Ways to install a Christmas tree. How to install a Christmas tree. Decorating a street tree is the most pleasant stage of installation

One of the symbols of the New Year is the tree. Decorated with balls, garlands, rain and serpentine, it always pleases with its appearance, both adults and children. Usually Christmas trees are used of two types - artificial and live. The first ones are easily assembled and installed on a pedestal in the house, but the second ones can puzzle an inexperienced person who decided to place it for the first time. So, how best to put the Christmas tree so that it stands level, does not fall, and what should be done for this and by what means.

It is usually recommended to buy a living tree in advance. This is due to the fact that on the eve of the New Year's celebration, prices for fluffy green beauties are skyrocketing. However, on December 31, prices begin to decline due to the fact that demand decreases, but having bought it, you may not have time to install it. As a rule, having chosen and bought a tree, we bring it home and first of all we bring it into the corridor. Naturally, if a spruce or pine was bought in 7 - 10 days, then you should not immediately dress up and you should not just keep the tree at home, since in the warmth it will quickly lose moisture and wither. Therefore, the tree should be taken from the corridor to the balcony, where the outside temperature is. At such a low temperature, the tree can stand for a long time.

A few days before the holiday, the tree must be taken out of the balcony and started to be installed. It can be produced in different ways depending on what you have in stock.

If you have a metal or wooden stand in the form of a cross, then you need to do the following:

1. Place the stand in the place where the tree will be.

2. Measure the diameter of the stand and the tree with a ruler or a circle using a regular thread.

3. If the diameter of the tree is greater than the diameter of the stand, then use an ax or a sharp knife to grind the trunk around the entire circumference to a length equal to the height of the stand and then check if it fits into the fasteners by lifting the trunk and putting on the stand.

4. If the trunk is narrower than the diameter of the stand, then use a small piece of wood or branch, which should be split into small wedges to knock under the gaps around the perimeter with a hammer.

5. Place the tree on a stand and make sure it is level and not swaying. If the tree is poorly secured, then so that it does not fall or overturn when the toy is swinging, secure it with small wedges.

In the event that you do not have a tree stand, the tree can be placed in a large and deep bucket filled with sand. For this:

1. Place an empty bucket where the tree is supposed to be.

2. Take another bucket and, after filling it with sand, place it next to the empty bucket.

3. Fill an empty bucket a third with sand and, taking by the trunk, place the tree in it strictly in an upright position.

4 Using a spatula or scoop, carefully sprinkle the sand evenly around the edge of the bucket around the tree trunk and tamp lightly.

5. Make sure the tree is securely fixed, remove the empty bucket and cover the sand bucket where the tree is standing with a white cloth.

You can also put the tree on your own using a simple device made from the bottom of the spruce, for this:

1. Cut the lower part of the tree with one tier of branches, the so-called camel, using a hacksaw, 5 - 7 cm in length;

2. Drill with a drill, in the middle of the tree trunk and in the place opposite to the saw cut in the camel, a hole for a metal pin in the form of a rod;

3. Place the stove upside down (branches down) on the floor so that it looks like a cross;

4. Insert a metal rod into the tree trunk and, lifting it, lower it onto the stove so that the rod goes into the hole in the camel;

5. Cover the semblance of a cross, hiding it from sight with white cloth.

"The holiday comes to us", and along with it the New Year's troubles come.
Take care of purchasing a Christmas tree in advance.

1. Barrel... Arriving at the bazaar and pulling out from the heap of branches, cones and needles what you liked, you need to hit the butt (the lower part of the trunk, which was once a single whole with the hemp remaining in the forest) on the ground.
If, as a result of such an action, needles fell on the ground, then you can safely put this "miracle" in place.
If the test is successful, carefully inspect the barrel for mold, mildew and other impurities on it.
As a rule, trees for sale are cut on time, upon reaching the age of eight, and in this case, with a tree height of one and a half meters, the normal weight is considered to be five kilograms, and preferably all seven.
A very thin trunk is a sign of illness. In a healthy tree, the trunk in girth should be at least 6 centimeters, if it branches - it's okay, so the tree looks even fluffier.

2. Needles. Fresh spruce has a bright green color. Lightly rub the needles between your fingers: if the tree is fresh, then you can feel a slight oily and fragrant smell of needles. If there is no smell, and the needles are dry to the touch, then something is wrong with the tree, most likely, it is frostbitten.

