Rules for assembling an electric and manual meat grinder. How to properly install a knife in a Mulinex meat grinder

A meat grinder is considered one of the most popular kitchen appliances; all modern food processors and blenders have not been able to supplant it from the kitchen. With the help of a meat grinder you can make not only minced meat and pates, it is used for making homemade sausages and sausages, squeezing juice, cooking vegetable puree, original cookies and pasta. All this will be available to any housewife, but to do this you need to know how to properly assemble a meat grinder so as not to call your husband into the kitchen when you urgently need to grind meat or squeeze out juice.

Mechanical meat grinder

Electric meat grinder

Before assembling a meat grinder, you need to study its design. Since the times of the USSR, we were well aware of the old, but very reliable Soviet design - a manual version that still helps users in the kitchen today. Then its analogues began to appear, but only with an electric drive, but the main details remained the same.

  1. The one-piece body was made of cast iron, then they switched to various alloys based on light and durable aluminum. At the top of it is meat receiver neck, where processed products are placed.
  2. Screw- a specially shaped shaft, which, when rotated, moves products towards the exit of the product.
  3. At its end it is worn knife, which performs grinding - it can be disk or with wings.
  4. Lattice regulates the degree of grinding of products; instead, shaped devices are inserted into the meat grinder when working with dough.
  5. Round shape clamping device, with the help of which all elements in the housing are securely fixed. There are special protrusions on it for easy fastening.
  6. It is attached to the shaft at the back with a special wing screw. crank for rotation the entire mechanism.

In electric meat grinders, the set of main parts is identical, they must be assembled in exactly the same way, the only difference is in the drive and the housing, which is made of hard plastic.

Such a device is controlled using keys located on a special panel, and rotation is carried out by an electric motor. Important! Manual option

The product is installed on the edge of the table and secured using a special threaded device. Material must be placed under the metal base to prevent the product from moving on the table.

How to assemble a mechanical meat grinder? To do everything correctly, you need to follow the operating instructions that come with each product. If it is missing, we will tell you step by step method assemblies.

Manual meat grinder

We described in detail how to correctly assemble a manual meat grinder yourself; the main task is to correctly install the knife and grid, otherwise the product will not work. How to properly position the product for work is shown in the photo below.

Electric meat grinder

We figured out how to assemble a manual meat grinder, now it remains to find out the nuances and differences in assembling its electric counterpart, which is much more complicated in operating principle, but the process of assembling the main body is identical.

To assemble an electric meat grinder, for example, the most popular and widespread brand Mulinex, you need to take into account some of its features.

  1. Installation of the product should be carried out using a similar method as was done during assembly manual meat grinder. Then the housing with all the main parts must be connected to the electrical part. To do this, insert hexagon screw into the special hole and turn it counterclockwise until it clicks.
  2. Then we install a special bowl or food loading tray into the socket located on top - the meat grinder is ready for use.

During assembly various models There may be minor differences; to find out, you need to check the instructions. For clarity, there is a video that shows the whole process step by step and clearly:

For cooking homemade sausage or sausages exist special conical nozzles, and instead of the grate and knife, you need to insert a special washer (see photo). All parts are assembled in the same way: the nozzle has a groove identical to the grille, then everything is secured with a clamping device. The conical part can be made of a similar alloy as all internal parts. If it is made of plastic, it is secured with a nut made of a homogeneous material.

It is worth remembering that sausages, wieners and other similar products require a special casing, which is made from the intestines of large animals; without it they cannot be cooked.

Proper care

Having figured out how to assemble an electric meat grinder, you now need to figure out the correct dismantling process, because all the insides of the mechanical unit must be cleaned of residues after grinding. Disassembling the product is carried out in the reverse order:

  • first remove the bowl, then press the rotation lock button at the top of the main body and disconnect the mechanical part;
  • Now you can unscrew the clamping nut so that it does not slip in your hand (use a clean rag);
  • then the internal parts are removed and cleaned of any remaining crushed products;
  • Now you can wash all parts with warm water and detergent;
  • After rinsing, the parts are placed on a towel until completely dry.

Disassembling a manual analogue is practically no different from the process of dismantling the mechanical part of an electrical product described above. Many people, after drying the parts, store the device in assembled form until future use. Experts advise storing all parts in an unassembled state, and during assembly, lubricate the auger with vegetable oil before use.

