Which floor covering in the nursery have you chosen? Share your opinion with us! Soft floor for children's rooms: how to create comfort and healthy conditions at a reasonable cost

The safety and comfort of children is the first concern of parents. The floor usually raises the most questions: which covering to choose so that it is warm, soft, but at the same time so that dust does not collect? While there is only one option - a soft floor for children's rooms and EVA foam polymer.

Soft floor in the nursery - comfortable and safe

What is it made of

A soft floor for children's rooms was made from a copolymer of ethyl vinyl acetate - EVA or in the Russian version EVA. This copolymer foams, small bubbles are created in it, which give softness, elasticity and thermal insulation properties. Technological processes for obtaining this material are not so important as its characteristics. The most important of them are:

The result is an almost ideal floor covering for a child's room, and experience confirms this. If we talk about small children, it is important for them that the surface of the soft floor is non-slip. On such a flooring, they learn to crawl and then walk without any problems. For crawling children, the handles remain warm, and there are no red marks on the knees - the surface is elastic and at the same time not rigid.

Children on the modular floor are not cold

The elasticity of the surface softens the impacts well. Small children often fall, which worries parents. With a soft floor, you don't have to worry, as the shock-absorbing properties soften the impact much. The degree of amortization depends on the thickness of the coating. It can be from 5 mm to 10 mm (the thicker, the softer, but the density still matters).

Release form

Soft floors for children's rooms are produced in the form of modules of different sizes. They are connected to each other with a lock - like puzzles. The design features gave several more names for this flooring: modular floor or underfloor heating puzzle. All this is a soft floor in the nursery.

Soft floor puzzle modules have different sizes:

The thickness of the mats may also vary: from 5 mm to 10 mm. There are various colors - monochromatic, wood-like, stone-like, with numbers, images of animals, flowers, with images of cartoon characters, with graphic drawings. There is even a fleecy covering, reminiscent of carpet, in different colors with different pile lengths. It will not work for small children, but for grown-ups it is easy. You can use the same coating in the hallway and in other rooms.

How is going

Modular elements of the soft floor in the nursery are connected by means of protrusions and recesses - locks. Align the edges of the two modules, insert them one into the other, slightly stretch them to the sides. When laying the covering, note that one of the corners looks like an arrow; try to lay the tiles so that these arrows point in one direction. This is especially important when assembling coatings with a textured surface (there are grooves, wavy lines, with a rough-pimpled upper part).

The soft modular floor can be laid on any flat surface. You can not fasten it with anything - it almost does not slip, but if you wish, you can fix it on double sided tape... When used in gyms or other similar premises, the modules are glued with polymer glue.

The soft-surface tiles are supplied with an edge tape that covers the uneven edge. It just slips over the edge. This system has one drawback: curious little children all the time remove this tape, getting to the locks.

Care and operating experience

As mentioned earlier, the material does not accumulate static electricity, therefore dust does not stick to it. The soft floor for children's rooms is wiped with a damp cloth, you can use a detergent for dishes. If such cleaning no longer helps, the rug is disassembled and washed in the bathroom, waiting for the water to drain (it is not absorbed), then reassembled. There is another possibility - to lay the modular floor in dishwasher and start the mode with a temperature not higher than 55 ° C.

The paints are resistant, do not fade or fade for a long time. If we talk about colors, then yellow dirt is the most visible, but it is understandable - the lightest color.

Another nice feature of the soft modular coating: spilled liquids and oils are not absorbed into the pores, they do not spread. They can be easily wiped off with a dry cloth, after which there are no traces left. Even pencils, paints, felt-tip pens and plasticine are removed without a trace - and no significant effort is required. Just do not use abrasive products (powders). They scratch the surface, degrading the properties of the coating.

Many parents worry if young children can bite off a piece of the cover. It is impossible to guarantee that they will not try it "to the teeth", but that is what they will not bite off - that's for sure. You can try it yourself. The material is very elastic, if you manage to tear it, then with great difficulty.