3. Branches. The tree should be fresh, dry in two to three days will begin to crumble. In a fresh tree, the branches are elastic, it is not easy to break them off, while in a dry tree they easily break off with a characteristic crackle. The branches should stretch upward.

4. Transportation of the tree. In order not to break off the branches on the way home, it is best to wrap the tree in burlap and tie it with rope. Bring the purchased Christmas tree home with the top back so that the ends of the lower branches do not fray. When you bring the tree into the house, its top, on the contrary, should be in front.

5. Installation of the tree. If the tree was purchased in advance, then it is better to keep it in the cold before the onset of the holiday itself: by hanging it out the window or placing it on the balcony. However, even if the Christmas tree was bought directly on December 31, then it is impossible to immediately bring it into a warm room, install and decorate it: from such a temperature drop, the Christmas tree can get sick and die. If the frost outside is below -10 ° С, do not carry the tree directly into the apartment. Let it stand in the entrance for about 20 minutes to thaw.

Before installing the tree, you need to clean the bark from the trunk by 8-10 cm and peel it off with a sharp knife (to open fresh pores) under running water. You can also cut the top of the spruce obliquely, and anoint the fresh cut with Vishnevsky ointment.

You can install the tree in different ways:

A bucket of sand. A bucket of clean, wet sand is ideal. A liter of water is added to a bucket of sand, in which a small amount of glycerin or gelatin is previously dissolved. Another option - like for garden flowers - an aspirin tablet plus 2 tablespoons of sugar. Some advise adding a small amount of a suitable liquid fertilizer along with the water. It is better to install a Christmas tree in the sand so that the lower part of the trunk is closed by at least 20 centimeters. The sand should be watered after 1-2 days.

A container with water. At the time of installation, the water must be hot and contain acid - acetic or citric. The acidic medium can be replaced with effervescent aspirin tablets. Another recipe: add half a teaspoon of citric acid, a spoonful of gelatin and a little crushed chalk to the water.

Barrel wrapping. The easiest option - but far from ideal: wrap the barrel at the cut point with a damp cloth, which must be periodically moistened. Then strengthen the tree in a crosspiece, on a stand or in some other way.

Spruce twigs can be sprayed from time to time from a spray bottle - thus the tree will retain its freshness longer.

You can install a Christmas tree not only in the house, but also on the street. It is especially good when a live spruce grows in front of the house, then you do not need to buy anything, as well as bother with the installation. By the way, despite the fact that at the moment it is still November, you need to think about installing a Christmas tree right now, the same can be said about pyrotechnics. It is best to visit the fireworks shop soon, because the price of everything is likely to be lower than in the second half of December. And yet, if you buy fireworks, then in the store "Ba-Bah", which can be found on the website ba-bah.ru. They have a huge collection of pyrotechnics. Moreover, everything presented is of the highest quality. As for the prices, they cannot be called high, at least they are not higher than average.

What you need to install a Christmas tree on the street

To install the spruce on the street, you need some kind of holder. The easiest way to do this is to use a steel pipe, you can drive it into the ground and that's it. You can also use a portable holder made of wood. Of course, the holder for the Christmas tree can be welded from steel rolled metal.

Three ways to install spruce

The easiest way is to use a steel pipe of the correct diameter. The inner diameter of the pipe should be slightly larger than the thickness of the spruce trunk. All that needs to be done is to drive the pipe vertically into the ground, about thirty centimeters deep. For this you need a sledgehammer. This should be done right now, because soon the earth will freeze, which will make the installation of the pipe almost impossible.

The next way is to use a wooden holder. It can be knocked down from solid wood, namely from timber and bars, you can also use boards. In the center of such structures, a square of a suitable size is usually arranged. As for the legs, there are usually four of them. It is necessary to put such a stand under the spruce where it is exactly.

The third way to install spruce is to use another holder, but not from wood, but from metal. For the manufacture of such a structure, you will need metal rolling and a welding machine. A piece of steel pipe, corners, a square pipe, and in general everything that can be used in this case, comes in handy from metal.

It is worth noting that to install a Christmas tree on the street, you will need not only a holder, but also a garland, as well as Christmas tree decorations. Moreover, it is desirable that the garland be large, like toys.

