How to choose a sliding wardrobe. Sliding wardrobe in the bedroom: how to choose the right one - which ones are. How to choose a wardrobe: internal filling

Cabinets that save your usable space, look presentable and stand within reason are especially popular today. Such coupes are produced by many companies. And surely among your acquaintances there are those who praise such an acquisition. You may have met dissatisfied people. How to choose a wardrobe, so as not to miscalculate? Experts will help us figure it out.

Let's decide on the configuration

As for the choice of material for doors, it depends on functional purpose cabinet, from the amount that the buyer is willing to spend on the product. The classic version of the cabinet (chipboard doors + mirror) will be the most inexpensive. A blank facade is 15-20% cheaper than a simple mirror one. Using the rest decorative materials and finishes will only increase the value of the cabinet.

It is worth taking into account the following: some materials require a specific assembly of the door, which is also more expensive.

What besides a mirror?

I would like to believe that the monotonous sentence did not confuse our readers. And before ordering a wardrobe with doors trimmed with a mirror, Belarusians are considering other ways of decorative trim.

So, lacomat is called translucent glass, on one side of which a special varnish is applied. This technique creates the illusion of a matte finish while the other side remains glossy. Lacomat, perhaps due to its bluish tint, is particularly elegant.

In turn, the lacobel is a dyed decorative glass... It is because of the absence decorative film this material is much more moisture resistant.

We will find out what our experts have to say about such types of "finishing".

Specialist comments:

Ivanova Tamara Antonovna, director of the company "Brevis"

A caveat would be nice: lacobel glass does not contain the heavy metals used in many paints, and is safe for environment and a person. However, there is general advice for working with both materials: for safety reasons, divide the front of the wardrobe into sections. Plastic is safer, but also more expensive. There is another drawback: their translucency does not hide what is behind the doors made of such material.

Ivanova Tamara Antonovna, director of the company "Brevis"

All of the above materials are popular today. If we compare the lacobel and the lacomat, then the cost of the lacobel is more expensive than the lacomat. The lacobel is not translucent, and the outline of the inner filling of the cabinet will be visible through the lacquer. The advantage of lacobel is also the variety of colors. In general, at present, there are a lot of options for decorating doors due to the variety of materials. But the choice of design largely depends on your financial capabilities, since the cost of various materials can differ dramatically.

Door fastening system

The mechanisms of wardrobes are simple and not particularly diverse. And although this nuance does not lose its significance, customers are often "distracted" by the design of the product. Dom.by warns you against this and offers to understand the features different systems door fastening.

Specialist comments:

Glinskaya Irina Valerievna, director of the company "Uyutkompaniya"

Suspended door retention systems are less reliable than doors supported on the bottom roller, since the main load falls on the ceiling. This means that it must be strong enough to withstand the load from the weight of the entire system, rigid to eliminate deflections. The door in the suspension system has a slight "backlash" at the bottom. In the suspension system, the number of materials from which the door can be made is limited. The canvas that is used for hanging door, must be solid, since the harness does not imply the presence of a reinforcing frame. Due to this suspension system more often used as interior doors than doors to wardrobes.

In systems sliding doors with support on the lower roller, the door frame is a rigid structure of aluminum horizontal and vertical profiles, which allows you to design doors by combining various materials in their filling using a combination of mortise dividers. The rollers are completely hidden inside the horizontal profile, which is especially important for doors with glass filling... It is also possible to use this system for the manufacture of interior doors. The advantage of such a door will be the variety of facades.

Ivanova Tamara Antonovna, director of the company "Brevis"

The system, in which the doors move on rollers along the groove of the lower rail and the upper rail, is considered to be more stable and therefore the most common and reliable. Its downside is that sometimes dust gets into the groove and periodic cleaning with a vacuum cleaner is required. The system in which the doors are suspended from the top rail requires certain technical conditions... The frame for such a system should be fixed as rigidly as possible. Consequently, this system is more expensive.

Choosing a frame: aluminum or steel?

In order for the quality of the purchased cabinet to please you for a long time, it is not enough to know physical properties of these materials. After all, each of them presupposes its own mechanisms of work. It is best to learn about such aspects from the lips of professionals.

Specialist comments:

Glinskaya Irina Valerievna, director of the company "Uyutkompaniya"

The steel profile in sliding door systems is lighter and thinner. Made from sheet steel. The rollers in such systems are not hidden, they are attached from the seamy side of the doors, therefore, doors in steel systems have aesthetic appearance only on the front side. In turn, the aluminum system is silent, neat in appearance, since the rollers are hidden inside. Consequently, doors in an aluminum profile can be used as sliding interior doors and partitions.

