HOW TO APPLY TO THE MOSCOW Suvorov Military School?

Wearing a Suvorov uniform is a great honor that many boys dream of. But, unfortunately, those wishing to study at MSVU often have very unclear ideas about the procedure for admission.

  • Who is eligible to enter Suvorov School?
  • In accordance with the instructions (Appendix No. 1 to the order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation of January 15, 01 No. 29), underage male citizens of the Russian Federation no older than 15 years old (as of December 31) can enter Suvorov military schools and cadet (sea cadet) corps year of admission), who graduated from the 8th grade of a general education institution, respectively, in the year of admission, meeting the requirements of a professional psychological selection and physical fitness.
  • The boy decided to become a Suvorovite. Where should he go first?
  • To the local military office. There, he and his parents will be helped to fill out an application correctly and will accept Required documents.
  • What documents and in what terms should be submitted in order to be admitted to the exams?
  • An application (report) is submitted by the parents (persons replacing them) about the candidate’s desire to enter the school, which stipulates their consent to send the young man after the end of the SVU for further education in one of the military universities of the Ministry of Defense. The following documents are attached to the application:
  1. Personal statement of the candidate addressed to the head of the school;
  2. Certified copy of birth certificate;
  3. Autobiography;
  4. A student's report card with grades for three quarters of the current academic year, certified by the official seal of the school, indicating the foreign language being studied;
  5. Pedagogical characteristics signed by the class teacher and the principal of the school, certified by the official seal;
  6. Medical report on the state of health and suitability of the student for admission to the SVU, issued by the military medical commission at the military registration and enlistment office
  7. Four photographs 3 x 4 in size (without a headdress, with a place for a seal in the lower right corner);
  8. A copy of the medical insurance policy, certified by a notary;
  9. Certificate from the place of residence of the parents indicating the composition of the family and living conditions;
  10. Certificate from the place of work on the nature of the labor activity of the parents (persons replacing them);
  11. Documents confirming the candidate's right to preferential admission to the school (if any).

All these documents must be submitted between April 15 and May 15 of the year of receipt.

The original birth certificate and report card for the eighth grade are presented by the candidate to the admissions office of the school upon arrival for the entrance exams.

  • Who is eligible for preferential admission to SU?
  • Minor citizens - orphans, as well as minor citizens left without parental care, entering the school, are enrolled without exams based on the results of an interview and a medical examination.

Out of competition, with a positive passing of exams at the school, the following are credited:

  1. Children of servicemen undergoing military service under a contract and having a total duration military service 20 years or more;
  2. Children of citizens transferred to the reserve after they have achieved military service duties, for health reasons or in connection with organizational and staff activities, the total duration of military service of which is 20 years or more;
  3. Children of military personnel who died in the performance of military service duties or died as a result of injury (wounds, injuries, contusions), or diseases received by them in the performance of military service duties;
  4. Children of military personnel serving in zones of military conflicts;
  5. Children of military personnel brought up without a mother (father)

  • When do the entrance exams to MSVU begin and what tests await applicants?
  • Exams are held from 1 to 15 August. Candidates write a dictation in Russian, test in mathematics, undergo a medical examination and are tested for psychological and physical readiness for learning. Those who received positive marks in the exams and passed the commission must score a certain number of points (except for the preferential categories of candidates, which we have already talked about). Applicants who have completed the 8th grade of secondary school with “excellent” grades and have passed the “five” exam established by the commission are exempted from further exams.

Those who have passed all the tests are credited by order of the head of the MSVU.

  • Should parents accompany their son to the exam site?
  • You can go with him if you wish. But in any case, a special escort from the military registration and enlistment office is sent with a group of candidates.
  • Where do applicants live and who pays for travel, housing and meals?
  • Candidates receive a request from the military registration and enlistment office for a free military transportation document to and from their destination. They live in the location of the Suvorov military school and are provided with free meals.

As you can see, the most favorable conditions. And then - it all depends on them.