So, we go to the finish line and turn on the acceleration! There is only a week left until the New Year, and it's time not just to think, but to start actively preparing the Christmas tree!

Disputes about whether the tree should be live or artificial ... let's leave it for later. Personally, I am of the opinion that _ But we'll talk about this some other time. Now those who have an artificial tree - just click on one of the "Like.buttons" and you can safely not read further, because the stand is included in the kit and you should not have any problems with installation. The rest - you are welcome under the cut - I will tell you how this is not the first time I easily and simply solve the issue with the installation of this New Year's attribute
Christmas tree stands are very different. As a child, we had a metal bucket on a tripod with three clamping screws with which the tree was clamped like in a clamp. It was very convenient - there is little space, it holds tight and you can pour water so that the tree stands longer. But ... the bucket broke a long time ago, and we never found a new similar one (though we didn't look for it too much).
For a while we used for a stand ... an ordinary bucket! Yes, yes - this is the easiest way to install.

Method 1:
What do you need:
1. Bucket (any, you can plastic, we had a wide metal one. The larger the bucket, the larger you can place a Christmas tree in it - after all, a very large Christmas tree is, accordingly, heavy, which means that a decent weight is needed from below).
2. Several plastic bottles filled with water (bottle sizes vary depending on the size of the bucket and tree).
3. A few ropes for stretching (sometimes it is necessary to fix the tree in addition either to the bucket itself in the form of a stretcher, or to a nearby cabinet-battery-shelf, etc.).

What do we do:
- On the bottom of the tree, extra branches are removed to the height of the bucket.
- The Christmas tree is installed in a bucket :) And it is bursting with plastic bottles on all sides (fixed). Some bottles are full, others should be filled to align and fix the tree by inserting them into the bucket. Bottles can be alternated - insert some upwards, others with the neck down. Those that are inserted upside down with the lid can easily be used to "select the balance" during pre-installation: by unscrewing the lid, we drain excess water under pressure and the tree "finds" its place more easily.
- If necessary (if the tree is crooked and twisted), it should be attached to something with small ropes (and even to the same bucket, if the bucket is of sufficient mass). The main thing to pay attention to is that the tree should stand on its own! The ropes only _fix_ it in the right position, so that when carelessly moving during a round dance, it does not break the balance. A properly installed tree does not need additional fixation! :)
- And now, fill the bucket with water - this creates a heavy base for the Christmas tree, and secondly, we extend the time that it will stand. We stood up to one and a half months, the main thing is not to forget to replenish water in time - pine absorbs it very well :)

A large bucket under the tree does not always look beautiful ... (and we had a well-worn bucket, touched by rust ...) so the bucket is wrapped in a layer of packing cotton - it makes a wonderful snowball! And the tree looks like it is installed right in a snowdrift. If your company does not receive devices wrapped in tens of meters of packing cotton (not to be confused with medical, that is much more expensive) :))) - we are looking for any fabric or cardboard - at your discretion. If only it was beautiful :) In the end, the traditional figurines of Santa Claus and Snow Maiden can also be put.

Little Christmas tree for New 2007. Installed by method 1- a plastic bucket disguised as a snowdrift (a 15-liter wide metal bucket was used for large Christmas trees).

Method 2:
We used this method when the tree was medium in size (up to 2 meters), and we installed it for a short time.
What do you need:
1. An ordinary stand from an inexpensive fan. In recent years, we have had such hot summer days ... that you bought a cheap "promotional" fan, if not for home, then for work for sure. Unlike expensive models, the stand is collapsible. We take the lower part from it, separating the fan itself.
2. Some duct tape (tape) or rope.

What do we do:
Actually, that's all! :))
- We attach the Christmas tree with rope / tape to the stand - and we are happy :) In a cool room, the Christmas tree stands calmly for up to two weeks, it does not crumble. The stand is lightweight, the tree can be easily carried from place to place.

Method 3:
This year I applied it for the first time. Actually, this is a combination of methods 1 and 2. Initially, I was going to use method 2, but then ... I regretted the tree and decided to add some water to it.

What do you need:
1. Ordinary rack from an inexpensive fan (see method 2).
2. A little tape or rope.
3. Plastic bottle (at least 2 liters. In general, the size depends on the thickness of the barrel. In our case, a 5-liter capacity was required).
4. I also needed one 30 mm self-tapping screw, but I could do without it.