Ivanova Tamara Antonovna, director of the company "Brevis"

I will add that the aluminum structure of the cabinet front is considered more reliable thanks to the Teflon coated casters, which results in a smoother ride. And the seal used in the assembly of glass or mirrored doors of the wardrobe, more rigidly fixes the glass fastening in the profile. In the steel system, seals are not used. In addition, aluminum has a higher load capacity.

Undercarriage wheels: which material to choose?

Suppose we have decided on the frame and now we need to make a mistake with the wheels. It happens that even the most satisfied owners of sliding wardrobes after a while complain about a mechanism failure due to deformation of parts. How can these disorders be avoided?

Specialist comments:

Glinskaya Irina Valerievna, director of the company "Uyutkompaniya"

It is necessary to pay attention to the material from which the rollers of the undercarriage will be made. It is very important. The most reliable option is a steel bearing molded into plastic. Teflon-coated plastic is also fine. The most unreliable and short-lived option is pure plastic casters.

However, other experts are not inclined to interpret the features of the materials as disadvantages ...

Ivanova Tamara Antonovna, director of the company "Brevis"

Plastic casters as well as Teflon coated casters run smoothly and quietly even after a long service life. This is their indisputable advantage.

What walls can a wardrobe be built into?

Imagine that your wardrobe will be located in a natural opening so that the walls of the apartment will function as side panels. Is it important in this case what the wall is made of, what characteristics does it have?

Sliding wardrobes have won the love of customers for a long time. And it is difficult to overestimate their merits. A properly designed wardrobe will ergonomically and easily accommodate everything that you are planning to store in it; the wardrobe will transform the interior of the apartment and hide the flaws in the room: it will close the pipe, the niche, hide the curvature of the wall and help visually expand the room!

Choosing a wardrobe is a responsible event! The furniture market is replete with a huge number of proposals. How to choose from this variety nice wardrobe? The range of materials, colors, finishes and interior filling of the cabinet is so great that it can be difficult to decide.

So that you are satisfied with the result of the ordered product, do not go beyond the planned budget and do not lose sight of any important detail, we bring to your attention advice on choosing a wardrobe. We hope that they will help you when the question "How to choose a high-quality sliding wardrobe?"

How to choose a material?

The choice of material for the wardrobe is, perhaps, one of the most important tasks that you will face. As a rule, the body and internal filling of wardrobes is made of chipboard or MDF panels of various thicknesses. The thickness of the cabinet panels, in order to avoid sagging, should be calculated based on the width of each specific span (shelf). This is enough important question which is better to be entrusted to professionals with experience in cabinet design.

Chipboard

Chipboard - chipboard, which is made by pressing wood particles under the influence of high temperatures with the addition of a binder. Typically, formaldehyde resins are used as the binder. The surfaces of the plates are laminated, an edge is rolled onto the ends. And there are a lot of options for colors and finishes! Particleboard is the most popular material used for the production of wardrobes. In addition to such advantages as strength, lightness and ease of use, it is also much more budgetary than others. When buying a wardrobe, pay attention to the edge! Chipboard is afraid of moisture, but only if the edge is poorly laminated.

MDF

MDF - the abbreviation is a transliteration English name Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). The literal translation is "medium density fiberboard". This material is made from sawdust small fraction. During the manufacture of panels, wood raw materials are ground, then processed with steam under high pressure, is thoroughly dried and glued with paraffin and lingin. It should be noted that MDF is absolutely environmentally friendly and harmless to human health. MDF is very durable, resistant to moisture and hot steam. Accordingly, a wardrobe made of MDF will cost more than a similar wardrobe made of chipboard.

Determine the size:

After you have chosen the material for the wardrobe, you should think about the dimensions of the future wardrobe, namely, determine its height, width and depth, that is, choose the wardrobe according to the dimensions that you need.

How to choose a built-in wardrobe? In this case, the cabinet may be missing side walls, floor, ceiling and back wall. This significantly reduces the cost of the cabinet. However, all cabinet elements will be attached directly to the walls that confine your room. If you value the decoration of the walls, floor and ceiling, then you should choose a cabinet-type wardrobe. It should also be remembered that the built-in wardrobe cannot be moved to another place - it will be created exclusively for a specific niche or corner. While the cabinet wardrobe can be safely moved to any other place if necessary.