  • Finally, all the tests are over, and the boy became a Suvorovite. Does he have the opportunity to meet with his parents and how often?
  • Parents do not just continue to communicate with their children, but are active participants in the educational process. We have parent-teacher conferences just like in regular schools. If the relatives of a Suvorov student live in another city, they are also informed about how their child is studying: if necessary, letters are written, telephone conversations are conducted. When the pupil leaves for the next vacation (at the end of the academic quarter), he is given a report card, in which parents must sign. In addition to four vacations corresponding to school holidays, students are entitled to a weekly dismissal (from 17.00 Saturday to 16.00 Sunday for those living or having relatives in Moscow and the Moscow Region, and for the rest - from 17.00 to 21.30 Saturday and from 9.00 to 16.00 Sunday). Also, pupils have the opportunity to spend holidays at home or with relatives. In addition, a Suvorov citizen can always meet with friends and relatives in the visitor's room.
  • Can a pupil receive an early dismissal in case of good academic performance and exemplary behavior? And vice versa: can he be deprived of dismissal for any misconduct?

Of course, both are possible. Although deprivation of dismissal for poor study and violation of discipline is the exception rather than the rule. In addition, a reprimand (strict reprimand) can be announced as a punishment, an outfit out of turn (no more than 2 per month) is assigned. The delinquent may be deprived of previously received: a badge of an excellent student, an incentive scholarship, the rank of vice sergeant (senior vice sergeant). Expulsion from the school, made on the recommendation pedagogical council, is an extreme measure and is rarely used.

  • What incentives are provided for Suvorov students?
  • Exemplary Suvorov students are encouraged: by announcing gratitude, a commendable review in a letter to parents and to the school where the pupil previously studied, as well as his personal photo at the banner of MSVU. Students can be awarded a diploma, a valuable gift, a badge of an excellent student, an incentive scholarship. Achieving the highest results in studies and public life schools are entered in the MSVU Book of Honor. The names of those who graduated from Suvorov with gold or silver medals are entered on the Board of Honor.

As you can see, there are many more incentives, and we love to use them. I would like to wish all applicants to the MSVU to pass all the tests and become worthy Suvorov students in the future.

Military professions are becoming more and more popular among young people. Girls who consciously choose specialties related to military activities were no exception. This is due to the increase in the prestige of military schools, social guarantees of the state, provision of living space and decent wages. In addition, for those who graduated from the Suvorov Military School, there is a privilege for admission to higher educational institutions - they do not need to take entrance exams.

Military colleges for girls are becoming more and more attractive, and this is especially true of the famous Suvorov Military School. It has recently become possible for girls to enter military schools. If earlier the orders of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on admission clearly indicated the gender of the child, now there is no such restriction.

Suvorov schools for girls in Russia are not so common, some point to the admission of only boys. Although, the general order of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, regulating the organization educational activities in military educational institutions, provides for the admission to such institutions of underage citizens of Russia, without specifying the sex of the child.

Information on admission to the Moscow Suvorov Military School does not contain such restrictions.

Who can enter the school

In many colleges, first of all, preference is given to privileged categories of citizens. But at the same time, if there are any health restrictions or exams have not been passed, regardless of benefits, such a child will not be able to enter the school. The requirements are strict.

When entering the Moscow Suvorov Military School, a whole list of categories of underage citizens is given, who have an advantage when entering the institution.

These are orphans, military personnel who served on a contract basis in the Russian armed forces, children of Heroes of Russia and the USSR, children of prosecutors and internal affairs officials who died in the line of duty, and other categories. This applies to both girls and boys.

In the event that among the privileged categories of minors the flow to the course is not recruited, children who take exams in the usual manner are recruited for the remaining places.

The Suvorov School for Girls after the 4th grade also establishes general rules reception. Children study from 5th to 9th grades and from 10th to 11th grades.

What will be taught in school

Despite the fact that girls are called the weaker sex, there are no concessions when studying at a military school for girls. During the training period, cadets, as well as boys:

  • are trained in fire training;
  • study tactics;
  • train in combat training;
  • learn the rules.