What do we do:
1. First of all, as before, we free the trunk from the lower branches to the height of our container.

One of the questions that visits us on New Year's Eve is how to keep a living Christmas tree at home for longer, so that one of the main New Year and Christmas attributes will please the eyes of households and, of course, guests as much as possible. Below we list some tricks to ensure that the tree does not crumble longer and remains the same bright at least throughout the New Year holidays.

  • Buy fresh spruce. Of course, all the sellers will vying with each other to tell that the forest beauty was cut just an hour ago, but in fact, it happens that the cut trees "get" to their buyers for several weeks. If possible, buy spruce directly from the nursery or from trusted sellers.
  • Acclimatize. It is undesirable to immediately place the tree in a room with room temperature from frost, it is advisable to let it stand for about a day on the balcony, in the garage, etc.
  • Give the tree a shower. If possible, rinse the coniferous beauty under the shower: this procedure will not only remove dust and dirt from the tree, but also saturate every twig and needle with life-giving moisture. After the procedure, let the water drain, and then set the tree in place.
  • Temperature conditions. The cooler it is in a room with a spruce, the longer it will stand. It is undesirable to place a tree near heating radiators and other heating devices, as this will lead to premature tarnishing and shedding of the needles.
  • Moistening the branches. If you spray the tree with a spray bottle every day, or at least once every 2 - 3 days, this will help the branches retain much-needed moisture. IMPORTANT! Unplug electrical strings during the procedure to avoid electric shock and short circuit! Try to keep moisture away from the garlands and do not overdo it with spraying.
  • Barrel nutrition. Be sure to place the tree trunk in a container with a water solution. Various nutrients are added to the water either all together or separately: sugar (approximately 50 g per 1 liter of water); salt (about 1 tbsp. l.); aspirin (one crushed tablet); chalk (about 50g); lemon to-that (1 tsp)

If you are installing a spruce on a stand, then it is advisable to place the container with the solution under the stand, lowering the cut into this container. It is advisable to increase the feeding area by cutting the trunk into a wedge, making an oblique cut, or removing the bark from the lower part of the trunk. in process of evaporation and "drinking", it is advisable to renew the solution in the container.

How to put a Christmas tree without a stand

If you do not have a stand, or the stand design does not suit you, or you cannot install a container with a nutrient solution under the stand, then the simplest option is to put the tree in a bucket of sand and moisten the sand with the same solution. Established in this way, the tree will be stable and will remain for a long time due to the largest feeding area.

Well, if you buy a Christmas tree in a pot, which we wrote about here, then this beauty will delight you throughout your life, and not only during the winter holidays. And if desired, subsequently, it can be planted in open ground, decorating a personal plot or making a contribution to the greening of our beloved planet.

Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!

An artificial tree is chosen for a long time, and a live one only for a few holidays. But this time it will delight you with a unique coniferous aroma, giving the most real New Year's mood.

If you do not have much experience in handling a natural tree, then you simply cannot do without our advice. Before you go to the Christmas tree market, carefully read how to choose and install a live Christmas tree for the New Year at home yourself.

How to choose a living tree

If you decide to choose a living tree, then do not miss the time. If two or three weeks before the New Year there are thick and beautiful spruces in the bazaars, then before the holiday itself there may be bald trees that no one bought.

In addition to the external beauty of the Christmas tree, an important parameter for its selection is the size, that is, the height. The tree should not rest against the ceiling. Alternatively, of course, you can file the trunk a little, but tall trees are usually more expensive. The width of the tree is a less important parameter, but nevertheless, dressed up, it should not take up the whole room and interfere with the passage of your household.

If you put a fir in a corner, you can buy a cheaper one-sided tree. Otherwise, you will have to chop off branches from a too lush crown, which should stand in the center of the room and delight others with its beauty from all sides.

Now you need to choose a high-quality living tree that will stand for a long time in your home. This must be done on several grounds at once.

1. Take your favorite Christmas tree and hit the bottom of the trunk on the ground like a staff. If the needles fell, then it is better not to take such a tree.

2. Now you need to examine the trunk, if it is very thin, this may be a sign of a disease. If the tree is healthy, then the trunk girth should be at least 10 cm. But branching is not a sign of mutation, on the contrary, such a tree is usually fluffy and beautiful. Also inspect the barrel for mold and mildew.