The height of the wardrobe is limited only by the height of the ceilings that your apartment has. However, if the ceiling is stretched, then the technological gap to the cabinet is required (at least 50 mm!). This will help to avoid damage and unnecessary costs.

We would like to draw your attention to such a thing as the depth of the cabinet. The size of 600 mm was chosen as the golden mean. With this depth of the cabinet, the clothes hanger bar will be placed in the usual way. Clothes will not wrinkle, and the wardrobe will be more than roomy. However, a way out of the situation can be found here as well. If you are limited in depth by the size of the wall, then end hangers will be used. Moreover, you can use both stationary and sliding for the cabinet - it's up to you to decide.

Sliding wardrobe doors. Which ones to choose? The choice of profile for wardrobes:

The sliding wardrobe is characterized by sliding doors. Unlike hinged facades for cabinets, they do not require additional space during use, thus allowing rational use of free space, which not every room can boast of. And the variety of materials that are used as inserts in the door makes it possible for the future cabinet to fit into any finished interior!

We must not forget about the safety of the wardrobe! Mirrors and glasses must be covered with a high-quality film, the purpose of which is to keep sharp fragments on itself in the event of a strong blow, from which no one is immune. The surface will be covered with cracks, but will not injure anyone who happens to be near the cabinet at this moment.

The production of sliding wardrobes does not stand still, so we regularly offer you more and more sliding systems for wardrobes. In addition to the already familiar floor rolling doors, there are "hinged" sliding door systems. They imply the obligatory presence of a cabinet frame, since they are attached to the roof, which in turn must withstand the considerable weight of such doors. Their main advantage is that they do not take up useful space inside the cabinet (floor rolling doors "take away" 100 mm from the depth of the cabinet) and completely hide the body behind them. It seems that the cabinet doors are literally "floating in the air"!

Also, when choosing doors for a wardrobe, you should pay attention to closers. An important detail that carries with it a comfortable use of the cabinet. Their presence will only allow you to lightly push the door - the closer will do the rest, it will simply save your time.

Deserves special attention appearance sliding wardrobe doors. Mirrors in the cabinet doors will expand the space; decorative panels Make the interior "heavier" and make it deeper; glossy finish will accentuate the important touches of the room. Feel like a real artist! Divide your wardrobe vertically and horizontally, creating unique design Your closet! Can other furniture boast such an opportunity?

Internal filling for sliding wardrobes:

So, we choose the insides. In order to get a functional wardrobe, you need to carefully choose the content. It is necessary to make a list of things that you plan to store in this cabinet. Much will also depend on HOW exactly you are used to keeping certain things in the closet.

High mezzanine shelves in the closet will accommodate large items of your everyday life. As a rule, these are things that take up a lot of space, but are used from time to time: travel bags, Christmas tree, sports equipment, maybe even boxes of household appliances.

Wide open shelves cabinet are perfect for bed linen, blankets and pillows. While for piles of clothes, it is better to use narrower cells (so that things do not fall over). Optimal height shelves range from 280 mm to 320 mm. Drawers must be included in your wardrobe filling list. Linen, belts and ties will find their refuge in them. It is necessary to place the topmost drawer in the wardrobe at a height of 1000-1200 mm from the floor. Also, when designing the sliding elements of the cabinet, it should be remembered that their width should be less than the width of the sliding door, behind which they are hidden. Thus, you will not get into the "dead zone" of sliding doors, which is hidden behind their overlap, and you will fully use the wardrobe.

Clothes hanger bars should be installed in your closet so that you can reach them. The optimum height is 2100 mm from the floor. For long clothes (evening dresses, raincoats and fur coats), leave 1500-1600 mm, for short (shirts, jackets) 1000-1100 mm is enough. There are also so-called "pantographs" or simply elevators. This item can be installed in a wardrobe to the very ceiling and lowered using a lever to the desired position.

Retractable shoe racks installed in a wardrobe are suitable for those who do not deny themselves the pleasure of purchasing a large number of shoes and boots.

The lady of the house. An irreplaceable detail of the closet of a business man who values his time and comfort, namely: trousers will not wrinkle and it will not be difficult to quickly find the ones you need in the closet.

Accessories for ties, belts and scarves complement interior decoration your closet.

Closet. Choosing a color:

So what color to choose a wardrobe? When choosing this parameter, you need to take into account the color of the furniture in the room where the wardrobe will stand (if any), and also take into account the decoration of the walls, floor and ceiling of the room. Decide what result you want to achieve: sharp contrast or laconic warm tones and smooth transitions? And then move confidently in the given direction.

