Notes:
1. Values in brackets are given for the case when the height of the partition exceeds the length drywall sheet .
2. * Depending on the type of sheet, packaging, etc.
3. ** Not required in case of connecting profiles special tool by the "punch-through" method.

1. After marking, cut the gypsum fiber sheet on a flat, hard surface with a knife for cutting gypsum fiber board. Along the marking line, using a metal ruler or a rail as a guide, draw a knife several times with effort until an incision is formed, which guarantees a subsequent break along the marking.

2. Place the cut sheet on the edge of the table, and then, by breaking, separate the parts of the sheet from each other.

3. The uniform, rather dense structure of the gypsum fiber sheet allows high-quality cutting with a hacksaw or jigsaw.

4. If the trimmed edge of the gypsum fiber sheet forms in the structure partitions, cladding or ceiling outer corner that does not require protection corner profile, it is processed with a roughing plane.

Installing the frame

1. Mark position partitions and doorways on the floor with a tape measure, meter and cord breaker. Using a plumb line, transfer the markings to ceiling... The production of this operation greatly facilitates the use of a special laser device.

2. After cutting to guide profiles (PN), intended for installation on the floor and ceiling, as well as on the rack profiles (PS) adjacent to the walls, glue a sealing tape, which serves to improve the parameters partitions for sound insulation.

3. According to the markings, fix the guide profiles to the floor and ceiling with dowels (in case wooden structures - screws). Install the fasteners in increments of no more than 1 m. Install and fix in the same way the extreme post profiles adjacent to the walls.

4. Install the rack profiles in the rails with a step of about 603 mm and set them vertically. Do not mount in guides. When cutting, it must be borne in mind that the length of the rack should be 10 mm less than the actual height of the room.

5. If necessary (for example, building up), fasten the rack profiles with screws LN 9... Make the connection with an overlap of at least 10h, where h is the height of the profile back in mm.
For PS 50 overlap -> 500 mm,
PS 75 -> 750 mm,
PS 100 -> 100 mm.

Walls and partitions are considered an important element of any home. Without them, it will not be possible to divide the building into separate rooms. Partitions "Knauf", which are a steel frame and plasterboard sheathing... This popularity is due to the excellent quality and affordable cost of products. All its characteristics correspond to European standards, and the installation is so simple that any person can handle it.

Advantages

Partitions "Knauf" have found their application due to their advantages:

  • ease and speed of installation (assembled element by element);
  • ease of repair (the finished wall can be quickly disassembled and moved to another place);
  • low cost;
  • lack of "wet" processes;
  • reliability and durability.

The named partitions have gained popularity among consumers due to other qualities:

  • the ability to use the structure in regions with seismic hazard;
  • high quality products;
  • the ability to lighten the building;
  • overall construction savings;
  • a variety of architectural solutions (you can build curvilinear forms);
  • the ability to obtain a structure with increased fire resistance, sound insulation, moisture resistance;
  • environmental friendliness;
  • variety can be covered with paint, wallpaper, decorative plaster).

Installation of partitions "Knauf"

As mentioned above, this system consists of plasterboard panels, internal filler and fasteners. Additionally, it can be equipped with specialized plates, which are distinguished by increased fire protection. Sheathing can be one-, two- or three-layer. In this case, drywall, hyposofiber or water panels are usually used.

As far as they are concerned, they are guides, rack-mount and load-bearing. Together they form a frame, with each element having a standard length of 3 or 4 meters.

If necessary, the profiles can be lengthened by overlapping them. They are fastened with self-tapping screws: four on each edge and two in the middle. The outer side of the guide element is covered with insulating tape. Self-tapping screws are placed on it every 300 mm (maximum step - 1000 mm). TO supporting structures partitions are fastened with dowels.

Varieties

Depending on the purpose and device, "Knauf" partitions are divided into types: W111, W112, W113, W118. The W111 system is a frame sheathed with a single layer of material on both sides. Soundproofing is placed inside it. The guides are attached to the supporting structures using dowels. After attaching the drywall, the joints between the sheets are filled with a special compound.

The W112 partition includes a frame, two sheathing layers on both sides and sound insulation between them. The structures are also fastened with dowels, however, additional fixation of the second layer of cladding is required. This has a positive effect on fire resistance and sound insulation.

The W113 structure consists of a frame and three sheathing layers (on both sides). There is a non-combustible sound insulation inside. Such a wall has serious cladding, so it should be fastened at a maximum of 50 cm.

The W118 partition has the same structure as the previous structure, but it is reinforced with 0.5 mm thick galvanized sheet. It is also equipped with a reinforced frame made of a profile, 0.6 mm thick. The article presents drawings of the Knauf partitions and how they are attached.