Soft flooring for children's rooms is good not only for toddlers. For schoolchildren, you can choose neutral colors - they are both under parquet and in the form of carpet. The comfort of such a floor is much higher than that of the same carpet. And its undoubted plus is that it does not collect dust and is easily removed.

One of the flooring options is a soft floor for a kid's room, which serves as a great alternative to carpets. Such a "mosaic" of polymer compounds is created and is able to withstand heavy loads, so more and more consumers give their preference to it.

Nice, bright and comfortable

Modern technologies allowed to develop a new safe material, which is made using EVA technology and is used for soft floors. It contains ethylene vinyl acetate, microporous polymer and other elements. The coating has high resistance to mechanical damage and flexibility.

And also to positive sides soft floor puzzles for children include:

  • lack of any smell;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • does not cause allergic reactions;
  • has the effect of "warm floors" and excellent sound insulation;
  • such a coating is not affected by moisture;
  • easy to remove dirt;
  • it is enough to replace one module if its integrity is damaged.

V European countries soft flooring is used in kindergartens more often than natural wood or ceramics. Indeed, in addition to the above advantages, a child playing on beautiful floor, there is practically no chance of getting a bruise or abrasion.

Features and types of flooring in the nursery

Soft floor for children's rooms - individual elements that are assembled into a common mosaic. The parts are connected using a special coupler, which ensures the reliability and strength of the coating. This type of connection is considered to be a "dovetail".

The rug can fill the floor even in rooms with non-standard dimensions.It serves not only as insulation and softening, but also as a kind of toy that develops the thinking of kids.

Manufacturers distinguish several variations of soft floors for children's rooms:

  • educational, where puzzles contain the alphabet or geometric shapes;
  • the animal world ("zoo");
  • "City", this option helps children to get acquainted with the traffic rules on the road;
  • A "map" where you can find out about different countries and their location;
  • play, for example, classics;
  • a classic pattern that you can independently combine at your own discretion.

Such a coating can be found not only in children's rooms. Today, there are various design solutions that allow you to lay puzzles in offices or other rooms, performing the role of noise and heat insulation, as well as serving as decorative elements.

In apartments, such rugs can be found on the balcony or near the bed, as well as in any room where they fit the overall design.

  • A good option is puzzles with additional moisture resistance and immunity ultraviolet rays, such parts will not fade over time and will not deteriorate if liquid is spilled on them.

Among all the variety of manufacturers on domestic market several firms can be distinguished:

  • BABYPOL, products are equipped with additional thermal insulation components;
  • Eco-polymers, rugs of this manufacturer can be transformed into cubes and assembled houses for children;
  • MD Taiwan, modules have increased strength due to the addition of plasticizers.

Such a coating will interest a child at any age, the ability to use elements as a constructor will appeal to older children, and bright colours attract kids. At the same time, you can choose shades for other rooms and even for office premises.

Original options for children: photo examples

To make your choice, which will be right and will please your kids, here are some examples. perfect coverage in the form of a soft puzzle in combination with drawings on the walls or overall design premises:

The nursery is multifunctional room where the kid plays, learns, sleeps. When choosing a floor covering for a nursery, you need to pay attention to the practicality, environmental friendliness of the material and its appearance.

Choosing a floor covering for a nursery

Before you make a floor in a nursery, you should read the recommendations of experts overseeing children's health and development. In their opinion, the coating must necessarily comply with the following parameters:

  • do not cause allergic reactions;
  • do not build up static voltage;
  • not be flammable and flammable.

Also, the floor in the children's room should be warm and beautiful. It is advisable to purchase a durable material that is easy to clean and that has an affordable cost.

In order to determine exactly which floor is better to put in the children's room, you should familiarize yourself in more detail with the materials that are more or less suitable for the existing requirements. Such coatings are carpet, linoleum, laminate, parquet, cork, PVC tiles.

Parquet board

Wood flooring, parquet in particular, has always been considered the best option for living spaces. Material advantages:

  • durability;
  • heat resistance;
  • resistance to mechanical damage;
  • environmental friendliness.

Fits perfectly into any interior. Psychologists believe that an ash parquet board has a beneficial effect on the psyche of a child. The only disadvantage of the coating is the high cost.