At the Suvorov School in Moscow, special attention is paid to the study of foreign languages. As part of educational programs, balls are organized, for participation in which children learn ballroom etiquette. In addition, they learn the rules of conduct at protocol ceremonies.

Who will become the cadets of the school

Military professions are very diverse. Different schools offer training in various specialties, but the most common among girls are professions related to radio broadcasting and television. And specialties in the areas of switching systems and multichannel telecommunications are also popular.

In any case, upon admission, you must look at the list of professions in a particular military school.

What is needed for admission

The list of documents for all Suvorov military schools is the same. It does not change depending on the gender of the child. Every year the school announces a set of children in certain classes. So, in 2018, at the Moscow Suvorov School for girls and boys, there was only admission to the 5th grade.

Given that minors enter the school, a statement is required from both parents, the future Suvorov student himself. It is obligatory to provide: a copy of the child's birth certificate, copies of the parents' passports, applicant's data, photos 3 by 4, an extract confirming the candidate's registration for admission.

The Suvorov School establishes preferential categories of citizens who have an advantage in admission. In this connection, it is necessary to provide documents confirming the availability of benefits to the educational institution. For example:

  • for children without parental care - certificates from the personal file of the deceased parent, certificate of the parent's military service, length of service, etc.;
  • if the parent is deceased, then a death certificate (certified), a court decision on the appointment of a guardian, etc.

Additional merits of the applicant are also taken into account. To do this, they submit documents confirming achievements: certificates, diplomas. They are handed over to personal files in the form of certified copies.

Special attention upon admission, it is given to the physical condition and sports training of the child, therefore, when entering military schools for girls and boys, requirements are set for the presentation of certain medical documents.

List of medical documents

The school at admission indicates that if candidates are unfit for health reasons, then they are not allowed to take entrance examinations.

When entering military schools, girls and boys are required to undergo a medical examination. And this must be done no earlier than January. current year. The medical commission must be passed in the city in which the child wants to enter the Suvorov School (in Moscow or another city).

It is mandatory to provide:

  • medpolis (copy);
  • medical card (certified copy);
  • a separate medical record with the results of a preliminary examination;
  • conclusion of physicians on belonging to a medical group for physical education classes;
  • certificates from three dispensaries: neuropsychiatric, narcological and tuberculosis (future Suvorov students should not be registered with them);
  • extract in the form 112 / y;
  • vaccination certificate (copy).

Providing these documents is not enough for admission. Upon admission to the school, examinations are carried out by doctors. In addition, analyzes are given.

Physical training

Particular attention is paid to the physical training of candidates when entering military schools. In order to become a Suvorov member, you must pass the standards, which are evaluated on a five-point system.

Of the main tasks - pulling up, as a rule, this part of the exam is held in the sports hall of the school, running according to various sources for 60 and 100 meters. There is also a long distance run.

As a rule, most of the candidates are eliminated in the sprint. This is due to the wrong distribution of forces.

Applicants are monitored by doctors, and, of course, if necessary, the child will be assisted. The Suvorov School accepts girls. They pass physical fitness exams on a par with boys.

But unfortunately, not all schools accept girls. Such institutions are in the minority. So, the Yekaterinburg Suvorov School for Girls was opened in 2009. But since 2014, the admission of girls was no longer carried out. Although such information is not available on the official website of the school.

How is the result of the entrance exam evaluated?

Exams start at the school at 8 am and end at about 5 pm. You can take the exam only according to the list together with a parent or legal representative.

As a rule, the first hour of the examination day at the Suvorov Military School is informative. The first thing children have to do is to pass psychological tests, which are not scored. These tests give general idea about psychological state candidate. And the examiners give recommendations on the suitability of training based on the results of passing the test.

In the main subjects, the result of the exam is evaluated according to a 10-point system. For physical training on a 5-point scale. Importance have diplomas, and if these are diplomas for prizes, then they are rated higher. In the grading system, the Suvorov School for Girls does not make any adjustments.