Profile types

Depending on the purpose, Knauf profiles are divided into rack, guide and arched. Rack structures have a section in the form of the letter "C" and are located vertically in the frame. The uprights are installed together with guide profiles of the appropriate size. The ends of the products are equipped with two holes through which engineering communications are laid (they are hidden in the walls). They are attached to the guides with self-tapping screws, which are easily centered thanks to the longitudinal grooves.

They have a section in the form of the letter "P" without curved edges - this allows you to get a snug fit of the racks to the upper and lower elements. They are needed not only for fastening the rack parts, but also for installing jumpers between them. During manufacturing, holes are drilled in structures into which dowels are inserted during installation.

Partitions "Knauf" specifications which are indicated in the table below, can also consist of arched profiles, which serve as the basis for curved structures. They are made in different radii, and the shelves can be turned inward or outward.

Cladding options

During the installation process, structures can be sheathed different kinds drywall sheets. The cladding is attached to metal profiles and can be 1, 2 or 3 layers. This is necessary when the building is subject to deformation loads.

Plain gypsum board is used in rooms with normal humidity and differs from other species in gray. The composition includes protective additives that make the material "breathable". When manufactured, it is dyed green.

Special additives are added to fire-resistant sheets that are not subject to combustion. The material is different pink... Combined gypsum plasterboard combines the properties of fire-resistant and moisture resistant types... It can be recognized by its green color with red markings.

Installation technology of partitions "Knauf"

There is nothing complicated in this process, but it is important to know some rules and nuances. First you need to prepare the walls, floor and ceiling. They will need careful alignment to ensure that the guides fit smoothly. The next stage is marking, the evenness of which is checked with a level, cord and plumb line.

After preparing the base, proceed to the installation of the profiles:

  1. The supporting elements are installed and attached with dowels (step - 200-400 mm).
  2. They have vertical structures that are located at regular intervals (corresponds to half the width of the gypsum board).
  3. Attach them with self-tapping screws.
  4. Lay horizontal guides so that they set two identical planes of the future partition.
  5. The frame is fastened with a cross and special screws.

The result should be a frame with square cells 600x600 mm.

Warming and plasterboard sheathing

Installation of the "Knauf" partition includes the installation of a soundproof layer. Most a budget option allows you not to use Additional materials, however, if necessary, you can lay a foil-based insulation inside the frame or mineral wool.

After installing the frame, laying the insulation and engineering communications you can start attaching drywall. For these purposes, special self-tapping screws are used. You should be aware that the connection of sheets can be carried out arbitrarily, however, a checkerboard pattern is preferable. Thanks to this, there will be no cracks on the structure and a stronger connection will be obtained.

Partitions "Knauf" - constructions with original elements characterized by durability and high quality... Their use will allow you to build small building in short time.

Hello dear readers! Not so long ago, the following situation happened: a friend finally got his hands on an album of typical drawings from a material manufacturer. A man first learned that by technology Knauf drywall sometimes mounted on profiles in two rows! He came to me for an explanation, and I said that the manufacturer offers different variants so that builders can reduce the likelihood of cracking. If you do not set yourself the goal of saving on important nuances, but want to install durable construction, learn all the subtleties. I will help you understand them now, since drywall is my favorite material.

What designs can be made of drywall using Knauf technology

Technology installation of GKL Knauf is slightly different depending on the type of partition used. ABOUT characteristic features, if there are any, let's talk separately, for each specific structure. Distinguish the following basic systems GKL Knauf.

C 111: technology with Knauf

This is the most simple construction, which is a supporting frame made of a steel profile, sheathed on both sides with sheets of plasterboard, filled with an insulating material. The thickness of such a plasterboard partition is minimal and is equal to the sum of the width of the bearing profile and the thickness of the sheets of material. Such a structure is rather decorative in nature, since it is not able to withstand heavy loads and can easily be destroyed by physical contact. Partitions made of gypsum plasterboard according to the Knauf s111 system are used in those places where there is no need for a high level of heat and noise insulation and the structure itself is needed, rather, for visual separation of the space.

C 112: double-layer plasterboard technology

Partitions from gypsum plasterboard according to the Knauf s112 system are made in a similar way, their main difference is that drywall is sewn in two layers on each side. This increases strength finished structure improving its performance. More durable to mechanical stress, they, however, cannot replace full-fledged walls.

C 113: technology with three-layer plasterboard plasterboard Knauf

This variety differs from the first two in that it is sheathed with three sheets of drywall on each side. This approach is usually used where it is necessary to combine different types of GCR.

Types of GKL Knauf:

  • normal;
  • moisture resistant (wall color green);
  • fire-resistant (wall color red);
  • combined GKLVO.