How to choose a wardrobe for a hallway:

The closet will provide easy access to clothes and shoes that the family wears in the current season and will be a storage for outerwear and shoes from other seasons; several shelves and drawers, placed in the closet, will allow keeping on hand shoe cleaning products, bags, sunglasses and other small things we need. Mirrored doors installed in the wardrobe will expand the space, making the hallway noticeably larger and allow you to look at yourself from all sides before leaving the house. Thanks to this wardrobe, there will always be order and space in your hallway.

And the latest trend in furniture fashion is the TV-zone hidden in the wardrobe.

How to choose a wardrobe for a bedroom:

If you decide to buy or order yourself a wardrobe, take your time. And it can turn out like some of my friends. You come to visit them and in the corridor there is a beautiful, huge wardrobe, and next to it is a huge door of the same beauty. It was right next to it, since it flew out of the guide in the first six months after the wardrobe was mounted to it. And now she stands side by side, peacefully leaning against the wall and performs the function of a large mirror.
And what about
creating comfort in the house
we can talk if the house has
broken things.

How to choose the right wardrobe so that later such problems and misunderstandings do not arise,
so that you do not waste your earned money
money ?

To begin with, it is best to make a list of "thin places", and when choosing a wardrobe, agree with the designer or with the company where you will order or buy a wardrobe, go through each item separately.

First:

It is necessary to understand that over the years and with the advent of new offspring in the family, the number of things grows. Therefore, do not limit yourself to the necessary shelves and drawers, but rather order a wardrobe with a larger capacity at once.

Second:

Remember that the function of the back wall, side panels, bottom and roof of the wardrobe can be performed by the walls of your apartment and the floor.

There is one nuance here - the walls should not be finished with plasterboard, since plasterboard is a rather soft material and will not withstand such a load.

Third:

Pay attention to the door opening mechanism.

The first, it is the most common opening mechanism, when the door is placed in a metal frame and moves along a special groove on the rollers.

The second, less common, but more reliable, is when the rollers run on a monorail.

Why the first type of mechanism is less reliable: if the door is high, the roller can slide off the guide with a strong impact (as happened with my friends), the movement can be impeded by dust or some object trapped in the groove. The grooves will need to be constantly vacuumed.

The second option is when the roller moves along a monorail, although it is more expensive, but the roller is equipped with a special device that does not allow it to slide off the rail. It is also protected from foreign objects.

Fourth:

Pay attention to the profiles along which the doors move. Usually they are of two types - aluminum and steel. The aluminum system is quieter, seemingly more accurate, since the rollers are hidden inside (the steel rollers are located with inside doors). Accordingly, the aluminum system is more expensive.

But there is also a minus in the aluminum system - it is less durable than steel. If steel is almost eternal, then aluminum will serve you on the strength of 5-7 years.

Fifth:
The material from which the wheels of the chassis will be made is very important. If it's metal, go ahead. Teflon-coated plastic is also fine. If the casters are made of pure plastic, immediately refuse, they will not last you even a year.

Sixth:

The width of the sliding doors. It is better if it does not exceed 1 meter. Firstly, it is inconvenient to move such a door. Secondly, such a door is rather heavy, the load is increased and the fittings will quickly fail.

Seventh:
Even before choosing a wardrobe, think and decide for yourself what you will make the doors of the wardrobe, so that the designer does not impose his opinion on you, sometimes interested in making your wardrobe more expensive.

If you do mirrored doors, it is better to do such a wardrobe in the hallway. Then the space will expand. It is only important that the cabinet does not stand in front of the water door. If you have just such a case, then make a wardrobe without mirrors. Mirrors opposite front door- bad
feng shui apartments .
It is also not recommended to make mirrors on the wardrobe, which will be located in the bedroom opposite the bed. Mirrors in the bedroom, especially opposite the bed, are not the best
feng shui than the mirrors opposite the front door.

Do not think that it is best to make mirrored wardrobe doors. Now there are many different materials and possibilities, for example, the same frosted and patterned glass. And if you also have artistic talent, then you can save a lot (after all, the most expensive in a wardrobe are doors, and the simpler the doors, the cheaper the entire cabinet) by making ordinary doors from veneer,
you can then paint them yourself or apply photographs as your heart desires.

  1. Examine the layout of the room.
  2. Take careful measurements of the room.
  3. Get acquainted with the design features of the furniture.
  4. Decide on optimal design, taking into account the color, texture and finishing options.
  5. Clarify the specifics of using the cabinet.
  6. Calculate your budget.