3. The needles of a fresh Christmas tree have a deep green color. The needles feel a little oily and very fragrant if you rub them a little with your fingers. If all this is not so, then the tree is frozen.

4. The branches should stretch upward, be flexible and break easily. If they break off with a bang, this indicates that the spruce has dried up and will not stand for a long time.

You also need to deliver the selected Christmas tree home according to certain rules, having previously packed it in a bag and tied it with rope. In order not to spoil the lower branches, carry it with the top back, and before entering the entrance, unfold it with the crown.

It is usually cold on New Year's Eve, and the trees are kept outside. Therefore, at home, the forest beauty is waiting for completely different conditions, to which she must get used to before installing and decorating. Keep it in the entrance for about an hour so that it thaws if the frost outside is below 10 degrees. And then leave it for 1-2 days in the hallway (or where it will not bother you) to warm up by wrapping the trunk at the bottom with a wet cloth and covering the tree on top with a dry one. You do not need to untie the connected branches and wash the Christmas tree.

If you bought it in advance, you need to store the tree in a cold room, for example, on a balcony, in a garage or basement, so that its needles do not fall off.

How to install a live Christmas tree at home

When the living tree gets used to the warmth of your home, carefully untie and remove all the ropes, being careful not to damage or break the branches. Measure the height of the tree and your ceiling, making sure it will fit upright in the room.

The trunk from the bottom must be cleaned of bark by 8–10 cm and a little filed or cut with a sharp knife under running water, as the resin clogs up the pores and prevents the tree from absorbing moisture. If at the Christmas tree bazaar a Christmas tree was cut diagonally, then saw off this entire part so that the base is even. Also calculate the distance from the stand to the lower branches, you may also need to cut some of them.

Now place the tree upright and look from all sides. It will be better if someone can help you do this. The most beautiful side of the tree should attract the eyes of those entering the room so that it is immediately visible. Moreover, if the tree is in the corner, all the beautiful and fluffy branches should be in sight, and not near the wall.

A living tree is installed in a special stand designed specifically for this purpose. It has legs, sand pot and barrel bolts for custom size. After installation, see if the tree is level, if it has not tilted to the side. You can replace such a pot with a bucket of sand, but there is no guarantee that the tree decorated with toys will not fall when you are not expecting it at all. The lower part of the trunk should be covered with sand by at least 20 cm.

A live Christmas tree needs special care so that it stands longer, does not dry out or crumble. First of all, it needs to be watered. The first time it is better to do this when your spruce is not only installed, but already dressed up. Pour hot, but not boiling water into a container to clear the resin from the pores. The next watering should be done every day with water at room temperature, settled or from a filter.

It seems easy to set up a tree, but when you come across it on New Year's Eve, you start to get lost in thought and come up with different ways.

So that you do not strain before New Year's Eve, we will give you some tips on how to install a live and artificial Christmas tree.

It is worth remembering that before you can fix the spruce, you need to buy it. You should buy a Christmas tree a week before the holiday, because the day before New Year's Eve you are unlikely to find a good one.

When choosing a beauty, pay attention to her needles. They shouldn't be broken and yellow.

A sprinkling Christmas tree will not stand for a long time either, and it is not very pleasant for it to remain for a long time. Therefore, if you did not manage to get a live one, then it is better to go for an artificial one.

Adapting the tree before installation

If you purchased a tree in early December, you should not install it right away, because it is possible that it will not be worth up to 31.

Place it on a balcony or other cold place without undoing.

As soon as you brought the spruce tree to an apartment, house or other warm room, do not rush to untie it. Let her stand and get used to the temperature.

Before installing, be sure to make a fresh cut and clean the trunk 5-10 cm.

How to install a live Christmas tree?

How to install a Christmas tree using bottles

We take plastic bottles up to 2.5 liters and fill them with water so that they hold the tree.

Turn the bottles over, caps down. Insert the fir tree into the center of the bucket and press the bottles tightly into the bucket.

Add water to the remaining space in the bucket, not too cold, but not warm either.

We cover the tree with a cloth or a special skirt so that the buckets and bottles are not visible. We get a beautiful and sustainable green beauty.

Do not put a fir tree higher than 1.5 meters in the sand, since the bucket may not stand it and turn over.

For large trees, the following method is suitable.