They can be used in various combinations depending on the area of application. For example, the walls of corridors intended for evacuation in case of fire are sheathed with fire-resistant sheets.

C 115: reliable technology from Knauf

Plasterboard partitions "Knauf", made according to this system, represent a double metal frame, sheathed with a double layer of drywall sheets. This approach allows increasing the thickness of the final wall, as well as increasing its insulating characteristics by using a double layer of insulation inside. The double metal frame, in turn, makes such a wall strong enough. The Knauf ceilings made according to this technology can already be considered a full-fledged wall.

When using this technology, it is necessary to lay an insulating tape between the joints metal frames.

An important point is the laying of a heat-insulating tape at the junction of two metal frames, this is necessary so that the wall does not freeze through, condensation does not form in it and it retains high operational properties.

C 116: multi-layer plasterboard technology

In contrast to system 115, transverse spacers made of gypsum plasterboard are used here, designed to increase the thickness of the wall and leave space inside for wiring all the necessary pipes and communications. Essentially, inside the walls, an artificial cavity is formed for technical use.

C 118: installation technologies

This type of partitions is made using technology 113 with the only difference that between the layers of drywall, the wall is sheathed with galvanized steel half a millimeter thick. Such a design is designed to maintain its consumer properties even when trying to break it. Of course, such a wall will not withstand a grinder, but it will take time to demolish it, so the use of structure 118 in order to protect against penetration is fully justified.

C 121 and 122: how to build a partition with Knauf

The GKL Knauf partitions, made using this technology, are practically the same as the systems 111 and 112, with the only difference that here the frame is made of wood.

Knauf drywall technology: basic provisions

Important to remember. Separately, it is worth talking about the installation of all the specified gypsum board partitions using the "Tigi Knauf" technology, this method involves the arrangement of sheets of different layers overlapping each other. Or in a runaway, as they say. That is, the joints of the sheets at different levels should not intersect. The instruction for the construction of partitions using this technology indicates that the joints of slabs of different levels should be at a distance of at least half a meter from each other. This applies to both vertical and horizontal joints. Observing this rule, you will greatly increase the strength of the finished structure.

Choosing "Knauf", you get not separate elements, but ready-made engineering systems.

The use of Knauf gypsum plasterboard systems implies the work of a complete closed cycle, in which all materials and components are used only by this manufacturer. This approach is useful in many ways. The fact is that Knauf does not just produce various elements, this company supplies ready-made engineering systems in which everything is thought out.

Each small part individually, in its place, forms an overall monolithic result. Here's what you need to work with this technology:

  • Profiles. At "Knauf" bearing and guide profiles are made in such a way that when mounting one to the other there would be no distortions, distortions and other anomalies. The finished frame, built from the specified material, is always even, strong and reliable.
  • Filler, or insulator. It is recommended to use only mineral wool from the specified manufacturer to fill the space between the walls. It does not spread combustion, does not rot, does not support organic life forms, which means that mice in such walls will not start. In addition, such wool is made for the width of the inter-wall space and does not require additional processing.
  • The drywall itself of this manufacturer, which meets all European quality standards, in combination with the rest of the elements of this designer, is able to carry many years of good-quality service.
  • Rough and finishing compositions for grouting and sealing, created taking into account the composition of the cardboard and gypsum filler of this particular brand, successfully complement the drywall from this manufacturer, showing excellent adhesion to its surface. Thus, the finished wall with a rough finish already looks complete.
  • An insulating tape of the required width for a specific profile, as well as all hardware for work, should also be chosen from the products of the specified brand. After all, the quality of these elements has been tested and certified, as well as tested over many years of use. Do not question the quality of the finished wall, saving on fasteners. After all, it is on it that all these components are held.

Conclusion

As can be understood from the above, Knauf technology for walls and partitions made of plasterboard is a reliable and calculated engineering system, which is purchased in parts, but, being installed on site, represents a direct integration of German quality into the Russian interior.

Knauf: technology for mounting walls, partitions, plasterboard ceilings

Drywall is widely used in the construction of internal structures: additional walls, decorative partitions and openings, arches and niches, ceilings. In each of the cases, it will be necessary to install a reliable support so that the walls or ceilings are strong and serve for more than a dozen years.

One of the popular installation systems is partitions Knauf... This is a series of plasterboard structures based on a frame made of metal profile... At the time of manufacture, all the nuances of the technology are observed, so these complete systems do not harm general level reliability or integrity of the wall.

Drywall for Knauf technology

A specially developed series of manuals has been developed. Using them and an album of working drawings, you will effortlessly disassemble all the subtleties of the system design. Each series examines in detail the nuances of technology for working with a particular component. For example, a series for partitions C111 or C112.