Each type of furniture has unique characteristics, so first you have to familiarize yourself with the main types of wardrobe. For example, in the hallway you will have to purchase the most compact model, while in the living room you can place a luxurious wardrobe.

Views

Furniture makers offer several types of wardrobes. A careful study of the main characteristics of the furniture will help you choose the right product among the huge assortment. Structural features allow you to choose a wardrobe that fits perfectly into the space of the room.

Varieties by installation method

  1. One-piece freestanding - consists of a ceiling, basement, several walls and doors of various configurations. Cabinet furniture similar type is manufactured at the factory, since it does not have to be customized to fit into a niche or corner of a room. The advantage of this type of cabinet is that it is easy to assemble.
  2. Partially built-in - suitable for wall installation. The manufacture of a structure is required at times less materials(there may be no plinth, ceiling or one of the walls), but the installation process becomes more complicated, since the doors are attached to the floor and ceiling. You also have to work hard on the installation of components for the internal filling of the cabinet.
  3. Built in - perfect choice for small spaces and rooms with niches. V small apartments compact furniture will help save free space. For installation, you can dispense with all load-bearing structural elements of the built-in type. Their functions will be taken over by the walls of the room. Sliding doors will be fixed to the floor and ceiling, so careful alignment of such surfaces will have to be done.

Built-in products are cheaper at the production stage, since the main characteristic of such furniture is the complete or partial absence of some structural elements by fixing directly to the floor, ceiling and wall. The disadvantage of built-in models is the complexity of installation. In addition, such furniture cannot be moved or moved to another room.

Views by shape

  1. Trapezoidal - differ in the width of the side walls, allowing you to properly distribute the space in the room. Thanks to interesting design suitable for hallways and corridors.
  2. Corner - are two wardrobes that are connected in the corner of the room. These furniture models are compact. You can install such a structure in any room with a free corner.
  3. Straight lines are a classic rectangular or square design. Found in bedrooms and living rooms.
  4. Radial sliding wardrobes deserve special mention, the main advantage of which is exclusive design... The body of curved furniture is made in the form of an angular or trapezoidal structure, but instead of standard straight doors, concave, convex and curved facades are used. This allows you to efficiently distribute space even in the smallest rooms.

Selection rules

An ideal wardrobe will allow you to equip your home as efficiently as possible. It fits perfectly into the chosen interior design concept and provides optimal conditions for storing various household items. The choice of furniture depends on the budget and the layout of the room. Experienced designers and furniture makers also give some tips to reduce the risk of errors at the stage of buying a wardrobe.

  1. The best material for making the body of a wardrobe is considered to be MDF, but you can use economical option... In this case, chipboard with furniture edge made of PVC. Shelves and internal partitions are made of chipboard or other budget type wood.
  2. The dimensions of the furniture depend on the layout of the room. It is recommended to make the most of the free space, so the height of the cabinet often reaches the ceiling (250 to 320 cm). Width and depth depends on design features furniture, but about 10 cm will have to be allocated for the installation of the door system.
  3. Steel profiles are considered to be durable, but aluminum products are more beautiful and more comfortable to use (they make less noise). If the focus is on design, you should order furniture with aluminum profile... If you purchase a reliable and durable cabinet model, you will have to use a steel structure.
  4. Monorail door openers are prized for their reliability, but they cost more. Throughout the entire service life, the doors will not slip out of the grooves. Roller systems are much cheaper, but they will have to be cleaned regularly, as dust and dirt entering the mechanisms will cause the door to break.
  5. In the case of a roller mechanism, a ball bearing system must be purchased. In this case, the doors will open silently. The rollers themselves are made of metal or Teflon-coated plastic. The usual plastic casters should be discarded.
  6. If a built-in cabinet is selected, do not mount the shelves and doors on plasterboard-finished walls and ceilings. The floor will have to be leveled to ensure safe and long-lasting door operation.
  7. Mirrored doors can visually expand the space. For their manufacture, a mirror with a thickness of 10 mm or more with a special protective coating is used. Alternatively, you can use MDF or fiberboard doors.
  8. The parameters of the doors depend on the dimensions of the cabinet, but their width should not exceed 100 cm. If it is necessary to equip the overall cabinet, it is better to add an additional door, since wide doors are inconvenient to move. The most popular option is a cabinet with two or three doors.

Attention should also be paid to the inner filling of the cabinet. There are many recommendations regarding the distribution of space inside furniture, but they all boil down to one rule. The buyer should focus solely on his own needs and preferences.