Military schools are becoming more and more popular, so there is a fairly large competition, about 5 people per place.

After what class is it better to do

It is most realistic to enter the school after the 4th grade. Often, schools recruit applicants in the 5th grade. Accordingly, the Suvorov School for girls after grade 9 is not always available and not in all cities.

This distribution is due to the fact that the transition to a 7-year education and admission to different classes is carried out gradually. In addition, the number of students in schools is strictly limited.

There is an option to transfer the child to the 9th grade, but this process is quite complicated and requires coordination with the administration. As a rule, you can transfer either from another Suvorov military school or from a military one.

If a child wants to study at a military college, and the Suvorov School for Girls did not recruit a group in a certain year, then you can enter the boarding house for pupils of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Boarding house for pupils of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation

Along with the Suvorov Military School, the Ministry of Defense has organized a boarding school for pupils of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, where girls can receive military professions.

Upon admission to such a boarding house, documents are collected, similar to the Suvorov Colleges. There is also a list of persons for whom admission benefits apply.

In 2018, it was possible to enter only the 5th grade, the training lasts for the 11th grade. The girls live in a hostel. At the end of the boarding house, graduates can enter the military universities of Russia. The boarding house has a flight school. Pupils of the institution win prizes in various olympiads and competitions.

Benefits for Suvorovites

Children studying at the Suvorov schools of the country are at full state support. This applies, for example, to travel. Suvorov students are provided with preferential travel at the expense of the school. Pupils are provided with food and the form in which they are trained.

Children who graduated from the Suvorov Military School have an advantage in entering universities over children who have graduated from educational schools.

The benefits of studying at a school

In addition to the opportunity to get a promising military education and enter the best military universities in the country, there are a number of other advantages. In the Suvorov Schools for girls and boys, special disciplines are taught that help shape a person's character.

Here the child will be able to learn several languages. They teach increased attentiveness and self-organization. This will help not only in the military profession, but also if the child will continue to work in the civilian sphere.

Teaching etiquette and general subjects at a high level will help you continue your studies in higher educational institutions without any problems.

High level physical training and the study of psychology, will help the Suvorovites to become fully professional military professionals in the future.

When choosing military professions in the future, the child must clearly understand what he will have to face, and especially if it is a girl. And parents should help him in this. The military profession is a calling. In Russia today there are many military educational institutions that accept girls. The prestige of the Suvorov Schools is undeniable. A high level of discipline and education, it is this school that attracts the attention of incoming both boys and girls.

(as amended by the Order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation of September 22, 2003 N 337)

35. To conduct the entrance examination, the chairman of the selection committee appoints examiners for each group of candidates. One of the examiners is appointed as the head of the examination group, and he is responsible for organizing and conducting the examination. The chairman of the selection committee instructs the members of the examination committee before the start of the exam. Entrance examinations from candidates are taken by full-time teachers of schools. Only candidates, examiners and members of the selection committee, as well as representatives of the military education authorities who arrived to monitor compliance with the rules for admitting candidates to the school, are allowed into the classes allocated for the entrance examinations.

36. Candidates arrive at the entrance examinations in groups, having examination papers, writing materials, musical instruments and notes of musical works performed.

37. Candidates who did not arrive for one of the exams without good reason are not allowed to take further entrance exams. The candidate is obliged to report to the company commander or educator officer about the impossibility to take the entrance exams for health reasons or other valid reasons. The time for passing the missed entrance exam is determined by the chairman of the selection committee. In this case, a separate examination sheet is issued.

38. Before the start of the written exam in Russian language and mathematics, the procedure for conducting it is brought to the attention of the candidates. Examiners collect examination sheets and issue title sheets and insert sheets drawn up in accordance with Annexes No. 6 and 7 to this Instruction. The title page is filled in by the examiner. In the mathematics exam, each candidate is given a task card.