Ceiling mounting technology according to the Tigi Knauf system

When installing ceilings of such a plan, you should adhere to certain rules that will allow you to do the work without flaws and mistakes. These requirements have taken a lot from the standard ones, but there are also some peculiarities.

Features of using Tigi Knauf systems when installing ceilings:

  • It is not necessary to prepare the surface for installation.
  • The Tigi Knauf system is mounted on a finished ceiling slab. Drywall is pre-mounted on it.
  • Tigues are installed on a frame made of wood, metal or a base already closed with materials.
  • Cut the material neatly. with the use of appropriate tools for these purposes. From the outside, a chamfer is created, which is subsequently putty.
  • Plasterboard is positioned so that the seams are random. The step of fastening the seams of the material corresponds to 60 cm. This avoids cross-shaped joints, which are prohibited when working with a profile.
  • Between pieces of material, gaps of 0.5-0.7 cm are left. This approach to fixation reduces the effect of mechanical stress on the sheets, which provides protection against chips and cracks.
  • The fixing of the casing is carried out using self-tapping screws. They are located in increments of 200-300 mm. This indicator depends on the total load of the structure. In this case, it is allowed to use a mechanical, pneumatic, electric tool.

Technological map of products: drywall from Knauf

To achieve compliance with the developed technology, a typical routing, which is used for finishing. Complex systems required for accurate material calculation plasterboard ceiling... The map helps in the assembly of the structure.

More precisely, a typical technological map is intended for the development of projects carried out with the use of gypsum board. It is used for the correct erection of structures.

The map is considered to be a kind of handbook for craftsmen, whose specialization lies in the construction of suspended ceiling structures made of plasterboard.

The Knauf map takes into account the characteristics of materials, indicates their consumption in accordance with the dimensions of the structures being built. In addition, the order of installation is prescribed in the card.

Knauf technology when working with drywall

Knauf firmly holds the leading position in the modern building materials market. The present German quality allows you to mount durable and reliable plasterboard structures- ceilings, walls, partitions and arches. The assortment includes Knauf and GKL, and all "consumables": profiles, suspensions, putties, primers. It is about the profiles that will be discussed in the next article.

What is Knauf's drywall profile? This is an element made of high quality galvanized steel intended for fixing hl in different types designs. Their classification and technical characteristics are shown in table 1.

Table 1. Varieties of Knauf metal profiles

What you need to install Knauf profiles: technology

From the above table, it can be seen that there are many options for manufacturing a metal profile, depending on the characteristics of the application as frame elements. Each type has its own installation features, so you can consider the whole process using an example of installation false ceiling.

First, you should familiarize yourself with a number of rules:

  • everything renovation work spend in a dry room;
  • choose ceiling profiles for drywall from a well-known manufacturer (Knauf, for example);
  • neat markup is a must, as it will avoid gross mistakes and save material;
  • before installing the profile, you must additionally check the markup using a level;
  • before sheathing, you need to make sure the strength of the entire frame, as this will avoid "distortions".

After the design of the plasterboard ceiling has been chosen and the budget has been calculated, you can go to the building supermarket. It is advisable to purchase there:

  • laser level;
  • measuring tool;
  • drill or hammer drill;
  • scissors for metal;
  • profiles of two types (guides and ceiling);
  • suspensions;
  • dowels (anchors).

Also, to create smooth lines an auxiliary tool is needed for bending drywall and metal profiles. For example, an awl, a needle roller and special equipment for cutting metal. The arched profile will become the best solution for curly designs, since it is easier to bend it than other types.

Ceiling mounting technology when working with Knauf drywall

There are several stages of installing a frame from Knauf drywall profiles. First you need to determine the angle, which is lower in level than all the others. To do this, you need a simple measuring tool - a tape measure.

At least 5 cm recede from the selected point and mark along the perimeter of the room. All milestones are connected in a line using a paint line. According to the markings, you can already attach the guides, then the hangers, the ends of which should be bent. After that, using self-tapping screws, the ceiling profiles are mounted and the jumpers are installed. That's it, the frame is ready. You can start plating hl and finishing work.

Installation of Knauf profiles will not be a problem for neat craftsmen, but the problem of choosing a manufacturer remains relevant. The fact is that building elements from well-known companies cost a lot of money, so the average person is always looking for an alternative. Finding it is not so easy, but it is quite possible to make measurements and installation correctly. This approach can save up to 10% of your money. Are there any other ways to make reasonable savings without sacrificing quality?

Knauf: installation technology

Using one view Knauf products, rationally and related materials to acquire the same brand. One of the manufacturer's concepts is material compatibility. That is, for example, Knauf drywall and fasteners of the same brand are ideal for each other.