Such care, as a rule, extends the life of the product. Modern housewives can no longer imagine their lives without a variety of household appliances

, which greatly facilitates the cooking process. Some of these helpers include food processors and meat grinders. In this article we will tell you how to assemble a meat grinder. No matter how modern the food processor is, it is difficult to prepare airy and juicy minced meat for cutlets. The meat mass turns out to be heterogeneous, sometimes there are veins. Minced meat minced in a meat grinder is free of these disadvantages; it has a uniform and smooth consistency. Most housewives have old ones in their kitchens. metal meat grinders

, they are also called manual. Grinding of meat occurs due to the rotation of the shaft and pushing the ingredients through the knife and mesh.

  • Meat grinder details:
  • frame;
  • lever;
  • cross-shaped knife;
  • net;
  • central nut;
handle lock.

The assembly procedure for an electric meat grinder differs little from its manual counterpart. The difference is the absence of a handle, which, when rotated, drives the shaft. In an electric meat grinder, the motor does all the work for you. In the upper part of the device it is necessary to attach a meat receiver, which has a greater depth than in a manual device. This is done to ensure safe operation. The meat is pushed into the receiver using a special cone-shaped clamp.
  • Depending on the purpose, the design of the meat grinder may vary. The kit may include a variety of knives, grates with large and small cells. If you need to greatly grind food, then the meat grinder is assembled in this order:
  • place the shaft into the housing;
  • place a knife and a mesh with large cells on it;
  • install another knife;
  • Place a grid with small cells on top of the knife;
  • tighten the structure with the central nut;

screw the handle. As you can see, the design for producing fine minced meat includes additional knives and grids. Remember, you won’t be able to get a highly crushed product in one step. Large pieces of meat will get stuck in the small mesh holes. Therefore, the presence of additional knives is mandatory. If you want to cook homemade cookies

, then knives are not used when assembling the meat grinder. Instead of a mesh, figured rings are worn. Remember, wash assembled meat grinder You won’t be able to do it properly, so you need to remove all the parts. After this, rinse the body, knives and grid. Do not assemble the device until it is completely dry; some parts of the meat grinder can be made of ordinary steel, which rusts. To make the shaft rotate smoothly, drop a little vegetable oil

at the junction of the handle and the axle. Despite the abundance of various types of household appliances: mixers, food processors and other electric kitchen appliances, many of us prefer to use good old mechanical appliances. Despite the fact that most stores will offer you to buy freshly pureed chopped meat

, sometimes you want homemade food in the full sense of the word. And here, more than ever, a manual meat grinder comes in handy... Many people have inherited old cast iron meat grinders in their homes. This is truly a thing for centuries; such a “grandmother” cannot be broken so easily. However, it also contains: the handle can come off every now and then at the most crucial moment. And it's also very heavy. Modern models are made of aluminum and plastic alloys; they are less durable, but significantly lighter in weight. Let's look at each type in more detail.

Good old cast iron meat grinder

The main advantages of a cast iron meat grinder is its durability. She is not afraid of falling from the table (the main thing is to remove your feet in time), too tight tension of the fastenings (it must be secured very firmly to the tabletop) and stringy pieces of meat. This kind of meat grinder will grind everything. The main thing is not to get tired. After all, this type of drive requires considerable physical effort.

Advice! To prevent the cast iron meat grinder from slipping off the table, use either rubber gaskets or old newspapers as seals.

Meat grinders made of aluminum alloys and plastic models

More modern models meat grinders are made of aluminum alloys, stainless steel, and also durable plastic. The advantages that immediately become obvious are the ease of such devices. The plastic can be washed well, practically no grease accumulates on it, and this is precisely where metal variations of the device have problems. However, there are also disadvantages - the surface can quickly fail due to excessive friction of the mechanisms, so when working with such household meat grinders, you should not make too much effort and “squeeze” an excessively large piece of meat or poultry. It is best to divide it into smaller pieces in advance, remove the bones and anything that can scratch the plastic.

Aluminum variations are made in two alloy versions: with the addition of silicon or with the addition of magnesium. The former are considered more durable. Which model is better to choose depends, first of all, on the frequency of use of the meat grinder and the nuances associated with the habits of the owner or owner of the device - a weightlifter will most likely break a plastic device, and a fragile girl will hardly cope with the installation and operation of a cast iron mechanism.

