedure requires great experience of the master and caution, since during a puncture, a cartilaginous septum can be hooked. Such a mistake will significantly slow down the wound healing process and increase the risk of complications. Septril piercing is characterized by pain. A barbell is often used to decorate a puncture.

bridge piercing

Translated from English, bridge means "bridge". The bridge is pierced on the bridge of the nose, in its upper part. At eye level, a puncture is made through the soft tissues, while the cartilage is not affected. You can make a bridge horizontally and vertically. This type of piercing is referred to as an extreme piercing. Of the decorations in this place, it is appropriate to use a barbell.

Nose piercing with a gun

You can reduce the likelihood of an inflammatory process, negative consequences and complications, and make the procedure as painless as possible if you pierce your nose with a gun. According to reviews, to pierce the nose of a man or woman using such equipment, the master will need only a few seconds. At the same time, you can not worry that dust or contamination will get into the wound, because the use of the tool guarantees sterility. Sometimes the use of a gun is not suitable due to the large thickness of the puncture site.

How to pierce your nose at home

In beauty salons or offices, nose piercing will be done painlessly, without the risk of subsequent infection. If professional services seem too expensive for you, you are not afraid of bacteria, bleeding and inflammation, then you can try to pierce your nose at home. Particular attention should be paid to the rules of hygiene and act according to the following instructions:

  1. First you need to buy a nose piercing. Jewelry is sold by jewelry and souvenir shops in Moscow and other cities, tattoo parlors or online stores. It is better to choose small-sized products made of titanium, polycarbonate or stainless steel. If an allergic rash appears after the puncture, then remove the jewelry and consult a dermatologist.
  2. The skin around the piercing should be free of blackheads, pimples, or acne. For any inflammation, set aside your goal. Inflammatory processes in the paranasal sinuses, poor blood clotting are also a contraindication to the procedure.
  3. Piercing is best done with a special new needle that matches the diameter of the size of the jewelry. It is perfectly acceptable to use an ordinary sewing needle, earring, catheter or safety pin, if the tool at hand is thoroughly disinfected and thoroughly processed.
  4. Sterilize all tools and jewelry. To do this, dip them in alcohol, and then boil them. Put the prepared tools on a clean towel. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and put on sterile gloves.
  5. Draw a dot with a marker at the place where you plan to make a puncture.
  6. Clean the area of skin with alcohol. An ice pack can be used for pain relief. As it cools, the skin will become less sensitive, but firmer and harder to puncture.
  7. Insert the needle perpendicular to the skin surface at the marked location. Act in one motion, if you have a clamp, use it.
  8. Insert the earring as soon as possible before the wound begins to heal.
  9. Until the wound heals, give up smoking, alcohol, hormonal drugs and aspirin. Carefully take care of the wound: wash the piercing with chlorhexidine or miramistin liquids on both sides, apply Levomekol. Do not use cosmetic vaseline.
  10. If after 10 days the inflammation has not gone away, the redness does not go away, the crusts continue to appear, the discharge is yellow or green, then the piercing must be removed. It is better to pull out the earring on the exhale so that it does not get into the lungs with air.

Where to pierce your nose

You can express your individuality and emphasize the brightness of your appearance with the help of various nose piercings. Where to pierce your nose is a purely individual decision. Jewelry can be parallel to the lips or perpendicular to their line. Modern techniques allow you to make holes for jewelry in the following ways:

  • piercing only the skin;
  • punching skin and cartilage;
  • piercing the entire wall of the nose or both nostrils.

Nose earrings

When choosing jewelry, you should focus on the location of the channel. If the nostril piercing is made high, then the earring in the nose cannot be in the form of a ring, only a carnation will do here. Rings and crossbars are suitable for a puncture in the center of the nose. For the wings of the nose, nostrils, labrets or tunnels are used, for the septum - half rings, rings, bananas, rods.

To prevent a pierced nose from becoming inflamed, you should carefully choose the material from which the product will be made. Piercers recommend using surgical alloy, titanium, or bioplast. After the channel has healed, the earring can be changed to silver, gold, platinum and even wooden. Products are sold with different clasps, the nose ring can be decorated with both diamonds and ordinary glass.

nose piercing price

If you decide to make a nose piercing, then contact a specialized salon. Read reviews about it, sign up for a consultation to check the cleanliness and conditions for the procedure. The cost of a piercing often depends on the package of services provided (medicines, jewelry, work of a master, preparation). How much it costs to pierce your nose in Moscow depends on the salon, the professionalism of the master, the complexity of the work and other nuances:

nose piercing photo

) piercing on my face, namely the piercing of the wing of the nose. According to the account, it was my fifth piercing: after the standard piercings of the lobes and the piercing of the cartilage of the ear.

What to think about beforehand

So, this was my first facial piercing. All the punctures that I had by that moment could easily be hidden with hair if necessary, but you can’t hide your nose. And this was the first thing I had to realize and accept when I nevertheless decided to pierce the wing of the nose. In addition, if I decided in the future to remove the jewelry and stop wearing it (and it happened), I needed to understand that no one could give me guarantees that the puncture would heal completely without leaving an ugly scar (as sometimes it happens). However, I still decided that these two points did not scare me so much.

I have already written in great detail about the choice of a studio and a master in reviews about nipple and septum piercing, but briefly, let's go over the main points again. So, when choosing a master:

    it is necessary that the master you contact be qualified and work in a specialized studio, and not at home, and be a piercer, not a cosmetologist or honey. an employee;

    it is best to get acquainted with the master personally, attend consultations and ask all your questions;

    Feel free to ask questions, especially regarding hygiene and sterilization, if necessary, the master will tell and show you everything, there is nothing strange in this.

When choosing jewelry:

    as a rule, titanium jewelry with the simplest design that will not interfere with healing is selected for the primary puncture;

    jewelry made of precious metals is not recommended to be placed in a fresh puncture; in particular, silver is poorly suited as the main material for piercing jewelry, as it can be allergenic and oxidize.

    what actually is “surgical steel” is clear only to its manufacturer, so it is also highly discouraged to use it.

    regarding the diameter of jewelry and their length, you should consult with the master in advance (perhaps the master will offer you jewelry from those available in the studio), you should not buy jewelry at your own peril and risk without agreement with the piercer. Typically, the decoration (labret) in the wing of the nose has a diameter of 1.2 mm and a length of about 8 mm in case of possible swelling. It is not recommended to put rings or snails in a fresh puncture.