The main advantage of the laminate is the variety of colors. You can choose a covering similar to parquet or solid wood. If parents want to give the children's room a bright and elegant look, then a huge assortment of laminate tones and textures will contribute to this. Material advantages:

  • impact resistance;
  • resistance to deformation;
  • ease of cleaning;
  • antistatic;
  • heat resistance.

- This is a budget floor covering, the cost of which is influenced by the class of material and the manufacturing technology of a particular sample.

Linoleum

The main advantage of linoleum is its cost-effectiveness. The material has a wide range of colors and many design solutions. Linoleum is based on and without a base. There are types of linoleum made from natural ingredients. In addition to other advantages, the material is perfectly washable, cleanable and does not accumulate dust. Perfect for rooms with a "warm floor" system.

PVC tiles

PVC tiles are a worthy alternative to linoleum. The material has the properties of linoleum, has different sizes and colors. Tiles are also laid in several ways:

  • glue;
  • using a locking system.

The second option is better suited for a child's room.

Note! The locking system allows you to easily mount the tiles, as a result, in case of damage, the damaged fragment can be quickly and easily replaced.

One of the most environmentally friendly and useful coatings is cork flooring. The cork has bactericidal properties, which distinguishes it from other coatings. Material advantages:

  • strength;
  • soundproofing;
  • heat resistance;
  • antistatic;
  • moisture resistance;
  • softness;
  • ease of cleaning.

Note! Cork flooring is 100% suitable for a nursery according to orthopedic surgeons. The elasticity of the material reduces the stress on the skeleton of the child taking the first steps. But the cork is very expensive.

Carpet

For the installation of a soft floor in a nursery, carpet is perfect, which is considered the most comfortable and warm covering. This material will allow the child to play on the floor for a long time, but only if the child does not have a tendency to allergic reactions. When choosing between natural and synthetic coatings, you must remember that synthetics can provoke an allergy attack. The downside of carpet is that it is difficult to clean and wash compared to other coverings. In order to make cleaning easier and more accessible, you should choose a carpet with a short pile. Jute-based carpets are perfectly cleaned. They are antistatic and non-flammable.

Carpets with a plot image will look very nice. Cars, streets, nature, fairy-tale characters painted on the surface will not let the child get bored.

The new type of polymer-based (EVA) flooring has properties similar to rubber: resilience and softness.

Material advantages:

  • resistance to low and high temperatures;
  • mobility - assembled and disassembled like a puzzle;
  • ease of cleaning;
  • moisture resistance;
  • durability.

The soft floor is easy to install. The tile has original design, which will not leave the kid indifferent. The downside is the rapid wear of the coating under heavy loads.

Coating color

There are no specific requirements for the color of the flooring in the nursery. It is advisable, listening to the recommendations of doctors, not to choose a white glossy surface or overly bright colors. Such a floor will provide negative impact on the psyche of the baby.

  1. The most common mistake among caring parents is the installation of warm floors with electric heating in the children's room. Together with the possibility of spending a long time on the floor, they "give" unnecessary electromagnetic background, which is harmful to the child's body.
  2. When buying a carpet for a children's room, it should be borne in mind that a covering, laid with one large carpet, will make wet cleaning an inaccessible event. It is much better to lay carpets or round carpet in the center of the room.
  3. Parquet floors do not like frequent wet cleaning. Under the influence of moisture, it very quickly loses color and deforms. According to hygiene requirements, wet cleaning in the baby's room should be done daily. Therefore, the parquet is not the best the best choice for the nursery.

When choosing a floor covering for a baby's room, one should not always pay attention to the cost of the material. The high price does not always guarantee that the purchased product will be environmentally friendly and with high strength and safety.

Floor covering is one of the main elements of the interior of a modern children's room. It should be safe, reliable, beautiful and warm. Give preference to environmentally friendly materials - taking care of your baby's health is more important than worrying about the cost of coverage.