Operating principle of a manual meat grinder

One of the main elements and functional parts of the meat grinder is the screw shaft; it moves pieces of meat to special knives, which are fixed at the end of the shaft on special attachments. Thus, slowly but surely the raw material reaches the grinding and forming mesh. It happens different shapes and hole sizes so that you can choose the desired consistency of the future minced meat.

For information! Unlike appliances with an electric motor, manual meat grinders make virtually no noise. Another benefit could be energy savings. After all, any meat grinder electric type It is equipped with a fairly powerful motor, so the energy consumption will not be small.

When purchasing a manual meat grinder, pay attention to the quality of the material from which the body and main parts are made.

Unlike older models, some modern variations are equipped with siphons for squeezing juices or are used instead of a grater. Most of these devices, of course, are produced for electric drive, but you can also find manual and mechanical models.

Important! When working with a meat grinder, carefully select the meat - do not allow bones to get into the minced meat. Firstly, it will harm your health and may have a detrimental effect on those who try such a dish. And secondly, by using unselected pieces of meat, you risk dulling the knives ahead of time, damaging the auger shaft and the housing itself.

Purpose of the main and additional parts of the meat grinder

Any meat grinder consists of main and additional parts and accessories. The main set is those elements that are involved in all basic work processes. This, as we have already said, is a screw shaft, knives (and their variations), a grid, a disc that fixes the grid, a meat receiver, a meat pusher, a handle (most often removable), and a body with legs.

In addition, the kit may include various attachments for molding. Eg, confectionery and sausages.

Important! Before working with any type of meat grinder, read the instructions for use!

How to properly assemble a manual meat grinder step by step with photos of the process

Despite the apparent simplicity of the task, not everyone can cope with the process of assembling a meat grinder. And if you do it incorrectly (for example, install the knife on the wrong side, with the cutting edge facing out), then you can break all the elements. This is especially true for electric meat grinders, where processes occur many times faster and it is not always possible to react correctly and quickly to a breakdown.

Let's consider step by step, step by step, all stages of work.

Step #1– We lay out all the parts in disassembled form. A visual inspection should give us information about whether all the parts are in place.

In mechanical models, the following six elements must be placed in front of you:

  1. Frame.
  2. Screw shaft.
  3. Knife (usually a disc and four-wing propeller).
  4. Lattice. Large plate with holes. The smaller the holes, the more tender the minced meat is.
  5. Nut for clamping the mesh. Most often it is screwed onto the threads on the body.
  6. Pen. It is mounted on the opposite side from the mesh and knives of the shaft handle.

By the way! In a meat grinder you can grind not only meat, but also fish, and also shape dough. It's also a great way to chop vegetables.

Do not forget that before assembly, the body of the meat grinder must either be secured using a clamping mechanism or installed on legs to avoid distortions during operation. In addition, make sure that all elements of the meat grinder fit tightly against each other - this will ensure the necessary pressure on the shaft and the quality of grinding of raw materials.

Step #2– We begin the assembly by installing the screw shaft into the housing. Usually at this stage the shaft is simply inserted from the side where the washer will later be fixed. The shaft is installed in such a way that the nozzle (tip) with a narrower edge is located on the side where the blades will be attached to it.

In this case, the wider part is inserted into a special hole, where it is secured with a special holder or nut, to which the handle will subsequently be attached. Older models do not have such an adapter.

Step #3– Installation of the knife. This is one of the most critical stages if the knife is installed on the wrong side or at an angle, the grinding process does not occur normally. If in doubt, read the instructions again. Most often, the knife is installed with the flat side inward, this is what allows the meat to fall perfectly evenly under the knife.

Step #4– Installation of the grille. The plate usually has slots that allow you to install the holes as correctly as possible in relation to the knives.

Step #5– Fixing and pressing the grille to the body. Usually the nut is simply screwed into pre-machined cutters on the body.

Step #6– Securing the handle. At this stage, the assembly can be considered complete.

Rules of care and features of changing attachments

After use, the meat grinder must be disassembled and all its elements washed. We begin this process in reverse order. The handle is removed first. Then the nut securing the grille is unscrewed, the grille is removed, the knives are carefully removed, and then the shaft. Under no circumstances should you wash the meat grinder when assembled - you will not be able to guarantee proper cleaning of the container and elements even under high pressure of water. And spoiled meat can lead to infections and germs, as well unpleasant smell, which will be difficult to get rid of later.