Knauf: a manufacturer of drywall and more

It is believed that about 70% of drywall sold in Russia is produced under this brand. Knauf has been confidently leading its market for several years, and the company's factories are widely represented on Russian territory.

Knauf is an international company based on the classic principles of a family business. The manufacturer adheres to these principles, which are quite rare today, which, of course, affects the quality of the products. This company is rightfully considered the authority in the world of corporations producing building materials.

There is no doubt that the factories located on the territory of the CIS operate using exactly the same technology as in the west. The equipment at the factories is the most modern and advanced, and the quality standards are the same both for, for example, a plant located in Germany, and for a Russian plant.

Knauf drywall production technology

Construction sheet-gypsum boards of type A - this is how it is correct to call the familiar gypsum boards. It is a building and finishing high-quality material that is used for wall cladding, the construction of partitions, ceiling structures and products, the task of which is sound absorption and sound insulation.

Everyone Knauf leaf necessarily contains the following information:

  • Letter marking of the sheet type - GSP - A;
  • The type of longitudinal edges of the sheet is indicated;
  • The standard is indicated;
  • Figures that indicate the width, length and thickness of the sheet (dimensions are indicated in millimeters).

If we talk about technical characteristics, Knauf drywall is a rectangular building element consisting of two layers of special cardboard with a gypsum layer and the addition of reinforcing inclusions. The side edges of the strip are folded with cardboard edges.

The core of such a sheet is a gypsum binder under the designation G4 (GOST 125-79).

Knauf drywall sheets have:

  • A semicircular thinned edge, which is considered a good technological solution;
  • Facing cardboard, which adheres perfectly to the core, it is "organized" by adhesive additives;
  • Cardboard is used not only as a building frame, but also as a basis for applying any finish.

By the way, the technical characteristics of the cardboard meet all the requirements for the use of this material in residential premises.

Knauf drywall size

Knauf sheets have certain dimensions, which are considered to be in millimeters.

Dimensions of plasterboard:

  • Length has a size ranging from 2000 mm to 4000 mm;
  • Thickness gypsum sheet - size 6 and a half mm, 8 mm, 9.5 mm, as well as 12.5 mm, 14 mm, 16 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, 24 mm;
  • Width sheet - size 600-1200 mm.

A standard plasterboard sheet has a size of 2500 x 1200 x 12.5. A sheet of 3 square meters weighs 29 kg. Plasterboard is packed in packages, each of which contains 50 plates. One package is definitely enough to finish 150 square meters.

Some craftsmen alter these sizes for themselves, but there is plenty to choose the right size, so this need may not arise. Such parametric characteristics are very convenient for the customer's choice.

Acoustics

This is perforated drywall. The name speaks for itself - perforated plates are used for sound insulation and sound absorption. This is a sheet, the edges of which are cut off, and a sound-absorbing layer is glued to the back.

At the same time, the sound absorption parameters of the slabs can be different (again, there is plenty to choose from). And according to the pattern, gypsum plasterboards differ, they can be white and black.

Drywall Tigi Knauf

Tigi Knauf complete systems are another great invention of this building brand. The essence of the system is that the repair takes place without the so-called wet processes. That is, no liquid masonry, no plastering. For many craftsmen, this is a weighty argument in favor of buying products from this particular manufacturer.

The kit includes:

  • Plates themselves for cladding;
  • Material for creating a metal frame;
  • Tools for work;
  • Auxiliary devices;
  • Detailed recommendations for work.

That is, the list of items that are included in the complete system will be impressive. There are the plates themselves, and profiles, and extension cords, and connectors. Included in the complete system of suspensions, screws, anchoring elements, dowels. It is noteworthy that you will not have to spend money on reinforcing tape, putty and primer - everything is included.

Distribution interior space in a house or apartment for rooms today, it is most efficiently and quickly performed by installing plasterboard partitions using the Knauf technology. Application modern materials allows you to assemble internal structures of any complexity in any operating conditions. The main advantages of the technology are prompt installation, high degree constructiveness and soundproofing performance due to the use of fillers.

Partitions are frame structure with double-sided cladding sheet plasterboard and filling soundproof material... They provide for the installation of outlets, the laying of electrical and low-current wiring, internal pipeline fittings... The structures are designed for use in both dry and damp rooms, as well as for hanging furniture and resistance to mechanical stress.

Partition features

Depending on the conditions and architectural features of the room, different requirements are imposed on the partition. The main criteria from which you need to build on:

  • dry or damp room;
  • ceiling height;
  • the likelihood of mechanical stress;
  • requirements to fire safety;
  • the need to hang furniture or equipment.

Drywall selection

GCRs differ in thickness and specialization. Thickness - on sheets for frame (12.5 mm) and frameless (9.5 mm) mounting. Since the partition is made on the frame, drywall with a thickness of 12.5 mm should be chosen.

