What is Fitoverm

Fitoverm is one of the biological products. Them distinguishing feature from pesticides - a delay in the action on the objects of elimination. Further, Fitoverm acts the stronger, the higher the ambient temperature: if we take the action at +20 degrees as a standard, then when it drops to +15, the effect of the drug weakened three times. With an increase to +25, it increased by 1.5 times, and at +30 approx. 8 times. And finally, Fitoverm is subject to destructive action. sunlight and hydrolysis. Formulas, action, modifications

The active ingredient Fitoverma refers to avermectins - substances produced by the fungus-actinomycete Streptomyces avermitilis. Avermectins are extracted from the mycelial mass of the fungus by ethanol (alcohol) extraction. The peculiarity of avermectins is a double nerve-paralytic effect on pests: they stimulate the release of γ-aminobutyric acid in neuronal synapses and at the same time block chloride transmission channels to dependent receptors. The chloride current in the nerves is disturbed and all nervous system goes into disarray. The process is rather slow, but the resistance (resistance) of pests to Fitoverm develops with great difficulty. In practice, Fitoverm can be regularly applied to plants for 5-6 years, without fear of breeding a resistant population of ate. And if this has arisen, it is enough for a year or two to switch to other pesticides so that the susceptibility of pests to Fitoverm is restored.

However, there is a very serious nuance in Fitoverm regarding the users' own safety: there are 2 series of modifications of avermectins, due to the so-called. spatial isomerism of molecules: Aij and Bij. In foreign preparations and domestic preparations from foreign raw materials, the active substance is Bij avermectins (on the left in the figure). Avermectins Bij are stronger, but more toxic (hazard class 2-3), accumulate in fruits and are approved for use in the EU only for inedible crops. In the Russian Federation, only Fitoverm based on Aij avermectins is approved for use in individual households (in the center of the figure). It is produced by OOO NBC Pharmbiomed (right); it is extracted from the strains of the fungus-producer VNIISKhM-51 or VNIISKhM-54 bred in Russia. Fitoverm from Pharmbiomed can be safely used in a country house, garden plot or farm, while others (Letto, Plantafol, OptiRoza, Fitoverm from other manufacturers) are suitable only for inedible crops and indoor plants- they have a stronger effect on pests, but it is not recommended to use them for fruits and vegetables. Release form

Fitoverm for indoor gardening is available in concentrated emulsion (EC) ampoules of 2 and 4 ml. For use on open ground in vials of 5, 10, 30, 50 ml of EC and 100, 200, 400 ml and in canisters of 5 liters of MP stock solution. For professional use- in the form of powder P. Note: Fitoverm's dosages typical schemes applications, incl. and in this article, are given based on the content of the active substance 2 g / l. If a drug of a different concentration is used, the dose must be recalculated for the same amount of water.

Precautionary measures

Fitoverm belongs to substances of the 3rd class of danger for humans and bees, but this is largely in order to "protect against a fool", incl. manufacturer. Fitoverm on avermectins Aij to the owner, who, as they say, is friends with his head, can be considered a substance of the 4th hazard class. Accordingly, PPE to work with it, you can use simplified ones:

• on the face - a respirator-petal and glasses;

• on the head - a headdress that completely hides the hair;
• on feet - closed shoes.

Application

Fitoverm is applied by spraying according to the general rules (in the evening in quiet, warm, dry weather, not before rain). The norms and dosages of the drug are somewhat different for sporadic and weak or medium and strong pest infestation. In all cases, one must also take into account the strong dependence of the effect of the drug on temperature: the higher, the stronger the drug. For example, above +25 degrees with an average lesion, use the schemes for a weak one, and below +20 with an average or even sporadic lesion, use the schemes for a strong one.

The actual purchase volume of the drug is determined as follows:

• The volume of the working solution is determined by the size of the area to be processed.
• According to the volume of the working solution, how much Fitoverma EC is needed in ml.
• Vials or ampoules are purchased in the required quantity.

How to breed Fitoverm

Liquid Fitoverm KE is an aqueous emulsion. When preparing a working solution, firstly, it should not be allowed to delamination - the entire portion will immediately become unusable. Secondly, any emulsion causes increased wear of the sprayer. Thirdly, due to the susceptibility of the active substance to hydrolysis, Fitoverm's working solution is not stored - it must be used immediately after preparation. Therefore, you need to breed Fitoverm in this way:

1. A possibly smaller number of packages of a larger volume and / or concentration is purchased.
2. If more than one package was required for use, their contents are poured into one chemical neutral technological vessel (glass, polyethylene) immediately before the preparation of the working solution.
3. Also, 0.25-1 l of water is poured into a neutral dish, depending on the amount of the working solution (approx. 1/5 of the required).
4. Water is poured into the sprayer tank up to the volume of the working solution minus what is in those. crockery.
5. Fitoverm KE or MP is poured in a thin stream with continuous stirring into those. dishes with water.
6. The intermediate solution is also poured into the spray tank in a thin stream with stirring.
7. The sprayer with a filled tank is shaken 2-4 times and immediately begin to work.

Note 5: food utensils cannot be used to prepare Fitoverm solutions. Technological for use must be washed with a solution baking soda 1 tsp on a glass, and after that big amount pure water.

Fitoverm for indoor plants

The usual schemes for the use of Fitoverm against pests of indoor plants such as scale insects and mealybugs are ineffective. Against them, you need to use a drug of 5-fold concentration (10 g / l, not 2 g / l). It will not harm the plants - Fitoverm's phytotoxicity is not marked. Storage and Compatibility

Fitoverm in unopened packaging is stored at a temperature of -15 to +30 degrees according to the usual rules for agricultural chemistry: in a non-residential area and out of the reach of children and animals. Food products must not be kept in the room where Fitoverm is stored.

Fitoverm is incompatible with other pesticides and fertilizers. You can apply them after Fitoverm after 3 days; in extreme cases - in a day. Fitoverm can be used after other agricultural chemicals after a period of time for acc. drugs. By default, no earlier than a week later.
