Asynchronous motors for general industrial purposes, types A2 and AO2 are designed for continuous operation from a three-phase alternating current network.
Nominal characteristics (power, current, voltage, speed, efficiency) refer to the nominal values of climatic factors external environment and minimum temperatures the environment: -40 ° C during operation and -45 ° C during storage.
Electric motors of all sizes are manufactured with six lead-out ends. Winding connection diagram - "delta", "star" and delta / star at the request of the customer.
The motors are similar to the currently produced AIR series in terms of the degree of protection against environmental influences:
- closed version (IP44) (IP54) made of cast iron (AO2) - from 3 to 9 dimensions;
- closed version (IP44) (IP54) made of aluminum alloys (AOL2) - from 1 to 3 dimensions.
The structure of the designation of the electric motor consists of the designation of the version according to the degree of protection (AO2, AOL2), the designation of the type of electric motor (the first digit denotes serial number overall size, the second - marking of the core length), number of poles, climatic version and category of placement.
An example of a symbol:
AO2-62-4U3 is a closed blown-type electric motor with a frame and shields made of cast iron, size 6, core length 2, four-pole (1500 rpm), climatic version U, location category 3.

For the drive of woodworking machines, asynchronous electric motors of a new series (closed blown and protective) are used. Electric motors of this series with a cast iron body are designated A, and with an aluminum one - AL. The letter O is added to the designation of closed electric motors, denoting that the electric motor is blown (AO, AOL). After the designation A and AL, there are three numbers that characterize the electric motor: the first number indicates the outer diameter of the stator package, the second is the length of this package in conventional units, the third number indicates the number of poles.
Asynchronous motors of a single series are produced for standard voltages of 127/220, 220/380 and 500 V, when the stator windings are connected, respectively: triangle to star, triangle to star and star.
To replace the A and AO series electric motors, a new series of electric motors has been produced since 1961. It has better energy performance, as well as smaller dimensions and weight. The new series of electric motors is indicated with the addition of the number 2 (A2, A02, AK.2, etc.). On the basis of the basic design of A2 and A02 electric motors, modifications of AP2 and AOP2 with increased starting torque are produced; AC2 and AOS2 electric motors with increased slip; electric motors AK2 with phase rotor; motors A2 and A02 are multi-speed.
These electric motors are produced for voltages of 220/380 and 500 V with increased starting torque and squirrel-cage rotor. Closed version, blown. Execution form M-101.
The main technical data of electric motors of the AOP2 series are given in table. 15.

9.9.4. A2, AO2 series multispeed motorsEngines of the A2 and AO2 series were intended to drive mechanisms with stepwise speed control. They were developed on the basis of AM series AOL2 1 - 3 dimensions and AO2 3 - 9 dimensions in the power range from 0.43 to 45 kW. The degree of protection of AD is IP44 in accordance with GOST 17494-72. The rated operating mode is continuous S1 in accordance with GOST 183-74. Technical data of AD series AO2 for nominal
nal mode of operation, depending on the speed, are shown in table. 9.62. The ratio of the minimum torque during start-up to the rated torque when turned on at the highest speed is 1, for other speeds - 0.8.
The main overall, installation and connection dimensions are similar to the corresponding dimensions of the base blood pressure.
The engines were produced in accordance with the requirements of TU 16-510.560-75.