Basic requirements for floor coverings for children

The room where small family members live is significantly different from other premises of an apartment or house. Parents should consider a large number of factors when equipping children's floors. For the nursery, the following nuances can be noted:

  1. High level of dynamic load. Kids jump, run, play a lot.
  2. High probability of liquid spillage on the coating surface. It can be juice or water for painting.
  3. During outdoor games, chips, scratches and abrasions may appear on the surface.
  4. One of the favorite childhood activities is drawing with felt-tip pens. But the marble streaks left by these stationery do not adorn the floors at all. Therefore, the floor in the children's room must have a high level of resistance to stains and abrasion.

Certain requirements are also imposed on the quality and performance characteristics of materials:

  1. Environmental Safety. Coverings that release toxic fumes into the air can cause your child to develop asthma or allergic reactions.
  2. Amortization of steps. Experts do not recommend equipping too hard floors in the children's room. They are quite dangerous for the health of babies. A hard surface can provoke the development of flat feet and will be a serious strain on the child's spine.
  3. The floor in the nursery should not be slippery.

Finding a floor covering for a children's bedroom that would satisfy all of the above points is quite difficult. Manufacturers offer potential buyers a large selection of flooring materials, but each of them has its own special advantages and disadvantages. When choosing suitable option parents should focus their attention not only on the pros, but also on those shortcomings with which they are willing to accept. Remember that the choice of coverage is also influenced by the age of the child. For example, for babies it is better to choose washable materials, while older children can lay a carpet with a long, fluffy pile on the floor.

Parquet for the nursery

This is perhaps the best option in terms of environmental safety. But it is also one of the most expensive. Parquet is made of natural wood and has the following advantages:

  • a wide variety of colors, textures and shapes;
  • excellent wear resistance;
  • low level of thermal conductivity;
  • excellent sound insulation.

Parquet boards damaged during operation can be repaired and put in order without complicated dismantling. But for all the advantages listed above and the absence of disadvantages, parents will have to pay a decent amount.

Laminate in the nursery

The material is made from compressed wood waste, interconnected with resin. From above, the coating is laminated with a film. It is relative a budget option, among the advantages of which are:

  • practicality;
  • strength;
  • beautiful appearance.

As for environmental safety, everything here depends on the price category of materials. If you give preference to the cheapest laminate, then you can find melanin-formaldehyde resins in its composition. A quality laminate that costs a little more is completely safe for babies. It is best if the coating is based on an advanced acrylic resin.

Cork floor in the nursery

Cork is a useful and environmentally friendly coating. The material has bactericidal properties. The advantages include:

  • strength;
  • moisture resistance;
  • softness;
  • ease of care.

According to orthopedists, cork floors are the best floors for a children's room. This elastic material is able to reduce the stress on the skeleton of the baby, which is taking its first steps. But cork is an expensive material that not all parents can afford.

Linoleum in the nursery

This material is the most popular among buyers. The high demand is due to its low price. On sale presented the widest choice design and color solutions... There is linoleum, which is made only from natural, high-quality materials. Experts advise using this option for a children's room. Cheap linoleum is toxic and can harm a child's health.

Carpet in the nursery

It is considered the softest, warmest and most comfortable coating. If you lay a carpet in the room, then the baby will be able to spend a lot of time playing on the floor. But when choosing a children's carpet, you need to be careful and prudent. Carpets are not suitable for children with allergies or asthma. The disadvantages include the fact that the coating is difficult to clean. If parents choose carpet, then preference should be given to models with a short pile. Kids love baby floor rugs that feature fairytale characters, cars or nature.

In the children's room, you can combine floor coverings. For example, on linoleum or parquet flooring, you can lay a small rug on which the child will play with his favorite toys.

On top of the screed is a plasticizer. Then plywood on mastic (in no case on bitumen !!!) Then laminate / plywood something there, then carpet. Otherwise, through the cracks in the plywood, dust will make its way onto the carpet, and the child is probably crawling along it ...

In general, you can and should install it.
Looks like a decent laminate (for example, cedar or Amazonian red pine) I like much more than boards.