9.5mm sheets are intended for glue mounting or sheathing old surface with support on the entire plane. In this case, the division of drywall into wall and ceiling is erroneous.

By specialization, gypsum boards differ into standard, moisture-resistant, shock-resistant and fire-resistant.

Moisture-resistant material is used in wet rooms - bathrooms, swimming pools, toilets, kitchens, etc.

Shock-resistant is used with the likelihood of mechanical influences provided for by the purpose of the premises, for example, gyms, children's rooms. Due to the increased strength, such drywall is also used for the construction of structures with a height of 8 m or more. Fire-resistant GK is used in rooms with increased requirements for fire safety, as well as for covering areas where it is planned to install a furnace, boiler or electric heating devices. Standard ones are cheaper and are great for dry living and public spaces.

Two-layer or single-layer cladding

Sheathing of the frame with sheets of GK can be done in one or two layers. A conventional partition that does not perform load-bearing functions is made with a single layer cladding. If necessary, hang any equipment, furniture or cladding with massive ceramic tiles, the sheets are mounted in 2 layers.

If it is intended to use impact-resistant sheets with two-layer sheathing, the first layer can be performed plain drywall... It is also possible to implement a "warm wall" using a heating IR-film. In this case, the film is mounted on the first layer of the plasterboard, and the second layer can be applied with sheets of 9.5 mm thickness.

Profile selection

As guides, galvanized PN profiles with a base of 50, 75 or 100 mm and a shelf width of 40 mm are used. Rack - PS must match the guides, so they have a corresponding base width 2 mm less with a shelf width of 50 mm. All Knauf profiles have a wall thickness of 0.6 mm, which differs from products from other manufacturers with a wall thickness of 0.4 mm.

The choice of size is carried out depending on the height of the partition and the requirements for sound insulation. For heights up to 3 m, it is sufficient to apply a profile with a width of 50 mm, from 3 to 5 m - 75 mm and over 5 m - with a width of 100 mm. Naturally, the wider the frame, the greater the distance between the walls, and, therefore, the thicker the sound insulation layer. Therefore, if the requirements for sound insulation indicators are increased, then even for a standard partition height of 2.5 m, the profiles should be chosen wider.

Frame installation

The assembly of plasterboard partitions using the Knauf technology begins with the installation of the frame. This part of the structure will be hidden and, if mistakes are made, the entire structure will have to be dismantled. Therefore, this stage must be taken with complete seriousness and compliance with all the rules.

Markup

The layout of the structure should be started from the floor. To draw a straight line, you need to measure extreme points and pull the thread between them. You can transfer the markings to the walls and ceiling using a plumb line. The installation lines of the partition are marked with a pencil on all 4 planes (walls, floor and ceiling).

Professionals use a laser level for these purposes, which speeds up and simplifies the process. You also need to mark the location of the doorway by marking it on the line drawn on the floor.

Installation of guides

Before installing the guide elements, it is necessary to stick the sealing tape on the sides adjacent to the walls, floor and ceiling. This will weaken the sound transmission and prevent cracks in the finish.

Profiles are set at an angle between the base and the shelf along the marked lines. Fastening to the floor and walls is done with plastic dowel-nails, and to the ceiling - with metal anchor dowels. In the place of the doorway, floor guides are not installed.

Installation of racks

Based on the standard width of the gypsum board - 120 cm, the racks are installed in increments of 40 or 60 cm, so that each sheet rests on vertical profiles at the edges and in the middle. Required amount racks are cut so that their length is less than the height of the ceiling by 1 cm. This is done for ease of installation and compensation of floor deflection, as well as seismic loads.

Then the racks are inserted into the lower and upper guide profile with shelves in the direction of plasterboard installation and are set strictly vertically. Verticality is verified using a reiki level. Immediately after setting, the stand is fastened to the rail using a cutter.

Installation of doorway profiles

Given the massiveness of the doors, as well as the dynamics during its operation, a reinforced UA profile with a wall thickness of 2 mm is used for the doorway. According to the marking of the opening, 2 sections of UA profiles are set vertically in the guides and through them are fixed to the floor and ceiling with dowels using special adjustable brackets. The upper contour of the doorway is limited by the horizontal section of the PN profile, fixed in the same way as the lintels.

Often, 2 rack profiles are used, inserted into each other in the form of a box, but this is not enough for the weight of the door and the dynamics of the loads.

Installation of jumpers

Jumpers are made of a guide bar and are installed in a horizontal position between the racks at the calculated places of the horizontal joints of the sheets of GK. To do this, cut a profile 20 cm longer than the distance between the posts. Then 10 cm is measured on both sides and the shelves are cut at an angle of 45 ° from the marked line to the edges of the shelves. Then the edges are folded at a right angle. In each horizontal line, the jumpers are mounted alternately, alternating with the bent ends up and down.