A small digression: yes, as a rule, the diameter of the decoration for the wing of the nose is 1.2 mm, however, at my request, I was given 1 mm, based on the fact that if I wanted to remove the decoration, the scar would heal faster.

So, I've been going to the same studio with the same master for a long time, and this case was no exception. With my master, we discussed in advance all the details, features of healing and care, and now the day X has come. I (more or less)

slept, ate. Drinking too much coffee and strong tea on the day of the procedure is not recommended, drinking alcohol before the procedure is prohibited.

However, I can’t live without coffee at all, so I still had a cup of coffee (perhaps it was my mistake, but more on that later).

Was it scary?

Very. Do I think this fear is justified now? No, not that much. I gathered my courage for a very long time, probably half an hour. The master either brought the catheter to my nose, then removed her hand again after my requests “A few more seconds, just a few seconds, and let's start!” (and yes, I was already 22 years old then)))

How a puncture is performed

We made markings, the master put a mark of the future puncture on the wing of my nose so that I could choose the place I like best (yes, there are accommodation options). The puncture is performed without anesthesia. During a puncture, a metal tube is inserted into your nostril so that the catheter enters it during the puncture, in other words, so that later its edge does not stick to you somewhere else, since the puncture is performed at an angle. When the catheter (read hollow sharp tube) is already in your puncture, a piece of jewelry is inserted into its upper non-sharp end, so it is inserted into the puncture when the catheter comes out.

Feelings during

Pain, of course, is present during the puncture. But it is rather a dull sharp pain that is felt for only a few seconds. Try to pinch yourself on the wing of your nose and imagine that it is something similar, just a little stronger. In any case, you can endure. And even when the wing of the nose is punctured (as in the case of the septum), almost everyone has tears, but not from pain, but from the anatomy, in other words). As I said above, I drank coffee that day clearly in vain, because, yes, it was, and it flowed quite strongly (not like a fountain, but nonetheless).

Feelings after

I must admit, I had a slight premonition that I was starting to get a little sick the day before the piercing, but I really didn’t want to postpone the session (although I should have!!), so in the evening after the piercing, my condition worsened. I had a fever, albeit not high, and I felt very overwhelmed. In fairness, it is worth saying that this is a normal phenomenon, and any person’s well-being can worsen after any piercing: after all, piercing is always a small, but surgical intervention, which means stress for the body.

About healing

Miramistin and Octenisept are best suited for caring for a fresh puncture (the latter, however, is not very good for mucous membranes, it can burn). The puncture should be thoroughly rinsed for several more weeks, three to four times a day, while NOT scrolling the jewelry in the canal. The more the jewelry moves in a fresh puncture, the more difficult it will be for the body to form a channel in the puncture. In general, the principle of care is similar to how it is usually necessary to care for a piercing, I wrote about this in great detail here.

Complications

Pah-pah, my pierced wing of the nose healed without much incident. However, sometimes peculiar “knobs” (like balls around jewelry) can form around such punctures. This happens when something gets into a healed puncture, but I easily coped with this with the help of Synthomycin (I lubricated the area around the puncture, left it for twenty minutes, then washed it off: such creamy textures should not be left on punctures for a long time, since creams - the best breeding ground for bacteria.

About loss of smell and strabismus

NOTHING LIKE IT HAPPENED. Yes ))
The puncture did not affect the sense of smell in any way, I did not mow after its appearance. Yes, I could notice the decoration on the side of my nose out of the corner of my eye if I looked down, but it was not distracting or annoying in any way.

About scars after removal

It so happened that one day, when I was spending the night with my sister, I did not notice how the decoration in my nose unwound, and I lost the wrapping from the labret (and this was not the first time this happened to me). In the end, since there was nothing else at hand), I decided to just remove the loose labret. Here is a photo of the hole in the evening when I took off the jewelry.

I've been walking for about a month and a half without decoration, and now the trail looks like this.

All in all, I have no regrets about doing this. It's up to you to do it or not, but personally I like it in every way)

The word piercing literally means "to pierce". Today, not only ears are “pierced”, piercing has become widespread throughout the body. Why and why they do it, no one will give an intelligible answer. If in the past, piercing carried some meaning and significance, now, most likely, it is just a tribute to fashion. In some eastern countries, nose piercing is still an obligatory attribute of culture and tradition.

With us, among the Slavic peoples, the fashion for such a type of jewelry as nose piercing came relatively recently. Probably, the first such piercings were made by young people as a sign of disagreement with the rules of the adult world.

Today, nose piercing is the most popular among other types of piercing. First of all, they pierce their nose for the sake of decoration, the desire to stand out and keep up with their peers.

For girls, nose wing piercing is in the first place in popularity. Probably because of the simplicity of its execution. A puncture of the wing of the nose is made and a decoration in the form of a special screw is inserted. From the outside, the decoration often looks like a metal ball or pebble, from the inside - a hook for better fixation. You can also use studs, rings, horseshoes, or microlabrets to perform a primary wing piercing. Healing here of the puncture occurs quite quickly - from two weeks to a month. The formation of the channel itself takes longer. All that is required of you is careful and meticulous care of the puncture.

How to make a nose wing piercing at home, at home? Care. Consequences and Contraindications.

This type of nose piercing, if desired, can be done at home. Of course, if you are extreme and are not afraid of any consequences. Of course there is a risk, but not very big. there are few blood vessels on the wings of the nose. Prepare everything you need in advance: cotton wool, alcohol or other antiseptic, gloves, of course, the pier itself and a piercing needle. It is best to take a system in a pharmacy, just so that it matches the earring in diameter. Everything must be sterile and disinfected before the procedure. Like in a surgery room. The piercing procedure itself is simple: we lubricate the puncture site with an antiseptic, wrap the nostril as much as possible, so that then the fastener is inside and along the wall. We bring the needle to the inside and quickly pierce. We insert the jewelry into the catheter and carefully pull out the catheter. Everything, an earring or whatever you chose there, is in place. Now we thoroughly and abundantly wash everything and check that everything is screwed as it should be, so that one day we won’t inhale the clasp along with the scent of perfume.

Nose piercing care.

Further care, as usual, is treated with an antiseptic twice a day. Even from a medical point of view, a nose piercing is technically easy. However, no one is immune from possible complications. Whether you make it at home or in a salon. Each person has their own anatomical features. There are contraindications in which piercing is not desirable.