39. For exams in mathematics, 4 astronomical hours are allotted, in Russian - 1 academic hour (45 minutes). The time is determined from the moment the title page is completed, the task card is received. When writing a dictation, the examiner reads the entire text aloud, then dictates it in sentences and reads it again to check what the candidates themselves have written. Additional time for self-checking of the dictation is not provided to candidates. Tasks in mathematics are completely rewritten and solved in a sequence convenient for the examinee. The Russian language exam (dictation) is held only in a group of no more than 30 - 35 people. Conducting an exam in mathematics is possible in several groups based on the availability of appropriate premises in the school.

40. 30 minutes are allotted for writing a musical solfeggio dictation. Time is determined from the moment of the first play. As a musical dictation, a monophonic melody in the amount of eight measures is used, written in natural major or in one of the types of minor, in simple size. The musical dictation for candidates to write is played 12 times. Before the first playing, the candidate is informed of the number of key signs of tonality and a tonic triad is played for fret tuning. Additional time for self-checking of the dictation is not provided to candidates.

41. After passing the exam, the title pages and insert sheets are handed over to the examiners, who, having previously verified the data indicated in the title pages, return the examination sheets to the candidates. At the end of the exam, all written work is handed over to the secretary of the selection committee.

42. Written works are submitted for verification under a code without indicating the name of the applicant. The code on each title page and insert sheet is personally affixed by the chairman of the admissions committee of the school in the presence of his deputy, the secretary of the admissions committee of the school and a representative of the military education management body that checks compliance with the rules for admission to the school. It is not allowed to make any notes on them, allowing to reveal the authorship. 43. Checking of written works is carried out by members of the examination committee on the subject in a room specially allocated for this purpose in the presence of the chairman of the selection committee or his deputy. If a signature or other inscriptions not related to the work is found on the insert sheets, the written work is checked by two examiners. The assessment in Russian language, mathematics and solfeggio is put down on an insert sheet (music sheet) and certified by the signature of the examiner (examiners).

44. When checking a dictation in Russian, the examiner carefully emphasizes a spelling or punctuation error. In the margins, conventional signs indicate errors: I - spelling, V - punctuation. Other signs to explain errors are prohibited. All entries are made only in red.

45. After checking the dictation, the examiner counts and writes down on the insert sheet the number of errors by types of fractions (in the numerator - spelling, in the denominator - punctuation). After that, the examiner marks the dictation and signs.

46. When checking written works in mathematics, the examiner underlines the wrong sign, number, result. In the margins, marks the result of the check with a conditional sign ("+" - the correct solution, "-" - the task was not completed, "+/-" - the task was completed with a minor error). After that, the examiner writes down the number of correctly and incorrectly solved examples (tasks) on the insert sheet in the order specified in the ticket. After counting the positively rated examples (tasks), the examiner marks and signs.

47. When checking a musical dictation in solfeggio, the examiner circles the wrong notes, the remaining errors (meter, key, grouping of durations, rhythmic pattern, and others) are indicated in words above the place of the error.

48. Upon completion of the check, the written work is transferred to the secretary of the selection committee for decoding. After that, the members of the examination committees, who check the work, mark the marks in the examination sheets and sign them.

49. The chairman of the examination committee on the subject checks the correctness of the marks for all papers with grades "5" ("excellent") and "2" ("unsatisfactory"), and also checks at least 5% of the remaining written works and confirms the marks with his signature .

50. Acceptance of entrance examinations for brass or percussion musical instruments, solfeggio and elementary music theory (oral) is conducted within the scope of admission requirements.