Put the child on the floor. ... A child from birth to one year. First, I put a foam mattress on the floor, a woolen blanket on top and let it go there. When the nursery learned to crawl, it turned into a large playpen: the floor is covered with mattresses and along the walls ...

Discussion

Take a small candle and carry it near the floor for a week, look for where it is blowing. Several days, because the wind direction changes. When you fix everything or find out what is not very blowing, calmly release it. If there are no carpets, then wear warmer and on a warm blanket. Although, in fact, on a hard surface (with a thin blanket), crawling and turning over is more convenient. The habitat can be limited to diane pillows.

My daughter, on her "crawling reflex", sometimes got away quite far, while I was not looking. A little older, already being able to crawl, crawled under the sofa, so we could not get it, and she was crying there :))

By the way, you will soon need to call a masseur. Then the child will move much more confidently.

I started putting my daughter on the floor from 4.5 months. At that time she started on all fours, but it is not comfortable on our bed, all the same softly, and even scary, she can fall.
First, I put a foam mattress on the floor, a woolen blanket on top and let it go there.
When the nursery learned to crawl, it turned into a large playpen: the floor was covered with mattresses and couch pillows were placed along the walls.
I dress her warmer: a flannel blouse, flannel slides with bosom (she crawls out of the usual panties), warm socks and a woolen sweater on the legs.
Beauty-ahh! :-))
And at the expense of the crib where the baby sleeps, it is better not to leave the baby to play in it. The crib should be associated with sleep.

In any normal family, parents try to make the life of their children as comfortable as possible. Even in small apartments adults, often to the detriment of their own conveniences, seek to provide their children with a separate room. And of course, equip it so that the room is cozy, beautiful, comfortable and, we’re not afraid to say, interesting for children. In the foreground, in addition to this, there are always issues of security.

The traditional playground for children is the floor, which means that its covering should be given Special attention... One of the solutions is a soft floor for children's rooms, which can make these rooms comfortable and safe for children of any age. Manufacturers supply various soft floor coverings to the market today. But in order to select material for the room where the child will constantly be, it is necessary to take into account the criteria that he must meet.

The carpet, which once rapidly entered into everyday life, soon showed its inconsistency - it has too many shortcomings. And recommending it for a nursery is hardly reasonable. But you can consider more modern options... Thus, the EVA composite polymer coating is gaining more and more popularity. This material is used for the manufacture of rugs, mats, household accessories, orthopedic and ordinary shoes, children's toys and even in dentistry, which in itself speaks of its environmental safety. This soft coating and its application for the children's room will be discussed in this publication.

The room set aside for the children's room is always finished with materials that must meet some important criteria. They should become key when choosing. The floor covering is no exception.

When purchasing material, you should pay attention to the following factors:

  • Environmental safety of the coating. The material must not contain toxic components that will release substances hazardous to the health of the child into the environment.
  • The coating should not cause allergic reactions, even with a predisposition to it.
  • Trauma safety. The coating should not be too hard or slippery.
  • Heat and sound insulation. The coating should provide high level thermal insulation, since the child spends a long time on the floor. The ability of the material to muffle the sounds from running and jumping of the baby will help keep good relationship with the neighbors on the ground floor.
  • Hygiene and ease of cleaning. The coating material should be easy to clean from dirt, both with dry and wet cleaning and also not to attract dust.

  • Aesthetics and functionality of the coating. A children's room should not only be bright and beautiful, but also have accessories that will help kids understand colors, letters and numbers, as well as develop hand motor skills faster.

From the above criteria, we can conclude that the materials are quite strict requirements. Therefore, in order to be confident in your choice, when purchasing material, it is necessary to evaluate not only external qualities. You should never hesitate to ask the seller for a hygienic certificate for a product.

Main characteristics of soft coating

The soft modular covering is made of a polymer composite - ethylene vinyl acetate, produced from copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate. In another way, this material is designated by the abbreviation EVA or, in Russian spelling, EVA-polymer.

