Features of preparing crackers

  • Crackers can be made from any bread and even sweet buns.

  • white or black bread - 4 slices;
  • garlic – 3 cloves;
  • salt - to taste;
  • oregano – 1 tsp;
  • sunflower oil – 3 tbsp.

Make garlic croutons according to instructions:

  • Take slices of bread and cut into cubes. Black can be cut into smaller pieces, while white will produce larger pieces.
  • Pass the garlic cloves through a press and put them in a food bag. Add oregano, vegetable oil and approximately 1/3 tsp. salt. Throw in pieces of bread, inflate the bag and tie it.

  • loaf or bun – 1 pc.;
  • sugar - to taste;
  • butter – 100 g.

We will prepare sweet crackers for tea in the following way:

  • Cut the loaf or bun into thin slices. Soften the butter a little in a warm place and spread it on the bread.
  • Sprinkle the slices with sugar to your liking. Place the bread on a baking sheet and place it in the oven to dry.

To get spicy croutons, we will use the Khmeli-Suneli seasoning, and olive oil, which we will use instead of sunflower oil, will make the snack piquant. Let's prepare the following ingredients:

  • white loaf – 0.5 pcs.;
  • olive oil – 4 tbsp;
  • seasoning “Khmeli-suneli” – 1 tbsp;
  • salt - to taste.

We make crackers this way:

  • Cut the bread into cubes and pour into a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and seasoning.
  • Mix the cubes, distributing the spices among them.

  • sweet or hot ground paprika 1 tsp.

How to make homemade crackers with garlic

Bread for croutons should be dry and stale. Ideally, it should lie for 2 days. Otherwise, there are no restrictions: it can be a loaf, bran bread or a loaf. If desired, you can cut off the crust and use only the crumb. But if upper layer not very rough and dense, then you can leave it.


  1. Cut the bread into small cubes measuring 1x1x1 cm. You can give them an oblong shape in the form of cubes measuring 1x1x2 cm. It is not recommended to make the crackers larger, because then they can dry out poorly and will not be crispy.

  2. Place all pieces in a clean plastic bag. First you need to check that there are no holes in it.

  3. Salt the bread cubes.

  4. Add ground paprika.

  5. Pour in vegetable oil.

  6. Squeeze a clove of garlic or sprinkle the cubes with garlic powder. You can add any other spices if you wish ( spices, chilli, ready mixture for chicken, etc.)

  7. After this, the bag must be tied, releasing the air from it. In such an airtight package, the bread must be thoroughly mixed with spices. They should be evenly saturated with oil and seasonings.

  8. Then you can untie the bag and pour the cubes onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  9. They should be placed in a cold oven, set to 120 degrees. In 20 minutes, homemade garlic croutons will be ready.