51. The results of entrance examinations are evaluated: "5" ("excellent"), "4" ("good"), "3" ("satisfactory"), "2" ("unsatisfactory"). The examination score is put in numbers and words first in the examination sheet, and then in the examination sheet of the applicant. Examiners are prohibited from making corrections to the grades given on the basis of the results of entrance examinations. Correction of the grade in case of its erroneous recording is allowed only with the knowledge of the examination committee by decision of the chairman of the selection committee, about which the minutes of its meeting are drawn up. The results of written exams of candidates are posted for the information of parents (persons replacing them) on the information board no later than 1 day before the start of the next exam. Re-taking exams is prohibited. Candidates who received a grade of "2" ("unsatisfactory") in the entrance exam, or who are not fit for health reasons, or who do not meet the requirements of professional psychological selection and physical fitness, are not allowed to take subsequent entrance exams and are seconded to their place of permanent residence by order of the head of the school parents (persons replacing them). Acquaintance with written works and appeal are held on the day of the announcement of the mark for the entrance exam. The appeal must be attended by the chairman of the selection committee, his deputy, the chairman of the examination committee for the subject and teachers for the subject. IV. The order is announced to all candidates, the lists of those enrolled in the first year of the school are posted on the information board and brought, if necessary, to parents (persons replacing them). Additional enrollment in the school for the first year after the issuance of the order is prohibited.

58. Those enrolled in the school are issued a certificate of the student in the form in accordance with Appendix No. 8 to this Instruction.

59. The recruitment of first-year companies is carried out, as a rule, from among the candidates who passed the entrance exams in the groups of this company, taking into account those studying different foreign languages. At the same time, enrolled candidates who enjoyed benefits upon admission are evenly distributed among companies and platoons. Students of the new enrollment, starting from August 16 (at the school on the 1st course in the profile of the Navy - from August 1), undergo a preparatory period of study at the school or a stationary training camp in accordance with the training programs.

60. Candidates who are not enrolled in the school are sent, accompanied by representatives of the military commissariats, to their parents (persons replacing them). Good afternoon! I would like to know if it is possible for a 12-year-old girl to enter the 6th grade of a school in 2015? Thanks in advance for your reply.

The subtleties and nuances of entering the Yekaterinburg Suvorov School, which you will not find on the official website of the school - personal experience and information obtained during an admission attempt in 2016.

Where and how to get information about filing documents

Do not rely on the information content of the official website of the Yekaterinburg Suvorov Military School! Browsing the site, you will not find any details and recommendations related to admission.

Recommendation - Continuously call the admission committee, if you wish, then go in person. Try to double-check some of their recommendations, since the selection committee may have different answers to the same question. Annoy with questions ... this will help you in the formation of a set of documents and preparation for admission.

Medical documents

The list of medical certificates and documents that must be submitted upon admission is available on the website of the Suvorov Military School. Do not be surprised, but the documents really need to be handed over in a paper and cardboard folder without plastic files, according to the inventory. Medical documents separately in a file.

The first impression about the high requirements for health in practice is not confirmed! Treated erosive gastroduodenitis, a small form of flat feet, stuttering, wearing glasses, increased fullness, spring respiratory allergies and much more that scares parents does not impress the school doctors at all.

On the day of admission, each parent undergoes an interview with a doctor with a medical record from the children's clinic. In time, this conversation takes no more than 5-7 minutes. This interview itself leaves the impression that doctors are seeing for the first time medical documents which were presented to them more than a month ago. The feeling is that for a doctor this is some kind of medical improvisation "in haste".

Output- medical requirements are not so severe, and the meticulousness and scrupulousness of the doctors from the selection committee is conditional, and therefore, if the child does not have a disability, he is most likely suitable for admission. The phrase "strict medical selection" is not very close to the truth.

Dates for submission of documents and exams

Once again by date:

* It is possible to prepare medical documents (except for tests) from January.

There is a nuance regarding the item “certificates from neuropsychiatric, narcological and anti-tuberculosis dispensaries”:

  • antituberculous- do an x-ray, take shoe covers, a pen, a card from the clinic, a vaccination certificate (or an extract about BCG and mont), sign up with the child at the dispensary (judging by the reviews, there are incredible queues, but we were in May and the dispensary was empty) ;
  • psychoneurological and narcological- make an appointment with a psychiatrist (phone at the reception of your clinic), sometimes in the certificate the psychiatrist writes “is not registered with a psychiatrist and narcologist ”, but this is usually in the cities of the region, and in Yekaterinburg you need to visit a narcologist on July, 76.