EVA polymers have the following physical, technical and operational characteristics:

  • The material is quite lightweight. Thus, the specific weight of the coating is 1.1 ÷ 2.4 kg / m², depending on the thickness of the coating, which is almost four times less than the weight of PVC.
  • EVA polymer has a high coefficient of elasticity, elasticity and flexibility, which contributes to good cushioning.
  • The environmental safety of the material is important. It is odorless and does not emit toxic substances into the air.
  • The softness of the coating. According to the Shor stiffness table, the parameter is 30 ÷ 50 units, which is quite enough to prevent serious injuries when a child falls.
  • The coating has high wear resistance and resistance to mechanical damage.
  • The porosity of the polymer provides high heat and sound insulation of the floor. So, its thermal conductivity coefficient is only 0.04 W / (m × K), which is comparable to highly efficient insulation materials.
  • The material is not slippery, which also reduces the risk of injury and helps to maintain balance during outdoor games.
  • EVA-polymer is not electrified, therefore, the risk of weak discharges during cleaning with a vacuum cleaner is excluded.
  • Operational temperature regime, at which the material retains its integrity, ranges from -80 ° C to + 85 ° C. That is, in any theoretically possible conditions.
  • Characterized by high resistance to impact chemical substances, the polymer is not destroyed by oils, solvents, as well as any household detergents.
  • EVA plastics are hypoallergenic materials, as they do not contain substances that can cause allergic reactions.
  • The coating does not absorb moisture, does not become a breeding ground for the development of mold or colonies of other pathogenic microflora.
  • There is a high resistance to ultraviolet radiation... The material does not undergo destructuring from it, and the saturation of the colors of the modules will remain for the entire period of operation.
  • The main performance characteristics of the soft coating do not change during the entire period of its intensive use.

  • The modular covering has, so to speak, mobility, therefore, if necessary, it can be dismantled and moved to another room. In addition, if mechanical damage occurs, the segment can be easily replaced with a new one.
  • Despite the softness and flexibility of the coating, the child will not be able to bite off a piece from it, which is also extremely important for the safety of the baby.

  • The variety of aesthetic design allows you to choose the coating for a specific age of the child.

Why is EVA polymer better than other coatings?

A few words must also be said about why it is preferable to choose ethylene vinyl acetate for covering the floor of a children's room. To do this, knowing its characteristics, you need to compare it with other traditional materials.

As a child grows and develops, it is quite difficult to restrict his activity, therefore, in order to avoid injury, and also to prevent hypothermia, many parents lay carpets or blankets on the floors. However, it is difficult to cover the entire area of the room with such a product, which does not exclude the baby from leaving this conditionally safe zone. In addition, fabric or carpet mats can slide on laminate, linoleum or other smooth surfaces, which, on the contrary, will provoke dangerous situations.

The fleecy surfaces of carpets, as well as the fabric, attract dust masses well, which is almost impossible to completely remove from them. Such contamination is a source of accumulation and development of dust mites and other microorganisms that cause allergic reactions that can become chronic.

In addition, both blankets and carpets do not have such high thermal insulation qualities, in this regard, the child may be hypothermic from frequent stay on the floor.

For all of the listed positions, EVA coating is much safer, and is best suited for children's rooms.

How to choose a quality soft finish?

It should be noted right away that soft flooring for a nursery differs from modular flooring used for flooring in office premises, shops and other public places. The difference lies not only in appearance modules, but also in the composition of the material from which they are made. Therefore, the coverage, chosen thoughtlessly, without taking into account important features, only on first impression or for reasons of affordability, may become unsafe for a small child.

In order not to be mistaken and choose a really high-quality material with the required characteristics, it is worth considering some recommendations:

  • Coverage cost. You should not buy material that has a price below the market average. Most likely, the products are made from a cheaper polymer and, possibly, in semi-artisanal conditions, where compliance with standards or at least technical conditions is out of the question. Too low a price is always a reason to doubt the environmental friendliness of the coating, as well as the compliance of its technical characteristics with the declared indicators.
  • Whenever possible, you should choose products that are made by a manufacturer that has proven itself in the market.
  • The material must be free of foreign odors. Almost all coatings made in China have an unpleasant, pronounced "aroma", which indicates their dubious quality. It is best to refuse such products, since they clearly contain toxic components.
  • The covering for the children's room must be accompanied by certificates of quality and hygiene.