Piercing is a kind of trauma for the psyche, so people with epilepsy and mental disorders are the first on the list of contraindications. Piercing is not recommended for women during the premenstrual period and during pregnancy.

Nose piercing. Consequences. Contraindications. Recommendations.

Piercing is contraindicated if there is a predisposition to keloid formations at the wound site. This refers to the formation around or near the decoration of the skin tissue in the form of "beads" or "hoops". It is almost impossible to identify this predisposition immediately. Treatment of keloid scars is also problematic.

You can not do piercing in case of any pathologies of the blood or diseases that affect the blood or its clotting. This includes hepatitis, diabetes, and leukemia. Another reason to refuse piercing is an allergy to metals. In this case, you can try to put jewelry made of high-grade gold or titanium.

Congenital diseases of the heart, kidneys, bronchial asthma, as well as sinusitis and various skin diseases are dangerous. The shock from a piercing can cause heart muscle spasm and trigger an asthma attack. The most common complications after a piercing are swelling and local infection. The most terrible infection, which can lead to an abscess or even blood poisoning. In case of infection, you should immediately find the cause and start making antiseptic compresses: - twice a day for 5 minutes, apply a swab with an antiseptic to the wound from the inside and outside. Antiseptic ointments work well, such as levomekol or tetracycline ointment.

Almost always, lymph is released from the wound, which is not at all a symptom of infection or rejection of the pier. Lymph should be cleaned periodically with a cotton swab dipped in saline or hydrogen peroxide. Seek medical attention if redness or discharge of clear fluid occurs. It is not recommended to remove jewelry until it is completely healed, as it is possible for infection to enter the canal. During the first week, the decoration must be periodically moved in the resulting channel. At the same time, the period is not recommended to apply cream and powder on the face, swim in open water, do not visit the steam bath and sauna. In order not to lose your jewelry, be careful during a runny nose.

There are other types of nose piercings. For example, a puncture of the septum or otherwise the nasal septum. It is considered the most painful of all facial piercings. Anesthesia does not help in this case, because the cartilaginous septum is not completely frozen. Such a nose piercing is technically more difficult and should not be done at home. When piercing the spetum, jewelry in the form of horseshoes and rings is more often used.

Non-traditional types of nose piercing:

Bridge - piercing in the area of the bridge of the nose. Horizontal and vertical punctures differ. A rod is taken as a decoration;

Puncture of the tip of the nose - the upper part of the nostril is pierced from the inside towards the tip of the nose;

Austin Bar - piercing the tip of the nose horizontally. With this puncture, the cartilaginous septum is not touched;

Septril - the underside of the tip of the nose is pierced. It is made in the center through a wider septum puncture towards the lower nasal prominence.

In addition to the listed types of nose piercing, there are various combinations of them.

Decided to get your nose pierced? Are you already choosing an earring online and a salon where you can carry out this procedure? Take a break from your search for five minutes and once again weigh the pros and cons. So, what should you take into account if you decide to get a nose piercing?

First, you need to read the list of contraindications. Most often they are temporary: for example, it is worth refusing to pierce the nose during menstruation, pregnancy, at elevated temperatures, acute diseases (including colds), when taking pills that thin the blood. It is also better to forget about decorating your nose if you have poor blood clotting, an allergy to metals.

Prepare for the pain of the procedure. As you know, beauty requires sacrifice - and if you decide on such a procedure, then it looks attractive to you, but keep in mind: it will hurt. In general, the nose is pierced in three places - on the side of the wing of the nose, the cartilaginous septum between the nostrils or the bridge of the nose. The most popular and least painful is the puncture of one of the wings of the nose, the most shocking and, perhaps, the average in terms of pain is the puncture of the cartilaginous septum, the most painful is the puncture of the bridge of the nose.

Choose salon. Moreover, it is the salon - do not try to make a puncture yourself and do not contact home-grown craftsmen working in their own apartment. In the salon, the master will use sterile instruments, explain in detail the rules for caring for a puncture and answer all questions.

Know how a puncture goes. For this procedure, the gun used to pierce the ears is not suitable - great accuracy is needed here.

A sterile needle is used to pierce the nose. To do this, the nose is fixed with special clips so that the round hole is just in the right place for the puncture. The needle passes through the hole in the clamp. A plug is first inserted into the nostril so that the needle, when passing one of the wings of the nose, does not touch the inner surface or the cartilaginous septum from the inside. Immediately after the piercing, the master will insert the earring.

Choose an earring. As a rule, salons provide a large selection of earrings for nose piercing - in this case, it is included in the price of the piercing service. It is allowed to come to some salons with your own earring, then the piercing service itself will cost you a little cheaper. What should be the earring? To pierce one of the wings of the nose, you need a screw earring made of titanium or surgical steel. If you want to show off with an earring made of precious metals, with an original earring made of wood or plastic, wait for the puncture site to heal completely, after making sure that you are not allergic to the chosen material. By the way, do not forget to ask the master how the earring should be fixed inside the nostril. As a rule, a screw earring has a small hook that improves fixation. Keep in mind that you should fasten the earring in the nostril while exhaling - if you do this while inhaling, the earring risks being in the airways instead of the destination.

Learn how to properly care for a piercing. As a rule, wound healing takes about 2 weeks, during which it will be necessary to wipe the puncture site twice a day with an antiseptic solution and scroll the earring along its axis so that it does not dry out to the wound. It is forbidden to remove or change the earring until the wound is completely healed. Also, until complete healing, swimming in the river, visiting the pool, baths and saunas, as well as sleeping with your nose in the pillow are contraindicated.

Find out when to see a doctor. You should visit a dermatologist if the wound begins to fester, itching, burning, swelling or soreness and redness of the skin around the puncture appear. Perhaps the matter is in improper or insufficient care, or perhaps this is how you have an allergy.

Many people in the world are so eager to stand out from the crowd that the regulars invent new methods of how to do it. However, speaking of piercing, you need to know that it has existed for a very long time and even primitive people made piercings in their ears, lips or even in their nose, and not only for beauty, but to show their courage and endurance, to prove something to the ancient gods of the elements. and events. Today, such punctures no longer surprise anyone, and if you have firmly decided that you simply need it, like air, you should understand that a piercing in the nose and the consequences can have a variety. So it's worth considering seeing a specialist rather than trying to do everything yourself.