After June 20, the school begins calling candidates: give the date of the exams. (We received a call 6 days in advance). Exams are held from 01 to 12 July inclusive (from Monday to Saturday).

* At the exam, the mandatory presence of the legal representative of the child: parents (even with the whole family), or another adult by proxy.

* The examination day (described below) starts at 8:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm with a final meeting.

How is the exam day at the Suvorov Military School

What are they silent about on the website of the Suvorov Military School?

First of all, about the essence of examination testing, the technology of its implementation and the method of scoring, the schedule of the examination day.

The site completely lacks a description of the features of testing and the requirements for the level of preparation of children. Everything is in style - guess for yourself and hope for luck.

Schedule of the exam day

Arrival at 8.00. Entrance to the school according to the list.

From 8.00 to 8.30 - registration of arrivals.

You must have with you:

* Report card (on letterhead) from the school for grade 4, signed by the headmaster, class teacher and print.

* A medical card (thick notebook) from a children's clinic.

* Letters, diplomas.

* Sports shoes and clothing (according to the weather).

* Stationery (pen, pencil, eraser, ruler).

From 8.30 to 9.00 informative address of the leaders of the school. The order in which the exam will be conducted will be explained. They will explain where the toilets, buffet, etc. are. organizational matters.

Here, right in front of the parents, they will open the envelope with exam tickets (they are separate for each exam day).

At 9.00 all the children are marched away for exams and testing.

Parents can have breakfast at the buffet, and after that there will be the same interview with doctors that was written about earlier.

After talking with the doctor, parents are free until 12.00 - 12.30. You can stay here assembly hall by looking commercials about Suvorovites and films about the war, or you can leave the school.

From 9.00 to (approximately) 10.00, psychological testing will be carried out on children.

All children will be seated in an audience and offered three tests. We did not see these tests, but according to the child, testing is as follows:

* The first test - psychological and logical, 60 questions. A typical child will have time to answer about 20-25 questions. Questions are common, as in many psychological tests interspersed with logical puzzles.

* The second test - The psychologist reads the questions aloud, and the children mark one of the answers. For example: "how do you behave in big company

* The third test - "Continue the sentence", about 20 tasks, 11-15 manage to do it. For example, "In the evening I usually ...".

The psychological test does not affect the scores for admission, but based on its results, a general conclusion is made " not recommended/recommended training in SVU”, which is brought to parents only in the evening at the final meeting.

It is assumed that with the help of such testing, the Admissions Committee will be able to weed out children incapable of "living with restrictions", "submit", "get along in a team".

What is the problem here? The problem is that no child has ever been tested like this. For all, without exception, this is an unprecedented and obscure event. And all children will react differently to it. Someone will consider the questions stupid and also stupidly answer, the other begins to be wise, the third is pinched and answers inappropriately ...

From 10.00 am and (approximately) until 11.00 am, children are tested in writing on the task tickets that were in the “secret package”. (Mathematics, Russian language, Foreign language)

There are 4 tasks for each subject, one of the tasks of increased difficulty. The tests are quite ordinary, of which there are many on the Internet, but there may be surprises.

What was a surprise:

Tasks in the Russian language were not only test, but also for knowledge of the theory. For example, such a question: "what is the difference between a preposition and a prefix." The child himself must formulate and write a complete answer.

The math assignments did not seem difficult, but still they were tasks (again, not a test option when the correct answer is chosen).

English test assignments.

After the written part, the children have a medical examination: admission to passing the minimum in physical education.

The point system for physical fitness is five-point, as in regular school. The overall score that goes into the physical fitness test is average. Those. if pull-up is "5", 60 m is "3", and 1 km is "4", then the average score is "4".

* Pull-ups in the gym. The minimum standard is 5 times, the maximum is 10. Those who can do more will not be allowed to do it anyway. Ten times is five, and that means enough.

