The candied leaves of mint, lemon balm, geranium are beautiful and very fragrant. Dissolve 12 g of gum arabic with constant stirring in ¼ glass of hot water (in a water bath). Cool the solution. Prepare sugar syrup: 100g sugar in ¼ glass of water. Cool too. Apply the gum arabic solution to the plants with a brush, and then the sugar syrup. I really hope that from these 20 options for artificial snow recipes you were able to find the right one for yourself.

Today, there are many ways to make artificial snow at home.
1. Making snow from soap

Rub white soap (or a candle white) on a grater and mix with baby powder.

2. Making snow from foam

On a grater, you need to grate the foam and sprinkle it on the branches, which must first be smeared with glue. Branches for this can be taken from any tree, and if you add a little sparkle to the foam plastic, then the snow on the branches will sparkle beautifully. This method can be used to decorate spreading and large branches. Snow-covered branches can be decorated with anything, for example, a garland, bows, balls, etc.
3. Snow from diapers

Taking enough diapers, you will have to carefully cut them with scissors and pour the contents - the same sodium polyacrylate - into a previously prepared container. For these purposes, you can take a bucket or a basin, or get by with a smaller container - it will all depend on how much snow you want to end up with. After the contents of the diapers are poured into the container, you should pour some water into it, stir, and wait some time until the sodium polyacrylate absorbs the liquid. If the "snow" looks dry, add some more water and stir again. And so on until the contents of the container look like real snow. To make the artificial snow look like real not only externally, but also to the touch, it is enough to place it in the refrigerator. If the container is too large - in the cold. The main thing is that the temperature is not below zero - in this case, the water will freeze, and our artificial snow will simply turn into ice.
4. Snow from packaging bags (in the photo, comparison with real snow)

You will need:
- foamed polyethylene; (material that is used as packing material for breakable items, as well as inserted into the toes of new shoes to maintain shape.)
- fine grater
- scissors.

It is advisable to work with gloves. With a little effort, we get the following result, but if you are not satisfied with this result, you can experiment further. Let's take a pair of scissors and cut our snow flakes into small pieces.
5 salt frost

We will simulate hoarfrost using salt crystals. It will turn out to be real chemical experiment, and for the kid - a magical transformation. It is better to take coarse salt, then the crystals will be more effective. Salt crystals can be colored by touching up the salt solution with ink, brilliant green, or food dyes.
So. Pour salt into boiling water, let it dissolve completely (proportion: 1 kg of salt per 1.5-2 liters of water). Dip clean and dry twigs into a hot saline solution (this is important). Leave to cool. Then carefully remove the branches and let dry. The frost is ready. The method is convenient for small twigs, dried herbs, dill umbrellas, etc. You can grow salt crystals and Christmas tree decorations... "Frosty" branches look good not only solo, as an independent winter bouquet, but also in New Year's compositions from coniferous branches.

6. Snow from shaving foam

You need to mix about a pack of baking soda with about a can of shaving foam. By kneading a mass of these ingredients, you get a cool, snow-like substance from which snowballs and snows really form.

Dear Readers! What snow recipes do you know? Have you tried making snow with your children yourself? Share your tips in the comments.

Kiev decided that spring had begun. I even found fluffy cats on a willow tree, can you imagine! And Ksyusha has been yearning for snow since summer. she remembered so much that the whole year the baby is waiting for new snow. Well, no - that means you need to do it yourself. In search of the perfect homemade snow, I stumbled upon many interesting recipes, each of which promises to be super duper. Okay, let's try everything. During the day's walk, Serafimka and I went around all the necessary nearby shops and collected a bunch of ingredients.

Ingredients

From all this wealth, I prepared 4 types of artificial snow and recorded a short video review for you, which shows how each snow mixture looks like: does it stick, how loose, smooth is each of them:

Recipe one: "Cold home snow"

Shaving foam snow

Ingredients:

  • Shaving foam

I mixed the components without adhering to any proportion, although the recipe says that you need to take 1 can of foam for 1 pack of soda. I decided to save the foam for two more experiments, so I didn't make artificial snow from the whole can.

This snow turned out to be wet, cold and fragrant (we have a smell of menthol and something else). It is easy to sculpt snowmen from it.

Recipe two: "Fragrant gentle snow"

Snow from baby oil

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/4 cup baby massage oil

Important:

The original recipe suggested taking 1 cup of baby oil for 8 cups of flour. This portion seemed a bit big to me, so I cut it 4 times. You need to knead it thoroughly; for these purposes, you can take an egg whisk.

This recipe made the most delicate homemade snow with pleasant aroma... Suitable for children with very sensitive skin. You can sculpt snowballs and figures from it, just like from the present.

Recipe three: "Very white and crispy snow"

Cornstarch snow

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Important: the presence of oil in the recipe makes it difficult to clean up after the game!

We knead the ingredients very carefully, you can also take a whisk. The result is super crisp, tactile, lively snow that looks a bit like kinetic sand... By the way, this recipe is surprisingly the most economical :) And one more significant plus for mothers of year olds: this snow can be eaten and it is safe!

Fourth recipe: "Do-it-yourself kinetic snow"

Snow made from soda, starch and flour

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

I prepared this snow like this: I mixed soda with cornmeal, added water, then added the right amount of starch (about 1/2 cup). The snow turned out to be very interesting to the touch, some kind of slightly fluid. Cornstarch adds this sensation to it.

How to play with home snow?