The expediency of a puncture: what does a piercing in a girl’s nose mean and how to prepare for it

Always emphasize your own beauty, stand out from the gray mass, express yourself the way you want, these are the main reasons for a nose piercing that modern girls and women call, and guys also keep up with them in pursuit of originality and originality. Today, nose piercing is at the peak of popularity, but it is not the latest invention, but has been known and successfully practiced for many centuries, for example, among Indian women, where everything, no matter what is done, matters. But even before that, on the hot shores of Africa, members of tribes and communities proved their masculinity with the help of such punctures.

Initially, the tradition of making a puncture in the nose and inserting an earring into it came to America, and then to other parts of the world from India, where it was brought by hippies. Imbued with culture, they wanted to be like those whose life, views and ideals they liked so much. In fact, piercings were done by Indian girls and guys, they inserted an earring ring into the hole to demonstrate that they were busy or married. Today, no one puts such a meaning into a puncture, however, it is worth knowing such information for general education.

Interesting

Modern young people are not even interested in the name of a nose piercing before they do it, meanwhile, there are several types of such piercings, and each of them has its own name, which will not hurt to find out if you are going to take such a step. In addition, you need to know that the first earring for the nose cannot be either platinum, or gold, or, moreover, silver. Exclusively medical steel and nothing more.

Restrictions and contraindications

It should be understood that despite the seeming simplicity and accessibility of such a puncture, nose piercing can cause quite unpleasant consequences, which we will talk about a little later. In the meantime, it is worth discussing what steps should be taken to avoid such consequences. In fact, everything is quite simple, it is worth taking the time to the issue so as not to regret later, because with an incorrect puncture or subsequent care, it is quite possible that surgical medical care will be required.

  • Before deciding on such a puncture, make sure that you do not have diseases of the heart and cardiovascular system, inflammatory processes in the body and fever.
  • You should not do a nose piercing if any chronic disease is in the acute stage.
  • Before the puncture for a week, you can not drink oral contraceptives, as well as other hormonal drugs.
  • You should consult with your doctor about the use of tablets before and after piercing, especially those that affect blood clotting. For example, aspirin in such cases is strictly contraindicated.
  • A day before the puncture, you should not drink coffee and strong tea, limit smoking, completely give up alcohol, whether it be a sip of wine or a glass of beer.

Types and types of nose piercing: how to do nose piercing and not only

It would seem that everyone knows what a puncture is, but not everyone can answer what a nose piercing is called. The thing is that there are several types and types of punctures that differ in their location, and, therefore, the names are different. First of all, you need to understand the name of a nose piercing - a ring that can be inserted not only into the wing of the nose, but also into the central septum.

Nose piercing, or Nostril piercing, is the most current, as well as the most common type of piercing, which everyone has seen without a doubt.

There is also a Septum piercing, in which a hole is made in the nasal septum. Moreover, it can be done both with the capture of cartilage tissue, and by it.

Bridge nose piercing is the insertion of an earring or rod through the soft tissues, that is, the skin, in the region of the bridge of the nose, approximately at eye level. Moreover, both horizontal and vertical bridges are distinguished. Some make whole compositions by inserting several decorations from different sides or on top of each other.

There is also a Septril piercing, which is essentially very similar to a septum, but the earring itself is displayed vertically down.

The horizontal nose piercing, called Nassalang, as well as its variety Austin Bar, is the most complex in terms of technology and is a continuous puncture of the tip of the nose, which affects both wings, as well as the internal septum.

Among other things, there is another type of piercing, which is much less common, but exists, and therefore you need to pay attention to it. Nasal tip piercing is carried out from the inside, up, and out at the very tip of the nose. There are also a wide variety of combinations of punctures of varying degrees of difficulty.

The technology is simple or how nose piercing is done: piercing with a steel needle

If you have firmly decided that you definitely need such an unusual nose decoration and without it the light is not nice to you, it is worth studying in more detail how it is done in order to clarify this issue once and for all. So such a procedure will seem less frightening and dangerous, but you should always beware, because in addition to the puncture technology, you will also need to know for sure how to care for the nose piercing afterwards.

The preparatory process is the most important

It is worth once again focusing on the fact that all nose piercing procedures should be carried out exclusively by real professionals, and without experience it is better not to take on such a thing at all. Only in the salon can they provide an adequate level of protection against infection of the wound, as well as give invaluable recommendations for care for the next six months. To begin with, the skin at the puncture site must be disinfected, but it is not recommended to use alcohol-containing preparations for these purposes. A germicidal soap and any antiseptic can be a better choice. Do not forget that the master must be in sterile gloves, like a surgeon.

First, a piercing site is selected, for example, in the wing of the nose. With the help of a surgical marker, a dot is placed, which shows where the earring will subsequently be. You can experiment until the place seems the most suitable for you. It also does not hurt to pick up the earring itself, which you will wear for the next few months. Most often, craftsmen have special hygienic earrings made of medical steel, it makes sense to choose the one that you like the most.

Works of a puncture: it is worth a little patience

After proper preparation, you can proceed to the puncture itself. To do this, you will need to use round tongs with holes, which will need to be installed so that the place marked with a marker lies just in the place of the hole in the clamp. Using a special steel hollow needle with a silicone catheter, a puncture is made, and then an earring is inserted into it. Professional craftsmen insert a special silicone plug inside the nostrils, but preferably plastic, so as not to accidentally hook the mucous membrane on the septum when piercing.

Many people are interested in a very entertaining and really important question, is it painful to do a nose piercing, but no one can answer it for sure. It's all about the susceptibility of the body, as well as the level of pain threshold for each individual person. For some, the operation seems completely painless, while others believe that doing a nose piercing is extremely painful and unpleasant. However, there are options here, if you are afraid, you can ask the master to apply special anesthetic ointments or creams that he definitely has.

Care and proper healing: how long does a nose piercing heal

It is clear that all nasal punctures that affect cartilage, and not just soft tissues, will heal much longer and more painfully than usual ones. And much more care and attention will be needed. And in general, a nose piercing is one of the most difficult and painful processes, and not the making of a hole itself, usually it does not take much time, but its tightening. To begin with, decide immediately on the earring, as it must be selected in such a way as not to injure the mucous membrane, and the puncture channel itself.

After everything is set, and a fresh wound has been treated, it remains for you to properly care for it so that a clean and healthy channel is formed, which can be tightened very quickly if the earring is removed. For example, ten minutes after you remove the earring, it will be problematic, and sometimes even impossible, to put it back on.