  • In order not to purchase a counterfeit, it is imperative to buy modules sealed in packaging, in each of which the manufacturer puts instructions, and where all the details of the company must be indicated.
  • If a monochromatic coating is purchased, you need to pay attention to the production batch number. It should be identical on different packs, since modules from different batches may, although not very much, still differ in shade intensity.

Varieties of soft flooring

When choosing a soft coating for a children's room, you need to take into account that it exists modular options, assembled according to the principle of puzzles, and made in the form of "carpets" of a relatively large area.

In addition to such models, EVA coatings are produced for ordinary rooms, gyms, as well as orthopedic types, which are also well suited for a children's room.

Elastic EVA modules of increased rigidity have been developed for rooms with increased intensity of movement of people. As a rule, such material is produced in monochrome or with a pattern applied to the surface that imitates the texture of a board or other wood-based coating (parquet, laminate, etc.)

Modules different types differ in their linear parameters:

  • Modular coatings for children's rooms usually have a segment size of 300 × 300 or 330 × 330 mm, the thickness of the modules can be 9 ÷ 10 mm.
  • Soft modules of increased rigidity, designed for rooms with increased intensity of movement of people, can have a size of 400 × 400 or 500 × 500 mm and a thickness of 10 ÷ 12 mm.
  • Soft flooring for sports halls is produced with a module size of 1000 × 1000 mm and a thickness of 20 ÷ 40 mm.
  • One-piece flooring is made both in the form of small rugs and large carpets with a size of 2000 × 1800 mm and a thickness of 10 mm.

  • The orthopedic modular covering is made up of "puzzles" measuring 250 × 250 mm.

Soft Surface Care

The soft modular floor does not accumulate static electricity, so it does not attract dust. However, any material still requires periodic cleaning. Soft coating is no exception.

Cleaning can be done in several ways:

  • Dry cleaning with a vacuum cleaner.
  • Wet cleaning with a damp cloth. In this case, a detergent for children's dishes can be used.
  • Heavily soiled modules are soaked in the bath and then cleaned with a medium-hard brush. Then the modules are installed on the grate and water is allowed to drain from them. After that, the covering can be re-laid on the floors.
  • Some housewives, having shown ingenuity, making work easier and saving time, adapted for washing modules dishwasher... However, you should not be zealous with the temperature, it should not be higher than 55 degrees. The modules must be installed vertically on the washer net.

In the manufacture of the coating, persistent dyes are used, so bright colors do not lose their intensity throughout the entire period of operation, including even after washing the modules in the dishwasher.

The material does not absorb moisture - any liquids spilled on it, be it oil or water, do not spread over the surface, so they can be easily removed with a highly absorbent cloth. At the same time, no traces remain on the coating.

Traces from crayons, markers and felt-tip pens are also well removed from the surface. It is not imprinted on the floors of the material and plasticine - it is without special efforts peels off the surface.

Cannot be used to clean soft floors detergents containing abrasive substances. They can damage the surface and degrade its quality.

The material is soft, but very elastic, so it is difficult to tear or damage it with sharp objects. During teething, babies pull into their mouths and bite literally everything indiscriminately. If a cover with removable elements is chosen, then they will also have a “fate to be bitten”. Traces may remain on them, but the child will not be able to bite off a piece, the poet, and from this side the material is safe.

* * * * * * *

As you can see from the presented characteristics, the soft floor is suitable for rooms where children live. of different ages... So, it is convenient for babies up to one year old to learn to crawl on the surface, and then walk and keep balance, develop motor skills and logic. The coating is excellent for active games and sports for older children.

Parents can rest assured about the safety of their child. Even falling during the game, he will not receive serious injuries, and also will not breathe dust, which is abundant in other soft textile coverings.

And further. It is also interesting that some soft modular rugs for children younger age are also equipped with sound devices. For example, imitating the sounds made by certain animals. It is difficult to say how justified it is, but at first the child will certainly like this “option”.