  • You can add glitters, snowflakes, food colors, or other little things to every snow.
  • It is worth cooking for games different tools for (rolling pin, plastic knife, spoons, spatulas, molds, stamps, etc.), baby dishes or bottles with liquid paint and spray.
  • You can also invite different characters to the game: animals, Santa Claus, and others.

Instruments

Tidier on a rimmed tray

I do not like to build a children's game according to a specific scenario, so I do not invent any fairy tales in advance. I just create conditions that are conducive to exciting game... The only thing, before each game, I voice some rules, for example: “Do not scatter snow around you, do not walk around the house with a box, use tools in turn, and the like”. Of course, these rules often pass by my girls :) But I think that you still need to say them ...

Simochka sprinkles snow in a mini-bowl with a spoon

Of course, you can bring real snow from the street and play with it. But this magic will not last long. They cannot decorate a Christmas tree, window sills, candles and other details. For this, artificial snow is best suited, which is easy to make at home. In some cases, you can even make snowballs out of it. We have compiled for you a collection of 15 ways to make artificial paraphernalia.

1 snow plasticine

2 cups baking soda, 1 cup cornstarch, 1 or 1/2 cup cold water (see consistency), a few drops of peppermint essential oil (optional), glitter (optional).

2. Snow "slime"

2 cups PVA glue, 1.5 cups hot water, glitter and a few drops of peppermint essential oil to give the slime a frosty aroma and shine. Mix in a small bowl.

In a second bowl, mix 3/4 teaspoon of borax and 1.3 cups of hot water. Combine the contents of both bowls and stir with your hands for a few minutes until the mixture begins to stretch.

3. Snow paint

Shaving cream, PVA school glue, a few drops of peppermint essential oil, glitter.

4. Silk snow

Frozen white soap bars (any brand), cheese grater, glitter, mint essential oil.

Send the soap to the freezer overnight. In the morning, you can take it out one piece at a time and grate it. This will create fluffy snow, which you can add glitter and mint extract to. It molds beautifully, and you can make a snowman or any other figurine.

5. Snow dough

Cornstarch, lotion (put everything in the refrigerator overnight to keep it cold), glitter. Stir to the desired consistency.

6. "Liquid" snow

Frozen cornstarch, ice water, peppermint essential oil, glitter.

You need to add ice water to the starch that you took out of the freezer until the desired consistency is obtained. It is recommended to add a little to prevent the "snow" from getting too thin.

7. Snow from shaving foam

1 can of shaving foam, 1.5 packs of baking soda, glitter (optional). Squeeze the contents of the foam can into a bowl and gradually add the baking soda. You will have a very nice mass of snow from which you can sculpt figures.

8. Snow made of foamed polyethylene

Foamed polyethylene or polystyrene; fine grater. We work with gloves. Grind polyethylene or polystyrene on a grater and ... Voila! You have fluffy flakes all over your house! If you add sparkles, then the snow will also sparkle. You can sprinkle anything you want with this snow, if you first grease the surface with liquid PVA glue.

9. Snow from polymer clay

Remains of dried polymer clay (plastic), grind it with your hands, and then with a coffee grinder. It turns out a light and multi-colored (when using colored clay) snowball, which can be used to decorate postcards and other hand-made products.

10. Snow from a baby diaper

To get snow, you need to cut the diaper and remove the sodium polyacrylate from it, and then tear it into small pieces. Put the resulting mass in a container and fill it with water. Pour in gradually, in small portions, until the pieces of polyacrylate begin to resemble snow. Just don't overdo it, or it will get too wet. To make the snow look more realistic, place the container in the refrigerator, but not in the freezer.

11. Frost from salt

Salt (preferably coarsely ground), water. Preparing a concentrated salt solution. To do this, fill the pan with a little water and set it on low heat. Add salt until it stops dissolving. We dip the branches of a spruce, pine or any other plant in a hot solution and leave for a while. The crystal formation process is much faster in warm water. Let the water drain and leave the plants to dry for 4-5 hours. Sparkling frost is guaranteed to you! If you add brilliant green, food dyes or ink to a salt solution, then the frost will turn out to be colored.

12. Artificial snow for the "snow globe"

The paraffin candle must be grated on a fine grater. This "snow" is great for making toys "a la snowball" when glycerin and artificial snow flakes are added to the water. The container is hermetically closed and when shaken, the snow smoothly sinks to the bottom.

13. Snow from PVA and flock

Flock is a finely chopped pile. And if you are lucky enough to find a white flock pack on sale - good luck! After all, now you will get "snow" for any craft in a matter of minutes. It is enough to generously grease the surface with glue and sprinkle with flock on top (you can use a strainer).

14. Snow from PVA and starch

2 tablespoons of starch, 2 tablespoons of PVA, 2 tablespoons of silver paint. Mix (grind) the ingredients thoroughly. Such snow is suitable when you need to decorate the surface of the product with a voluminous white mass.

15. Mass simulating snow

Fine quartz sand (available at the pet store, filler for chinchillas), semolina or foam crumbs, white acrylic, thick PVA, glitter (optional).

Pour a small amount of the material of your choice into a bowl, about 1 glass. We begin to gradually add white acrylic paint to it (it is better to buy it in a hardware store for facade work). Add until the free-flowing particles stick together, but do not float in the liquid. Then add PVA, preferably thick, also quite a bit, so that the mixture is elastic and viscous. Well, and some silver sequins. We mix everything and ... that's it!

We hope you find a suitable recipe for yourself and arrange a snow fairy tale with the children at home. Well, if it didn't work out, don't worry, there is a 16th, secret recipe - buy a ready-made snow remedy and just add water.