In no case should drugs containing alcohol be used to disinfect a wound. This will not only burn the mucous membranes, but can also contribute to the formation of a granuloma, which, if not properly treated, can create very serious problems.

  • You should not even accidentally touch your nose with your hands on the street, in an educational institution, at work, and even at home. If there is some kind of emergency, then first you need to thoroughly wash your hands with soap, and preferably with bactericidal, and only after that do something.
  • "Chlorhexidine" and "Saline" should become an integral part of your first aid kit for a long time. With these tools, you need to process the puncture three times a day, respectively, from the outside, as well as from the inside. So how do you treat a nose piercing? Use cotton swabs for this.
  • It is not necessary to apply cosmetics to the skin during the healing of the puncture, you need to give up tonics, milk, sprays and even ordinary micellar water, let it be better to wait for better times.
  • Many also ask how to remove a nose piercing, and they think that this can be done almost immediately after piercing. In fact, in no case should you change the earring before the wound is completely healed and the channel becomes absolutely clean.
  • Falling down with your nose buried in a pillow will no longer work, consider this fact. Yes, and tight sweaters and golfs with narrow necks will have to be abandoned for a while so as not to injure the wound.

To the question of how long a nose piercing heals, there is also an answer: each time in a different way. However, it is recommended to wait a period of several months, up to six months, so as not to miscalculate. At least for the next three weeks, you will have to give up swimming in ponds and pools, do not sunbathe in the open sun and do not visit the solarium. You will be warned about the consequences, because nose piercing, before and after photos should be considered in detail, it is not quite as simple and safe as ear piercing.

Earring change after complete healing

You can put in a new earring only after the canal has completely healed, and the period for each can vary greatly. For example, some already after three weeks freely remove and put on jewelry, while for others, even after two months, the wound does not completely overgrow. Moreover, you need to understand that a carnation with a ball inside will be easy to remove and determine back, but alas, not everyone knows how to insert a piercing into the nose with a hook. But this is by no means difficult:

  • Soak your crocheted earring in peroxide for about five minutes. This will completely destroy harmful microorganisms and bacteria.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water, put on gloves, and disinfect the piercing without removing the first earring with your usual means.
  • In order for the earring to simply and easily enter the puncture, it is recommended to lubricate it with Levomekol.
  • Carefully remove the stud, and carefully insert the earring with the hook into the channel, and then simply turn it until it takes its place.

After that, everything must be treated in exactly the same way as with the first decoration, so that neither inflammation, nor suppuration, nor granulomas occur. Moreover, a nose piercing is exactly what you will be messing with all your life. That is, you will have to take care, disinfect, regularly check the condition often, and also for a very long time. Your nose piercing will never be as clean and painless as in the ear, and if the earring is removed and not worn, the hole will completely heal very quickly, and the whole process will have to be repeated over again.

Many want to make a beautiful and high-quality piercing, but not everyone pays for it. The temptation is great: in the pharmacy you can buy everything you need for the procedure, and on the Internet you can find detailed instructions. Well, if you are confident in your abilities, we will try to help you until the situation escalates at all and you read too much on the Internet.

So, you decided not to overpay and get yourself a piercing yourself. Can it be done?

What do you need for home piercing?

Of course you can do it. To do this, you will need at least the jewelry itself, a sterile catheter of a larger diameter than the jewelry itself, sterile cotton wool, sterile gloves, sterile gauze, a band-aid, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol (or vodka) and Miramistin (in extreme cases - saline). All this can certainly be bought at the nearest pharmacy.

The next step is processing the decoration. You still won’t be able to sterilize it in an autoclave (otherwise you wouldn’t read this article), so try to boil the product for a while and wipe it with alcohol.

Then you face a dilemma - in which room to make a puncture? On the one hand, there is probably a large mirror in the bathroom and it is convenient to lay out a set of a young piercer on the sink (although we strongly do not recommend this: can you imagine how many bacteria are on the sink?). On the other hand, in the room you can at least sit down, but it’s not a fact that there is a mirror there, and wiping the carpet from blood is also not the most pleasant thing.

The sequence of actions or why you will not succeed

Suppose you solved the problem by sitting in a room and putting a mirror in front of you, and laying napkins or newspapers on the floor. Well, perhaps, in this situation, this is the best option. Now put on gloves, mark the puncture site. Next - insert the needle exactly at an angle of 90 degrees to the skin if you want to pierce the lobe or cartilage. If you want to make a more complex piercing, for example, industrial, then you will have to attach the jewelry to your ear and make markings exactly along it - the piercings should be on the same line.

Next, inhale and insert the needle. I must say that it often seems to people that if the skin is pierced slowly, then the pain will be less. And the body will reflexively force you to do just that, although in reality it must be done quickly.

Pull out the needle and insert the jewelry into the plastic tube from the catheter - if, of course, you are lucky and it will crawl through. If you managed to find a piercing needle, the jewelry is inserted into it, and the needle is pulled out from the back. Next, you need to try to put a wrap, fasten the ring, etc.

In the case of nose, lip and genital piercings, the situation is even worse: you cannot physically insert the needle at the right angle and insert the jewelry correctly. And when the wings of the nose and septum are pierced, the eyes are very watery, and you will not be able to see what is happening in the mirror.

The puncture is done - what's next?

Be that as it may, the resulting puncture must be poured abundantly with hydrogen peroxide to wash out the blood - an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. At the same time, you don’t need to be very zealous: it’s harmful to pull a fresh puncture once again. Next, rinse the puncture with Miramistin or saline and seal with a plaster. Perhaps it's ready.

By the way, I bet you didn't know that:

1. In fact, there can be no question of any sterility during boiling, because the HIV and Hepatitis C viruses die when sterilized in an autoclave for at least 20 minutes at 132 degrees? The same goes for alcohol: it degreases the surface, but does not sterilize it. Can you guess what the procedure can cost you in the conditions described above?

2. The lack of special tools like professional needles of the SUITABLE diameter, a disinfecting surgical scrub, sterile gloves and so on directly affects the quality of the procedure - and your well-being (as well as the "well-being" of the puncture). The same goes for surgical steel jewelry: rejection, suppuration, constant pain are common under such conditions.

3. Well, if you pierce only the ear, in which there are no arteries and veins. But if you are trying to pierce your tongue, then everything can end very badly: if you make the puncture unevenly, you can hit a large artery or vein. This is fraught with death from blood loss if you do not call an ambulance in time. You can also touch the vein if you do not feel it when marking the puncture. You can also hurt the muscle, of which the tongue mainly consists. In this case, the puncture will be 3-5 times more difficult to heal, longer and more painful.