* Running 60 m: three - 12 seconds, five - 10.5 seconds.

* Running 1 km - the most difficult test of physical fitness. Some kids just don't make it. Lack of experience in running long distances. The child must be able to choose the pace at which he can run. The problem is that children "drive" each other, having no experience, and in the middle of the distance they remain exhausted. The standard for 1 km is not hard and you can run it. The standard was announced as "excellent" - 5 min 30 sec. But at the same time, many ran faster - from 4.10 to 4.40.

At the finish line, everyone is met by a doctor with a first aid kit and ammonia.

At 12.30, children are given to their parents for about 1.5 hours, you can have lunch in the school canteen or go outside the school.

At 14.00 children are taken for 3-3.5 hours for an oral exam. This part is the most important and defining part of the entire examination day.

Each child is interviewed by a subject teacher. In fact, the conversation is based on the analysis of a written test on this subject. In Russian they ask for rules, in mathematics - explanations of why and how they solved problems, in English: they had to answer questions about themselves.

At about 17.15, after the children have all passed the oral exam, they return to the club and after 7-10 minutes the Admissions Committee is ready to present the results of the tests.

The speed of the admissions committee is alarming in terms of thoroughness and scrupulousness of the discussion of test results. Apparently, there is a simple “technical pipeline” where there is no place for discussion and balanced decision-making.

The selection committee announces who was on the competitive list and with what scores, and then the list of those who did not make it, with the name of the reason, is read out.

Being on the competitive list does not mean that the child has been accepted into the Suvorov Military School. It’s just that this is the list from which they will then choose those who will enter.

For our example: on one competitive day, out of 45 children, 7 did not pass the physical minimum, about 7-10 were “not recommended” by psychologists, 21 did not pass the subjects. To get into the competitive list, it was necessary to score a minimum of 29 points, and the maximum was announced as 50 points.

Evaluation method and calculation of competitive points

It was also unexpected for us (due to the lack of information on the school website):

Each core subject (Mathematics, Russian language, English language) scores a maximum of 10 points. These 10 points are subsequently interpreted in the usual five-point system, for example, 5-6 points are three, 3-4 are deuces (unsatisfactory).

How points are awarded is not entirely clear. But in a personal conversation with the Deputy Head of Education we were told: the written part is not an exam, but a preparation for the oral exam (!).

At the oral exam, if the child could not answer in detail on the written part, then his written answers are not counted.

For physical training - the average score is calculated (maximum - 5 points).

The average score from the report card for grade 4 is added to the exam scores. Maybe, for example, 4.3 or 4.8 points (maximum - 5 points).

- For certificates: only "subject" and for sporting achievements are taken into account, but with the obligatory indication of the prize-winning place taken. Just participation does not count.

  • For school certificates - for everything, regardless of their number - 0.5 points.
  • For prize-winning places in city/regional competitions, olympiads, etc. - 1 point for each (!) diploma.
  • For prizes in regional / Russian competitions, olympiads, etc. - 2 points for each (!) diploma.

Who eventually has a chance to enter the Suvorov Military School in Yekaterinburg

Approximately 400 people participate in the competition in 2016, 80 cadets are recruited.

If we take into account that 150-170 people get into the competitive list by the end of the exams, then in order to be among the 80 lucky ones, it is likely (taking into account the beneficiaries admitted to the school) that you will need to score more than 40 points.

According to the results of the first 3 days of the exams, which we know about, 95 people passed the exams, of which 32 were enrolled in the competitive list, the average score was 32-38, one had 42, another one had 48.

And now you can calculate: let the average score for the 4th grade be “5”, and I passed the physical training excellently - “5”, in the absence of letters of city / regional significance, you need to pass subjects with “10”, so that in the end there are 40 points. As a result three days no one was able to pass the exams on "10".

How to score more than 40 points in these conditions?

Conclusion: we need letters! And not just necessary, but vital. It is the diplomas that become the key to entering the school. And the more of them, the better.