Thus, the folded parts are put on the posts and do not interfere with each other. Jumpers are also fixed using a cutter. When the frame is installed, a spacer tape is applied along the abutment to the ceiling in order to prevent cracks in the corners.

Installation of gypsum board

The installation of drywall is carried out in conditions of relatively constant humidity, so work must be planned after all wet processes are completed - pouring the screed, plaster and drying. After delivery of sheets of HA to the installation site, they must be kept for 24 hours to acclimatize (equalize humidity). During this time, the material is stored horizontally without direct contact with the floor. In an inclined position, the sheets can deform.

Sheathing of the frame starts at the bottom with an indent from the floor of 1 cm. Based on the standard sheet length of 250 cm and the height of the ceiling, as well as taking into account the gap between the bottom end and the floor, it is necessary to calculate the height of the required piece of gypsum board under the ceiling. According to the technology of installing partitions made of KNAUF plasterboard, it is not allowed to use segments shorter than 40 cm, so if as a result of the calculation this size turned out to be smaller, then you need to start installation from half of the sheet. All horizontal ends are machined with a special edge planer with a bevel angle of 22.5 ° to a depth of 1/3 of the thickness. For installation bottom sheet you need to prepare pads 1 cm thick to maintain an appropriate distance from the floor.

Installation is carried out intermittently so that the horizontal joints do not coincide in one line and are at least 40 cm in height. The sheets are fastened to the frame with TN 25 screws with a pitch of 25 cm.The screw is screwed in with an indent from the end edge of at least 15 mm and from the longitudinal - 10 mm. The screw must penetrate into the frame to a depth of at least 10 mm, and the head must be recessed by 1 mm. The sheets are not attached to the guides on the floor and ceiling.

For cladding doorways, the vertical joint should not go in line with the opening, therefore, an L-shaped cutout is made in the cladding material.

After sheathing one side of the partition, mineral heat and sound insulation are placed in the cavity between the walls. It should be laid tightly to the frame elements without gaps. Roll or board material is selected in thickness equal to the distance between the walls.

Then the wiring is pulled through the structural holes in the racks. If necessary, you can pre-drill additional holes and process their edges so as not to damage the insulation of the wires. After that, you can start covering the second side using a similar technology.

At the end of the drywall installation, holes are drilled in the provided places with an annular cutter for the installation of sockets.

It is more convenient to install the sockets opposite each other on both sides of the partition. This saves wiring, but reduces sound insulation properties partitions, so it is better to do it right and install adjacent sockets with a horizontal offset of 10-15 cm.

Putty joints

Vertical and horizontal joints are primed 3 hours prior to filling. Sealing is done with high strength gypsum plaster in 2 stages. First, the joints are covered with putty. Immediately over the fresh mortar, a paper reinforcing tape is applied with a slight indentation with a spatula. Corner joints of the partition with the wall are reinforced with corner perforated profiles. A cover layer is applied to the seams only after the first layer has completely dried. In the case of two-layer cladding, the joints of the first layer are puttyed without reinforcing tape.

Finishing

The formed plane of the partition is a rough surface and is subject to front finishing. Wallpapering, painting can be used as cladding. water-based paints or facing with tiles.

In any case, the entire surface will have to be putty with alignment to the level of the seams. Before puttingty, it is advisable to treat the entire surface with a primer, and after it dries, putty the screw heads.

Wallpaper

The putty is applied in a thin, even layer. The starting layer will be sufficient for the subsequent gluing of wallpaper with a preliminary primer with wallpaper glue according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Painting

For painting, the wall must be brought up to ideal condition... For this, a finishing layer is applied over the dried starting layer. gypsum mortar... After drying, cleaning with a float and a mandatory primer is performed. If you neglect the primer before painting, the paint on the seams and between them will be absorbed unevenly, resulting in stains.

Tile

For facing with wall tiles, an ideal surface is not required and you can only limit yourself to a starting layer of putty. It should be borne in mind that tiles are usually used in wet rooms, and this is favorable conditions for the growth of fungi. Therefore, prior to filling, the primer should be applied with a special composition containing a fungicide.

Before laying, the wall is covered with a special waterproofing compound intended for the subsequent laying of tiles. The composition is applied with a brush, preferably in 2 layers. After the waterproofing has dried, the tiles are laid on tile adhesive, as well as on other surfaces in damp rooms.

Hanging furniture and equipment

As already mentioned, partitions made of plasterboard according to the Knauf system, designed for hanging shelves, cabinets and other interior elements, are made with two-layer sheathing. The technology for attaching hinged elements depends on the weight, which determines the choice of fasteners.