How do you like this option? Probably not very much, even if you really want to save money.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the situation when a person gets pierced at home because he is shy and afraid to ask questions in the studio. So: in a good studio they will always answer any questions, tell and, if necessary, show everything that interests you. This is a sign of quality work.

Let's compare, we'll talk about what you have to do in our studio, if you want to get a puncture.

Requirements for piercing earrings

Earrings in the nose and other jewelry that is installed at the puncture site must meet certain requirements. This is important because they interact with the wound on the skin and are designed to permanently reside in the soft tissues or nasal cartilage.

Among them:

  1. the possibility of sterilization;
  2. hypoallergenic material;
  3. simple removal mechanism;
  4. ease of care;
  5. comfort of wearing;
  6. aesthetic appearance.

Types of jewelry

Piercing jewelry is varied in shape and material. Can be distinguished:

  1. classic rings, often used for the wings of the nose or septum - piercing in the nose like a bull;
  2. nostrils for the wings of the nose;
  3. half rings for the septum;
  4. tunnels for the wings of the nose (round piercing) and combined piercing of the wings and septum;
  5. labret and microlabret for the wing of the nose, reminiscent of carnations;

Imitation piercing

If you do not like punctures of soft tissues or cartilage of the nose, but still want to add a twist to the image, then you can use a fake piercing. Attach this decoration:

  1. on the clamp;
  2. on a magnet;
  3. on the suction cup;
  4. on glue;

As a rule, at first glance it is not possible to distinguish a real piercing from an imitation.

Who gets a nose piercing?

The fashion to adorn ourselves with piercings came to us from the Middle East, because Indian nose earrings are a thousand-year tradition. Today, some of the fair sex associate the concept of beauty with a nose piercing, because even a small carnation gives individuality and zest to any look. It is impossible to say that piercings are selected according to the type of appearance, most likely, this happens on the basis of the girl's style itself.

It should be noted that experimenting with your appearance in this way is more suitable for young women under 30 - 35 years old. After this age, one must either choose more restrained jewelry or another way of self-expression, although there are always lovers of shocking the public.

Girls with nose piercings invariably attract attention. For this reason, it is worth considering whether it is permissible to decorate yourself in this way if, for example, you have a strict dress code at work or it involves visiting government agencies.

Meaning of piercing

Africans 4,000 years ago decorated their noses with rings, believing that this would bring them good luck. Later, only women began to wear jewelry; it played an important role as a symbol of marriage.

Indian men always pierced only the left nostril in order to preserve male strength and protect themselves from impotence, and women - for easy childbirth without consequences. Depending on which side of the nose piercing is done, a conclusion is made about some qualities of a person. A pierced right nostril is a sign of a desire for narcissism and selfishness.

Hindus pierce their nose in honor of the goddess Parvati, who keeps the marriage bond. In addition, for them it is a sign of high social status.

It is very difficult to talk about the significance of a nose piercing for a girl or a guy in the modern world, because the origins of the tradition of wearing earrings in the nose are rooted in ancient times and not only in India. Most likely, the answer can be given by the people themselves who choose this type of jewelry. In most cases today, this is done for beauty or to emphasize belonging to a particular subculture.

Currently, a nose piercing is not only a female, but also a male decoration. Guys with nose piercings are quite common.

How is a nose piercing done?

When is the best time to get pierced?

One of the most common questions concerns whether it is possible to get pierced in winter. It is better to prefer the cold season for the procedure, because this will prevent many complications associated with excessive sweat, dirt and dust, etc.

In winter, you should be very careful not to touch the earring with sweaters and scarves, otherwise this will lead to injury to the nose.

Needle or gun?

Many people think that a nose piercing is done by analogy with an ear piercing with a special gun. Actually it is not. It is better to choose a needle for piercing, because a gun that easily pierces a delicate earlobe may not be able to cope with a fairly thick nose skin at all.

Occasionally, nose piercing with a gun is used for the nostrils.

The needle is not as dangerous as it seems at first glance. The piercing site is disinfected in advance, anesthetized. The puncture is done one-time and very quickly. In this case, you will not have time to feel almost any pain. It is important to fix the earring well so that it does not squeeze soft tissues.

nose piercing procedure

Universal piercing technique

The technique for performing any puncture followed by putting on an earring consists of several stages in a salon:

  1. disinfection by the master of hands and tools;
  2. marking after choosing a place for decoration and processing;
  3. anesthesia (optional);
  4. the introduction of previously selected jewelry;
  5. disinfection of the puncture site.

Nostril piercing technique

The procedure is:

  1. placing a needle in the nostril of a steel receiver, which will pass through the soft tissues inward;
  2. pierce the nostrils from the outside;
  3. removing the tube after removing the needle;
  4. insertion of jewelry through a needle.

Technique for piercing the nasal septum

For the septum, a fixing clip is used. A puncture is made using a needle with a catheter through which the jewelry is installed.

If cartilage is pierced, then anesthesia is mandatory.

Septril technique

Using a fixing clip, a needle with a catheter is used to pierce the lower part of the bridge of the nose from the outside into the middle of the wing of the nose. The jewelry is inserted through the catheter.

Nose tip piercing technique

The master pierces the tip of the nose with a needle and leads it into the nostril. The use of a clamp in this case is mandatory. Piercing is performed on soft tissues without affecting the cartilage.

Bridge piercing technique

If a horizontal bridge is performed, then after fixing the skin fold with a clamp, it is pierced horizontally with a needle with a catheter. When vertical - vertically.

Austin Bar Puncture Technique

The cartilage of the nasal septum is not affected. It is fixed, but the horizontal puncture is carried out only through the soft tissues of the top of the nose.

Technique for piercing the nasal septum and wings

The piercing of the wings and nasal septum is carried out at the same time when using a clamp and fixing the nose with the hands of a master.

Usually any kind of procedure does not take more than 15 minutes.

Piercing at home

At home, you can do the piercing yourself, but you should choose the wing of the nose as the puncture site - this is the safest option. For this, you will also need a piercing needle with a catheter.

The procedure goes as follows:

  1. you need to disinfect the puncture site, needle, hands and earring;
  2. turn the nostril outward with your hands, trying to do it as high as possible so that the clasp of the earring is not visible in the future;
  3. pierce the wing of the nose with a quick and confident movement;
  4. place the jewelry in the hole of the catheter and remove the needle;
  5. process a puncture with an earring and fix the jewelry.