So, fill the bucket with sand mixed with gelatin and glycerin to clean it and give the tree a long life.

New Year's holidays are miracles, gifts and the smell of pine needles with tangerines. Every year you go to buy a winter beauty - a Christmas tree. Having chosen the most beautiful and fluffy one, you rush home to install it. But at home you are wondering how to install a living tree in order to preserve freshness and prolong the holiday. To do this, you must adhere to a number of rules that are indicated in this article.

How to put a live Christmas tree - preparation and rules

Before installing a New Year's beauty, it is necessary to take into account a number of recommendations so that she pleases you with her appearance as long as possible.

  • Do not bring the tree into the house immediately after frost. A sharp temperature drop will negatively affect the needles, which will lead to their rapid fall. First, put the tree in a cool place for 2-3 hours, only then bring it into a warm room.
  • If you want to feel the scent of pine needles on New Year's Eve, install the tree on the day of the holiday. Until then, store it in a cool place such as a balcony or hallway. But do not leave the tree in the cold for a long time.
  • When choosing where to place your tree, keep in mind that the tree does not like warmth. Therefore, place the tree as far away from heating and heating appliances as possible. Otherwise, the needles will quickly dry out and crumble.

How to put a live Christmas tree - installation methods

Each person chooses for himself the most convenient way to install the New Year's beauty. This is either a cross (tripod), or a large container of sand. Regardless of the placement method, there are several peculiarities.

  • Prepare the trunk of the tree. First, cut the lower branches of the needles to the required level. Then remove some of the bark and shape the trunk. The saw cut must be renewed so that the tree can be saturated with moisture.

  • The most common tool for setting up a Christmas tree is a cross. It can be made of wood or welded from metal.

  • If you are using a flat form of fastening, then additionally secure the tree trunk with wedges. For a tripod, tighten the screws as tight as possible. This will allow the tree to stand more stable in the fixture.
  • To prevent the needles from drying out quickly, choose a cross model with a fluid compartment. Do not forget to top up water on time. To facilitate this process, tie the tubing to the top branch and lower it into the reservoir. It is more convenient to fill in water with a watering can.

  • Also, to saturate the tree with moisture, wrap the trunk with a cloth, the end of which is dipped in a jar of water.

Advice. To prevent water from blooming in the reservoir of the device, add a few aspirin tablets to it.

  • Sometimes the tree is placed in a bucket of earth or sand. In this case, it is important to thoroughly tamp the mixture, periodically adding water. Wet sand can better hold the tree trunk. Be sure to keep an eye on the moisture content of the sand, otherwise it will dry out and the tree will fall or bend over.
  • But there is not enough water in the container to keep the needles fresh. Spray the liquid on branches all over the tree twice a day.

How to put a live Christmas tree - making the base

If you did not find the necessary device for installing the Christmas tree on sale, then do it yourself. You will need the following materials and tools:

  • large metal bucket;
  • hooks for installing a clothesline - 4 pcs.;
  • nuts for the diameter of the hooks - 8 pcs.;
  • a plastic container with a smaller diameter than a bucket;
  • garden gravel or crushed stone;
  • drill and drills.

Working process:

  • Holes must be made at the top of the bucket for fasteners. To do this, step back 10 cm from the edge of the container. Visually draw two stripes that converge at the center. On the metal, draw four marks, which should be equidistant from each other. Drill holes to match the diameter of the hooks.

  • To stabilize the structure, fill it with gravel, but only two-thirds. Instead, you can use other material, as long as it has weight.

  • You can pour water into a plastic container that you place on top of the stones. But at the same time stir it up to the level of the holes. Remove excess gravel if necessary.

  • For the stability of the container, fill the space between it and the bucket with small stones. Try to place the gravel as tightly as possible.

  • Screw one nut onto the hook, thread it through the hole in the bucket. Extend the mount to the required distance.

  • From the inside, tighten the second nut as tight as possible against the side of the bucket. Repeat this step for the rest of the hooks.

  • As a result, you should have such a device for installing a living tree.

  • To secure the tree trunk, center it in the plastic container and tighten the hooks evenly on the bucket. At the same time, try to keep the tree strictly vertical.
  • Pour water into the tank last, and remember to add liquid throughout the holidays.
  • You can hang a New Year's garland or tinsel on the hooks. Decorate the outside of the bucket with wrapping paper.