Most often for proper drying details and elements are laid out on kitchen towel, where excess moisture drains and evaporates. Only after this can the product be reassembled or all the elements put away in a box or cabinet.

Today, the range of manual meat grinders is quite wide. The market offers both cast iron, aluminum, plastic and stainless steel models. Such diversity, of course, makes it difficult to choose the right product. The editors of the site decided not to stand aside and have prepared several recommendations that will help you decide on the right model.

  • study the material from which the device is made. Some types of plastic may be toxic. If in doubt, ask for a certificate of conformity;
  • look at the functionality. If you just need a meat grinder, do not buy a more expensive device with extra attachments. You will save money there;
  • mounting option. Here it is worth starting from your preferences. These are usually silicone suction cups, which do not always live up to expectations. Silicone should be undamaged, durable, moderately dense;
  • Last but not least is the price. The cost of mechanical models is lower than electric ones, however, a very cheap tool for grinding meat should raise questions, first of all, about the quality of the material. Study carefully the most important mechanisms: screw shaft, handle fastening, shaft stroke during operation;
  • Buy any household appliances only with the appropriate certificates. This is especially true for those machines and tools that are somehow involved in preparing food. Be sure to require certificates for the quality of the material and its toxicity;
  • If you are planning to purchase online, be sure to check the store's reviews. You should also not buy goods on sale. Usually it already has defects. In addition, you should refrain from purchasing an item that was used as a demo model.

So, we have told you the main points that you should pay attention to when choosing a mechanical meat grinder. In addition, you now have some knowledge that will help when assembling and disassembling the product. Do not forget that any mechanisms require careful care.

And in conclusion, we suggest watching a useful video on assembling a manual meat grinder.

Assembling a meat grinder is a multifaceted process that requires certain knowledge of the mechanism and perseverance. This article will tell you how to ensure that the assembly of the meat grinder goes quickly and without breaking the device. Any malfunctions always lead to destruction of the mechanism and reduced performance. The instructions given below will help stop all undesirable consequences.

The electric meat grinder is an indispensable assistant in the kitchen of any self-respecting housewife. For proper use, you should know how to properly assemble the device without harm to yourself or the mechanism. But, for this it is recommended to know its mechanism and basic principles of operation.

A short introduction to the design of a manual meat grinder will be useful to every person who has at least once encountered it, but did not dare to disassemble it.

To know how to properly assemble a manual meat grinder, you need to take into account the design features and the procedure for the operation. Components and their location:

  1. Frame. This part is the basis. You should start by installing the auger knife into the housing. In this situation, caution is required. It is important to know which side to insert the shaft from. It has two ends - thin and thick. The second one comes out at the back of the meat grinder, where the handle is also located. In most cases, the thread is provided only on one side, where the handle is secured with a special screw. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to make a mistake with its installation.
  2. Many people are interested in how to install a knife in a meat grinder. It should be inserted with the blade outward, not otherwise. In this position, permanent sharpening of the blades will be ensured, that is, during operation, its surface will be sharpened, touching the grate. This design ensures the speed of the meat grinder. No finishing of the knife blade is required.
  3. The mesh can be inserted on either side. It’s good if it stands with the worn part towards the blades. This will ensure maximum efficiency in the operation of the device. To successfully put on the mesh, you should hit the small notch on the tubercle of the meat grinder body. This position will ensure the tightest possible fit of the part.
  4. The tightening ring is necessary to cover the mesh over the entire area. You should not tighten the thread too tightly, as this will require considerable effort when rotating the handle. This will not affect the quality of processing, but the mesh and knife will take much less time to wear out completely.

After assembling the meat grinder, you need to attach it to the edge of the table using the claw. It is screwed to the surface. For better fixation, use a small piece of fabric, placing it in the gap between the metal and the table.

Operating principle of an electric meat grinder

Device electric meat grinder implies that the engine will replace all the effort exerted by a person in the mechanical version.

The main difference is the material from which the case is made. All the user has to do is start the device and push the meat into the tube.

Peculiarities:

  • the meat receiver is attached to the body in some brands;
  • the auger knife is held by a corrugated plastic rod;
  • there is a pusher, the function of which is to push the meat into the mechanism;
  • The electric meat grinder can be installed on any surface.