Be sure to pay attention to the presence of skin irritations, moles at the puncture site. If they are, then you need to choose another option.

Piercing Care

The answer to the question of how long it takes for a nose piercing to heal depends on the type and complexity of the piercing.

Most likely, the nose wing piercing heals - approximately 4 weeks. Other types of puncture require a longer period - from 6 to 8 months. It is important to know how and with what to handle a nose piercing.

Rules for care after a puncture:

  1. do not touch the wound and decoration with your hands if you are not going to process them;
  2. the wound is treated with a cotton swab, washed with salt water with it (1 tablespoon of salt per 1 tablespoon of warm water), until the crust is removed;
  3. it is recommended to drip drops into the nose, those varieties that contain sea water in the composition (Otrivin, Aqualor);
  4. gently blot the puncture site with an earring with paper napkins, because, for example, a carnation can catch on a terry towel;
  5. lubricate the wound with lavender oil after treatment, this will speed up healing;
  6. you can not tear off the crust, otherwise the infection will cause complications;
  7. it will be possible to remove the piercing from the nose only after complete healing;
  8. do not apply cosmetics to the piercing.

A very often asked question is whether a nose piercing overgrows. It is not recommended to remove the jewelry for more than 1 day during the first 6-8 months. A hole in the nose after piercing is tightened after 24 hours or even earlier, depending on the characteristics of the body.

Complex jewelry, such as a nose piercing with a hook, should be worn as late as possible so that the wound has time to heal and form completely.

Every earring and puncture site must be properly cared for. safety requires constant disinfection and caution

Consequences of a nose piercing

All types of piercing can have complications after the procedure if the technique or rules for its implementation are violated.

The most common complications:

  1. excessive bleeding or bleeding in violation of blood clotting;
  2. inflammatory process in the cartilage, which leads to its destruction;
  3. damage to the nasal septum with complex punctures;
  4. soft tissue inflammation;
  5. the occurrence of chronic otitis media;
  6. mucosal injury with direct nostrils;
  7. nerve damage.

Inflammation of soft tissues is accompanied by edema, induration at the puncture site, throbbing pain, and local fever. In any case, it is necessary to seek medical help and treatment.

sometimes causes complications if the puncture is performed by a non-professional, then the risk of infection is high can cause tissue inflammation fraught with various complications and dangerous to health, especially if done at home

Today, piercing is done not only by representatives of informal youth. This way of self-expression has become a real fashion trend. And if you are asking yourself the question of how to pierce your nose at home, then this article is for you.

Piercing is trendy!

It is known that decorating your body with punctures came to us from ancient times. Even until now, many people associate piercing with representatives. However, since the 60s of the twentieth century, it gradually began to move into the modern world. Today, you will not surprise anyone with a pierced nose or a few earrings. Moreover, some non-formals adorn themselves in more extreme ways, inserting tunnels and microdermals under the skin.

But today we will talk about the most fashionable and popular type of piercing - nose piercing. After all, this kind of modern modification of appearance will help diversify your everyday look and express yourself. In addition, on the shelves of stores you can find the most unusual and unique nose jewelry that can be matched to any outfit.

However, many are concerned about the question - does it hurt to pierce the nose and how to do it at home? You will learn about the features and nuances of this type of piercing below.

Does it hurt to pierce your nose?

Any violation of the skin is accompanied by pain. Even a small abrasion brings discomfort. Therefore, it is obvious that the puncture is not a painless procedure. However, the degree of pain can be reduced by using only modern equipment and trusting the hands of a professional.

Many, for example, are interested in - how to pierce your nose with a gun? In fact, it is the fastest and painless procedure. After all, a fraction of a second is spent on a puncture. In addition, it has been proven that only when using a gun, the skin heals the fastest.

How is it at home?

Many young people do not consider it necessary to turn to piercers, preferring to experiment on their appearance on their own. For this purpose, household or medical needles are used. But often in the reflection of the mirror there appears not a pretty nose with an elegant decoration, but a swollen "potato". This is due to non-compliance with sanitary and hygienic preparation for the procedure and low-quality materials. In addition, if a puncture is made in the wrong place, infection or other complications may develop.

It should be noted that this approach is not safe and entails bad consequences. Does it hurt to pierce your nose with a household needle? Of course, this is a very painful procedure. Therefore, forever forget about piercing your nose yourself.

We turn to a professional

But where is the safest place to get your nose pierced? Today, piercing is done in almost any beauty salon or in special body modification studios. After all, to carry out this procedure, you need a special gun and high-quality jewelry made of medical steel. The master pre-treats the desired area with alcohol and makes a mark where the future decoration will be. After that, the selected carnation is installed in the gun. The instrument is placed perpendicular to the skin surface and a puncture is made with one easy movement. In this case, the client feels only a slight tingling sensation. Therefore, if you are wondering how to pierce your nose without pain, then definitely choose a gun. Some masters suggest making a puncture with a special needle. But such a procedure is felt by the client much more painfully.

The cost of such a procedure varies from 500 to 1000 rubles. At the same time, the price includes decoration and a puncture directly. However, be prepared for the fact that you will have to additionally buy a special ointment for healing the piercing.

How to care for a piercing?

In the first few days, the area around the piercing will be slightly inflamed. This may cause some inconvenience, but after a week all the discomfort will pass. In this case, it is required to treat the piercing area daily with a special ointment, which will be issued by the master. It will be possible to change the primary jewelry to a new one only after the complete healing of the puncture.

If after a week the inflammation has not gone away at the site of your puncture, then, most likely, piercing jewelry is not suitable for you. Therefore, it is better to remove the carnation from the medical alloy and let the wound heal completely. Such a reaction may also be associated with the lack of professionalism of the master or with non-compliance with sanitary rules during the puncture. This once again proves that you should choose a salon for piercing very carefully.

Will a pierced nose heal?

If you do not wear jewelry for a month, then the puncture will completely tighten. After all, any tissue has a tendency to regenerate and heal. A small puncture from a gun heals very quickly. But if we talk about the tunnels that are fashionable these days, which are worn in the ears, then a whole operation will be required for healing. After all, the earlobe, stretched to 2-3 sentiments, will never take its former shape.

If you are wondering if it hurts to pierce your nose again, then you can be calm. As a rule, experienced piercers no longer feel pain as much as beginners. Therefore, you can safely update your image and delight others.