New Year's holidays are approaching and everyone has long been thinking about when the first lights on the holiday tree will light up in their apartments or houses. Indeed, there is very little time left to wait, the markets are already overflowing with different types of Christmas trees of different sizes and from different materials. It seems that there is little to do - choose and install. But in reality, this is not entirely true. A Christmas tree is not only a beautiful, decorated tree, but also a big fall if misused. Therefore, today we want to dwell on the question of how not to spoil our holiday: we put the tree correctly.

Felled spruce: how to properly prepare a tree for installation

After you have visited the Christmas tree market and purchased a fluffy beauty, do not rush to bring her into the apartment. Let her get used to the change in temperature a little, and, if possible, live as long as possible on your balcony, in a cool passer-by or in the garage. We advise you to put the spruce just a few days before the holidays, so it will delight you with its freshness longer.

When you are ready to install the holiday tree, remove a couple of large lower branches (you can also ask the seller in the market to do this), just do not throw it away, but put it aside, they may still come in handy for additional decor. The place of the log house should be updated by sawing off a few centimeters. This will help the wood soak more easily when you put it in there. Before bringing the spruce into the room, knock it several times on the floor, this will help get rid of the already dried needles. In order to prolong the life of a felled tree, we recommend adding a few aspirin tablets or a couple of tablespoons of glycerin to the water, they serve as preservatives that will keep the tree alive for a long time.

Ways to set up a holiday tree

Despite the simplicity of the task, in fact, there are a lot of basic methods (methods) for installing a Christmas tree. Let's dwell on each of them:

- installation in a bucket filled with sand or stones. This method was the most basic a few years ago. Every apartment has always had such a bucket waiting for its time. However, it is now used much less frequently;

- installation in a bucket using bottles filled with water. Not every resident of the city can just find sand, so the use of plastic or glass bottles will be more acceptable;

- installation with a crosspiece. Nowadays, it is quite free to purchase fresh spruce already with a cross-piece installed. But, if you didn’t come across one, or you cut down the tree yourself (only with the appropriate permission), then we will briefly tell you how to make a crosspiece yourself. You will need two bars, which will need to be connected perpendicular to each other. Then we first install a large self-tapping screw at the intersection of the bars, and then screw it tightly into the tree trunk.

- installation using a leg from an office chair. This is the most original and even the most convenient way. If your chair is broken, do not be sad, its "tripod" can be an excellent basis for a festive spruce. And the installation process itself will take no more than five minutes. You just need to insert a tree trunk into the hole of the "tripod" and voila, you get a spruce that can ride.

Choosing a place for a Christmas tree

When thinking about a place for a holiday tree, you need to remember that you need to put the tree in the same way as for small children. The most suitable place will be the far corner of the room, where the movement of households is reduced to a minimum. In addition to safety, it is worth worrying about the "well-being" of the most magnificent beauty. Try to install it as far away from radiators and other heating devices as possible, preferably closer to natural light, otherwise it will turn from a beautiful green tree into a herbarium in a couple of days.

Major mistakes

The rules for using and installing a festive spruce are quite simple, but many still celebrate the New Year in the company of a stale or spoiled tree. In this regard, we would like to once again draw your attention to the most common mistakes:

- setting up felled spruce near heat sources will lead to the fact that it dries quickly, even if it is in water;

- installation of the tree close to the wall... Someone may dispute this statement, because such an arrangement will make the spruce more stable and prevent a possible fall. Agree on the one hand, but on the other hand, the hard branches and needles of the tree can damage the wallpaper and wall paint;

- placing a tree in the middle of the room... Dancing around the winter beauty is undoubtedly fun, but it greatly increases the risk of her falling, and besides, the spruce will simply interfere;

As for the artificial tree, it should be avoided branch spreading errors... After you pull the tree out of the box, you do not need to arrange the branches in an orderly and clearly parallel way, let it be chaotic and slightly sloppy, because this way it will look much more natural.

Where to put the Christmas tree after the holidays?

When all the fun festivities are over and everyday life begins, the question will sharply become what to do with the symbol of the holidays. Do not rush to take the spruce to a landfill or burn it. The needles can serve as an excellent carpeting for indoor plants, become an excellent humus in a compost pit in the garden, or small animals (hedgehogs, mice, frogs) can build houses for themselves.