For fastening are used:

  • dowel-butterfly - up to 10 kg;
  • Driva dowel - up to 30 kg;
  • metal dowel for Molly hollow structures - up to 50 kg;
  • when hanging 45-75 kg in advance, two racks of reinforced profiles are used in the frame, as for the doorway. An embedded part is installed on them - a traverse, into which a self-tapping screw will then be screwed through the gypsum board without the use of a dowel.

For reliability, when selecting a fastening structure, it is necessary to take into account a safety margin of at least 30%.

Content:

One of the most effective methods ceiling alignment is the installation of a plasterboard ceiling using Knauf technology. This method takes quite a bit of time and effort, but the result is great. This method is a sequential assembly of finished structural elements.

Let's take a look at what is included in the proposed kit:

  1. Guides.
  2. Profile 28X60.
  3. Various hanging elements.
  4. Crabs.
  5. Profile connectors, they are required only if the length of the profiles is not enough and they have to be increased by connecting together.
  6. Ceiling plasterboard Knauf.
  7. Fasteners (dowels, bugs and screws).

Preparatory work

Installation work should be carried out during the period finishing works indoors, GKL installation technology Knauf ceilings only applicable if all wet works have already been completed. Also, before starting work with the ceiling, it is worth aligning all vertical surfaces. In the room it is worth keeping the normal room temperature and humidity. In no case should the temperature drop below 10 degrees Celsius.

Before starting work, it is worth preparing the tools:

  • puncher;
  • cordless screwdriver and drill;
  • tape measure and pencil;
  • knife for processing ends;
  • hydro level.

Marking and fastening guides

To carry out the marking of the ceiling, which will be mounted using Knauf technology from plasterboard, it will not be enough to use building level, for this purpose, a hydro level or a laser device is ideal. It is also worth preparing a paint job. After the marks have been placed in the corners of the room with the help of the hydro level, they are connected to each other along the entire perimeter with the help of a cord.

The fastening of the metal profile will be carried out under the marked line, so it is worth remembering that the finishing floor will go down to the width of the profile and to the thickness of the drywall sheet. This point should be thought out in advance so that, ultimately, the ceiling does not fall too low.

At the stage of marking, it is worth looking at the ceiling and walls for the presence of electrical wiring, it is recommended to outline its location. This will prevent its damage when attaching the metal-profile frame.

After all the markings have been carried out, it is worth fixing the guides; for this purpose, use a profile of 27 by 28 mm. They are fixed to the wall with dowels 6 40 mm.

Frame installation

Knauf technology assumes directly on the frame. After fixing the guide profiles, you can begin to mount it. It is necessary to fix the suspensions along the previously marked lines. To anchor them on concrete base dowels must be used. For the frame, the Knauf profile 27 by 60 mm is used. The recommended distance between the profiles is 40 cm.When all the profiles are installed, you can proceed with the installation individual pieces profile that will run perpendicular to the main one.

On a note: In order to connect the elements at right angles, it is necessary to use a special connecting profile - "crab".

It snaps onto the profile, but for reliability and strength it is also attached to the profile using 3.5 x 9.5 mm self-tapping screws. In the finished version, a frame with a mesh size of 40 to 40 cm should be obtained. The final stage of the installation of a metal-profile frame is to level the surface and fix the suspensions. It is with their help that you can adjust the horizontal plane of the suspended ceiling. The suspensions should be spaced no more than 50 cm from each other. If there are more of them, this will only improve the strength and reliability of the profile structure.

Installation of drywall on the frame

There is no big difficulty in attaching gypsum plasterboard sheets to the ceiling, the Knauf installation technology for gypsum plasterboard ceilings is very easy to perform. But to create more comfortable conditions work is worth asking for help, since drywall sheets have enough big sizes and keeping them under the ceiling is difficult enough. Before plating, it is recommended that you familiarize yourself with the basic rules for carrying out work:

  1. Plasterboard sheets should be fixed in the direction of all profiles with a pitch between the screws no more than 20 cm. In those places where the sheets are joined, the screws will be offset.
  2. In order to cut a straight piece of drywall, you should use sharp knife... After making an incision in the top layer, the sheet can be broken along the notch. If you need to prepare curly parts for cutting them out, it is better to use a hacksaw.
  3. It is necessary to screw in the screws carefully, it is important to control that the cap is slightly recessed and does not protrude above the surface. But you must be careful not to break through the sheet, as the fastening will be unreliable.

Plastering the plasterboard ceiling begins with finishing the joints. It is imperative to use a mesh that will prevent the plaster from cracking. Puttying the entire surface is carried out only after the joints are completely dry.