Who can't get pierced?

Any puncture on the body is stress for the body. It is not known how your skin will react to a foreign body. Therefore, before carrying out the procedure, it is worth considering everything carefully.

You should not do a nose piercing if you have an individual intolerance to various kinds of metals. After all, then the puncture will only cause inconvenience. And the consequences of piercing in this case can be the most deplorable.

In addition, it is not recommended to pierce children under 16 and pregnant women. Refuse piercing if your lifestyle has a risk of tearing off the jewelry and thereby injuring the skin. It can be curious young children, extreme sports, and even pets. If your piercing is still injured, see a doctor immediately.

Remember that if you still decide on a piercing procedure, then go only to. After all, not only your image, but also your health depends on it. Do not save on antiseptic ointments, and at the slightest discomfort, remove the jewelry.

Jewelry for a pierced nose

Today you can find many different decorations for those who like to modify their appearance. When punctured, as a rule, a carnation made of medical alloy is installed. On his hat there may be various pebbles or images. It is better to choose a universal design, because next month you will not be able to replace this decoration with another one.

After the wound has healed, you can replace the carnation with a ring. However, give preference only to high-quality materials. It can be silver, gold or metal with a hypoallergenic coating. Never insert a new piece of jewelry if your piercing is still bleeding or causing discomfort.

Do not forget that any piercing jewelry should be regularly treated with alcohol and kept clean. After all, any infection brought into the puncture can cause inflammation. To process jewelry, you can also use special tools that are sold in salons and beauty studios.

Nose piercing is a great way to beautify your body and express your personality. After all, for this there are many unusual and bright jewelry, which can be changed every day. But remember that the consequences of piercing can be negative if you do not contact a professional and do not follow hygiene.

Hello everyone!
I recently got myself another piercing, namely the piercing of the wing of the nose. To be honest, I would never have dared to pierce the septum (septum), so I settled on the wing, because I think that this type of piercing will easily decorate the nose, and what to wear in a puncture - a ring or a nostril - is up to you!

Briefly about the procedure itself:

The puncture should be carried out only by the master! I do not welcome self-piercing, as in some cases it can lead to serious consequences. It is better to pay and get a puncture from a good (!!!) master and sleep peacefully than to do it yourself and then suffer from infections that you can bring yourself. For a nose piercing (and for any other) are used only disposable needles. Pistols to use IT IS FORBIDDEN!!! As a primary decoration that will last from a month to six months, this titanium nostril. Some masters may offer you to put D-ring(outside it looks like a ring, inside it is a direct decoration), but such decorations are also undesirable, as they can be screwed on. In my puncture there was a titanium nostril - a direct decoration without unscrewing parts, at one end of which there is a pebble (ball / opal, there are a lot of types), and at the other end there is a “snail” or “L” (there is no photo of the decoration, unfortunately).
When your nose is pierced, tears will flow (most likely from only one eye). This is a normal phenomenon, such an anatomy of a person. When the septum is punctured, tears also flow!
It doesn’t hurt to pierce the wing of the nose, but I automatically start yelling as soon as I see piercing and cutting objects next to my face.
After the puncture, the left wing of the nose began to hurt. It's natural: you've been hurt. So redness, slight swelling and aching pain are normal. It is best to walk / drive home after the puncture and go to bed. Pretreatment of the piercing site. This is what will be discussed now.

CARE AND HEALING

Any wound, scratch, any damage to your body must be treated. And if many people smear wounds and scratches with brilliant green, cauterize with alcohol and iodine (although this is not recommended), then everything is different with piercing.

So, here it is, a list of what you need:

1. Miramistin. I think many people know this miracle cure, which can prevent virtually any sore: from a sore throat (yes, you can take it inside!) To STDs. With the same remedy, you should wash your puncture 3-5 times a day: in the morning, in the evening, after coming from the street and whenever possible. , then with a cotton swab dipped in Miramistin, remove the crust and everything that has accumulated around the wound (blood, lymph)
2. Chlorhexidine. This is a cheaper analogue of Miramistin (~350₽), costs around 12₽ (prices in St. Petersburg). Sold in a small and handy 100 ml pack that you can take everywhere: from work to the plane. But this remedy has side effects (redness, itching, plaque on the teeth and tongue, if taken orally, it can cause vomiting) and should not be used by pregnant and lactating women. Also, the effect of chlorhexidine weakens upon contact with blood, lymph, etc.
2. Sea salt/saline solution (NaCl). These tools can be used as you wish. They cost about 60 rubles. It is necessary to heat the solution to a hot but tolerable temperature, then lower the nose into it so that the puncture “floats”. After removing the accumulation. If using sea salt, fill it with hot water and repeat the same.

What NOT to do!

1. It is forbidden to swim in pools, reservoirs, visit baths, saunas for 1 month;
2. It is forbidden to scroll, take out and masturbate jewelry in every possible way! Due to the high level of polishing, modern jewelry (of course, high-quality ones) does not grow in and even contribute to faster healing;
3. It is forbidden to treat the puncture with peroxide, alcohol, brilliant green / iodine, calendula, holy water. These agents interfere with healing, as they act aggressively on tissues;
4. Contact of cosmetics to the puncture site is unacceptable, as an infection can be introduced.

How long does healing take?

Primary healing occurs in 1-2 months. This means that after a month or two, the puncture should not hurt, there should not be severe redness. If any of this is there, it means that you are doing something wrong, or the master who pricked you is a hand-cutter, or there is a low-quality jewelry (ask for a certificate!). There is a white list of masters by city, you can ask them any question regarding a puncture! You can change the decoration to the same one, but with a different wrap or from “snail” to “L” or vice versa in 3-4 months!

After six months, you can replace your direct jewelry with a ring or a circular and walk calmly. The main thing is that these jewelry be of high quality, otherwise your puncture will become inflamed and healing will have to be done again!

Puncture impressions:

It seems to me that a small stone on the wing is the most acceptable decoration, and in any case, such a piercing will look advantageous. However, you will not be able to hide this piercing, unless you grow a long bang. It is very important to carefully care for this piercing, as there is a risk of keloid scars, and this is fraught with an operating table. After all, this is your face, and a crooked, non-healing puncture will look disgusting on it! Another of the minuses you want to note is that the nostril will constantly cling to towels and clothes. And if you remove the jewelry, then a small scar may remain, which in most cases can be hidden with foundation.
Hope this review was helpful