Design

The appearance determines the level of functionality of the furniture. The designers have developed several basic concepts to create the most convenient sliding wardrobes in the process of operation. The facade will set the unique features of the design, and the choice of a specific type of door will emphasize the individual style.

  1. The built-in structure is installed once and for all, so its appearance must be universal. Cabinet furniture can be moved by changing the boring interior design scheme.
  2. There are many finishing options for the sliding door, including wood carving, sandblasting, material combinations and photo printing technology.
  3. Cabinets large sizes to be ordered with curved doors. This will visually reduce the size of the furniture. The compact design matches well with glass and mirrored doors.
  4. The optimal depth of the cabinet, according to experts, does not exceed 60 cm. In the operating conditions of corner structures, the depth of which exceeds 100 cm, it is possible to equip a full-fledged dressing room.
  5. The internal space should be divided into several functional areas, having allocated space for the placement of shelves, drawers, racks and rails for clothes.

The life of the cabinet will depend on the quality of the fittings, therefore, attention should be paid not only to visually attractive, but also to durable structural components. You should also ask the supplier for quality certificates.

Conclusion

The choice of furniture will have to take into account future operating conditions. A high-class wardrobe made of MDF with reliable fittings, a steel profile and a monorail mechanism can serve for several decades, allowing rational use of free space in the room.

When choosing a wardrobe, first of all, you need to separate the cabinet and built-in wardrobe.

What is the difference between a cabinet and a built-in wardrobe?

The cabinet-type wardrobe has all the components of a conventional wardrobe - side and rear walls, plinth, roof and bottom. This is a mobile version that can always be moved to another location. Compared to the built-in type, such a wardrobe is cheaper, since it is mainly manufactured with standard parameters. The assembly and installation of the cabinet is much easier, and if you have basic skills, you can do it yourself.

In a built-in wardrobe, the walls, floor and ceiling often replace some of the walls, so the entire structure is installed once and cannot be moved without final disassembly. This type of cabinet is ideal for maximizing useful use corners of an apartment, small rooms such as a pantry. It is very convenient if in your home non-standard layout with niches in which it is not always possible to put an ordinary wardrobe. The built-in design will solve this problem, however, it is worth remembering that it cannot be attached to plasterboard walls according to safety requirements.

Sliding wardrobes design

The front of the cabinets is usually decorated with one of the following options:

  • mirror tinted in silver, graphite or bronze and equipped with protective film, thanks to which, when struck, the fragments do not scatter;
  • wood panels made of chipboard or ten-millimeter MDF tiles;
  • four-millimeter glasses, transparent or colored tinted, with the same protection against impacts.

The above materials are often combined, supplemented with drawings, stencils, mosaics or even hand-painted, so you can choose a wardrobe for any interior.

Sliding wardrobe doors

The optimal door size is up to 2.65 m in height and no more than 1 m in width. Larger doors are usually too heavy and difficult to open. However, it is possible to buy a wardrobe with swing doors.
If a gap remains between the cabinet and the ceiling, it is usually masked with false panels or mezzanines, thus, getting additional storage space.

Consider options for filling wardrobes.

Walls

The walls of sliding wardrobes are usually made of chipboard with a thickness of 8 to 28 mm. The European standard is 18 mm, in such chipboards the content of harmful formaldehydes is lower than in boards of 16 mm. In addition to chipboard, walls can be made of MDF or fiberboard. All these materials will last long enough if they were not made in artisanal conditions.

Shelves

Shelves for sliding wardrobes are usually made of chipboard, the cut of which is covered with an edge. This is an indicator by which you can easily judge the quality of the cabinet. If you come across a low-quality product, the edge will easily come off, and during use it will quickly fall off. Overhead and cut-in edges should be avoided as they are extremely short-lived. When making quality furniture the edge must be applied using a special machine. However, in recent times often do plastic shelves that do not need edges.

Sliding systems are of two types - lower support and upper support. The first is more cheap option and is used only in cabinet cabinets, since it needs a bottom and a roof to work. This type of sliding door is very simple - a guide is installed at the bottom of the cabinet, along which the door will slide on rollers.

The upper support system is more complex, since in it the door is suspended on the upper rail. It carries the entire weight of the door, and it must be installed on the lid or, if we are talking about a built-in cabinet, on the ceiling. It is quite difficult and time-consuming to install such a structure, and it must be very reliable. What is good, there are no obstacles left in the lower part of the cabinet, but at the top you will have to somehow decorate a guide, which can spoil the appearance of the cabinet.
