Now, be sure to add quite a bit of salt to the dough so that the sour cream does not turn out to be cloyingly sweet and somehow freshly tasteless at the same time.

Stir all the ingredients in the bowl well.

And we introduce sifted flour into the dough.

Knead the dough one more time and it is ready for baking. The correct consistency of the sour cream dough is thin, about the same as medium-fat sour cream.

We warm up the oven and, since there are no fats in the sour cream dough, grease the baking dish very abundantly with butter - the bottom and completely the sides. (You can line the pan with baking paper if you want to skip the oil.)

We bake the sour cream at a temperature of 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. We check the readiness as usual - for a dry match (toothpick).

In the meantime, the cake is baked, we will make sour cream. I want to emphasize once again that for cream you need to take fatty sour cream, it is thanks to this that the sour cream will turn out to be tender. And it is imperative to add vanilla sugar to the cream, then you will get the same classic taste familiar from childhood. Preparing the cream is elementary. We mix all the ingredients in one container and beat with a broom or a mixer until the sugar grains dissolve as much as possible. Whip up the cream - and put it in the refrigerator, where it should be stored until use.

Take the finished cake out of the oven and let it cool. Then turn it upside down and cut it in two. I do this using a regular, but very strong thread: I cut the cake round in the middle with a depth of literally 7-10 mm. Then, on one side, I pass the thread into this incision and carefully, at both ends, pull it along the entire length of the cake. Thus, the cake is easily cut into even pieces in a matter of seconds. The main condition is that it must be well cooled, otherwise it will "crawl" along the thread.

If you want the cake to turn out evenly, cut off the uneven crusts from the sides and top (you can give them to the household to eat with a couple of tablespoons of cream).

Now pour the cakes abundantly with sour cream, laying them so that the top is on the bottom, and the bottom, respectively, on top. So your sour cream will turn out to be almost perfectly flat, without "waves" and bulges.

Spread the cream generously. Do not worry if some cream drains from the sour cream - pour the cream on the sides of the cake. Everything will freeze in the refrigerator.

We decorate the ready-made sour cream at our discretion and send it to the fridge to infuse. I lightly sprinkled the top with chopped nuts.

The sour cream should stand on impregnation for at least two hours. But remember - the longer it is soaked, the tastier and juicier it will be.