Assembling a meat grinder

Most housewives do not know how to assemble an electric meat grinder, or get confused about the components when assembling for the first time. Often there are simply no assembly instructions and it is impossible to understand where to start. This requires knowledge of how a meat grinder works.

It's quite simple, you just need to adhere to a certain chronology:

  1. Install the unit onto the gearbox. The meat grinder enters the bosom of the lid, after which it turns counterclockwise. This will provide better hold.
  2. The next step is to install the auger. It is installed in the same way as in the mechanical version of the device.
  3. The nut, knife and grille are installed in the same way. The knife comes first, with the blade facing out, followed by the grid, and then the clamping nut.
  4. The last step is to insert the loading bowl. It comes included and does not require any special skills for installation.

Disassembly and cleaning

How to disassemble a meat grinder is a question of interest to those who managed to assemble it. Most people prefer to store it unassembled. It is convenient and does not require much space. But, in order to avoid metal corrosion and damage to parts, the unit must be disassembled and cleaned after use.

Correct step-by-step instruction for disassembling the meat grinder:

  • if there is a removable meat receiver, it should be removed from the neck;
  • then the clamping nut is unscrewed. This is done by rotating counterclockwise. If it slips, wipe it or cover it with a dry cloth;
  • the knife and lattice attachment are removed from the shaft;
  • The final step is to remove the shaft. This can be done by unscrewing the nut holding the handle. After removing the latter, the auger shaft can be removed without much difficulty.

All disassembled components of the mechanism are thoroughly wiped and cleaned of food residues. For their better removal It is recommended to use a meat grinder. Washing is carried out using washing liquid or a solution of regular soda. Each part is dried on a towel or paper napkin, and then put away in its place of permanent storage.

The manual version of the kitchen aid is best kept disassembled. If necessary, it can be quickly assembled. For better sliding of all parts of the mechanism and better grinding, it is recommended to lubricate each component before work. This will allow nodes to run on full power and eliminates wear and tear on the device.

Electric or mechanical meat grinders have simplified the life of housewives at all times. It is impossible to replace all its functions using similar modes of other devices. If you follow all the instructions and rules described above, you will be able to increase the service life of your equipment and save money. Any device requires careful handling, and a meat grinder even more so.

Meat grinder is a must kitchenware which should be in every home. Many housewives prefer modern electrical appliances. There are many reasons for this: convenience, saving effort and time, stylish design. However, some still remain faithful to the usual manual meat grinder - but how to assemble it correctly for work?

Soviet meat grinder

Design Features

Before assembling the meat grinder, you need to imagine what it includes. Manual model, or mechanical, is the most popular. It is found in almost every home.

Its main part is the body. It is usually made of a metal alloy. When assembling the device begins, a screw is inserted into the body - this is a thread at the rear end, where the handle of the structure is attached to a screw with a steel or plastic wing. So, in order to prepare a Soviet mechanical meat grinder for work, you need to put its components in front of you:

  • Meat grinder details:
  • meat receiver (the part where products are loaded, most often it is non-removable, that is, it is located in the housing);
  • screw shaft (this is a spiral);
  • knife (disc or winged, it is cross-shaped, reminiscent of a propeller);
  • grid (needed to grind the product as much as possible);
  • a clamping nut that secures the knife and the grid);
  • handle, which is secured with a nut;
  • a screw or nut that secures the handle to the body.

Manual meat grinder at work

The electric model is easier to prepare because its design is different from its predecessor, although it is very similar. Significant difference electrical appliance- this is the body. If for a manual one it always looks the same and is made of metal, then in the second case (depending on the manufacturer), the body can be plastic, steel, made of an alloy, different in shape. This device also does not have a handle, since it works from electrical network– the device is powered by a motor located inside the housing.

The electric meat grinder consists of the following parts:

  • Meat grinder details:
  • food receiver (looks like a bowl);
  • auger (supplies products for grinding);
  • grid (round disk with holes);
  • a clamping nut that holds the parts of the structure together;
  • electrical mechanism (motor that powers the device).

The principle of operation is that food cut into pieces is placed into the bowl. When they hit the auger, they move down to the knife. The shank of the auger is connected to the wire. Simultaneously with the first, the knife adjacent to the grate rotates. The meat is chopped with a knife, then an auger pushes it through the holes in the grill into a plate. The sequence is simple.

Assembly diagram of an electric and manual meat grinder

Assembling a meat grinder is not difficult. It is much more troublesome to disassemble and clean it after use.

It is not difficult to prepare a manual meat grinder if you follow a specific sequence and know the names of the design parts. On modern market There are two types of meat grinders: mechanical and electric. The first one is also called manual, and is made of steel. The electrical housing may include not only steel, but also other alloys; it may even consist entirely of plastic.

If we compare the mechanical and electric models, the second one does not have a handle. Instead, there is an engine inside the body. As a rule, the assembly diagram for a meat grinder of any kind does not cause any difficulties, since the old Soviet design is known to everyone, and the electric one comes with instructions. It is much more difficult to disassemble and clean it, since this process requires physical effort. What is this design even intended for? Basically, meat and crackers are ground in it. It is suitable for preparing homemade sausage or minced meat. Before assembling, you need to lay out the clean parts in front of you.

Assembly diagram of a hand-held device

You can grind meat not only with a meat grinder, but also with a blender. It's even more convenient. However, the consistency of the minced meat will be very liquid and will resemble puree. Both devices are good and have their purpose. If you don't have a blender, you can buy additional accessories. For example, for a hand-held device - several double-sided blades, grates of different diameters, knives.

Assembling a manual meat grinder

How to assemble a manual meat grinder quickly, step by step? This is quite easy to do. The old model is probably in every home, but to use it, follow the device assembly diagram:

  1. To begin, take the meat grinder body and the spiral (screw shaft). The second part has one side thinner than the other - this means that the knife and grid are attached to it, and the handle is attached to the thicker side. The shaft is secured so that the thickening is visible from the outside. Then a handle is installed on it and secured with a screw.
  2. On the other side of the shaft there is a knife. On one side the winged knife is convex, and on the other it is flat. The flat part should face the grille. If the knife is a disk knife, then there should be cutting edges of this part near the grid. It is very important to secure the knife correctly, otherwise the meat will not be chopped, but choked. Apply better knives, which come complete with the meat grinder.
  3. After installing the knife, attach the grid to the rod pin. This part should fit very tightly to the knife. Make sure that the grille fits into the protrusion on the device body, otherwise you will not be able to tighten the clamping nut.
  4. The last stage of assembly is fixing the previously installed elements with a clamping nut. It is twisted clockwise.

Please note that in Soviet models there is a special tab on the body, which is intended for attaching the device to work surface, for example, to the edge of the table. You need to apply force to fix such a model. Electrical devices do not have such an element, but modern manual ones are equipped with plastic claws, so they are easier to attach.

How to assemble an electric meat grinder

The step-by-step assembly of a modern electric meat grinder may seem simple to some, since household appliance attached detailed instructions with assembly steps. The design is the same as a manual one. It works on the same principle. The only difference is that you don’t need to make any physical effort to grind the products:

  1. The meat grinder body is connected to the gearbox. It is inserted into the groove of the lid and turned counterclockwise to secure it.
  2. Next, a screw shaft is installed in the main part so that the protrusion of the shank fits into the hole of the output shaft.
  3. Then they put the grill and knife, all this is fixed with a clamping nut. First the knife (blade out), then the grid, and finally the nut.
  4. Then install the loading bowl into the neck of the housing. Now the electric meat grinder can work.

Engine electrical device replaces human effort. All you need to do is turn on the device and push the meat into the tube. Among the design features - to the body of models from different manufacturers sometimes the meat receiver is attached, and sometimes it is already built-in. The auger blade is held in place by a grooved rod. The household appliance also comes with a pusher, the main function of which is to push the meat into the mechanism. An electric meat grinder, unlike hand-held device install where it is convenient - it does not need to be fixed.

Electrical device assembly sequence

Assembling the device is one step, but it still needs to be disassembled and washed after work. To do this correctly, first start with a removable meat receiver. It is removed from the body and the clamping nut is unscrewed. This can be done with a napkin or towel. Then remove the grill and knife, unscrew the screw holding the handle, and remove it. Lastly, take out the screw shaft. All components of the structure are cleaned of food residues, washed in a hot soapy solution, then dried on a napkin. Keep the meat grinder disassembled. The same is true for electrical appliances.
